Because the truth is too harsh for the public to know. The atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which people were made to believe that the US used to end the WWII with much less casualities for both the US and Japan, not only failed to do so, but in fact it was a big lie and they were intended for human experiments. Truman knew ABombs would never be needed to end the War. He was looking down on Japanese as beasts, and this played a big role in his decision as shown in the timeline below: (1) On September 18, 1944, FDR met Churchill in Hyde Park, New York to make the Hyde Park Agreement for collaboration, control and use of atomic bombs. In FDR’s …

‘Fritada con Maduros’
by Guest Nicole- 0 replies

‘Fritada con MadurosÂ’ is a favorite dish here in Ecuador. Traditionally cooked in large bronze or copper pots and stirred with big wooden spoons. Cubes of pork meat including the fat are fried for several hours in bubbling pork lard until itÂ’s crispy on the outside. Not approved by any Healthy Heart Group but nonetheless an amazingly tasty dish. ‘MadurosÂ’ are ripe plantain/green bananas. They are often fried in butter and are wonderfully sweet and tasty. Along the side of the road or in front of homes in residential neighborhoods you can often find women cooking and serving plates of Fritada y Maduros. Something to sample on a visit here? (CNN)Around 93% of the world's children under 15 years of age breathe air that is so polluted it puts their health and development at serious risk, accounting for 1.8 billion children, according to a report published by the World Health Organization ahead of its first global conference on air pollution and health in Geneva. In 2016, 600,000 children were estimated to have died from acute lower respiratory infections caused by polluted air. Air pollution is one of the leading threats to health in children under 5, accounting for almost one in 10 deaths among this age group, the report reveals. "This is inexcusable. Every child should be able to breathe clean…

A Florida couple is recalling a distressing experience on a Carnival Cruise after finding a hidden camera pointing at their bed. In an interview set to air Monday, Chris and Dana White told Inside Edition that they discovered a recording device hidden among TV wires in their stateroom last October on the Carnival Fantasy, a three-day Caribbean cruise departing from Mobile, Alabama. "I said, 'Is that what I think it is?' " Chris White said. "And she looked at it and she became concerned. And we were just really flabbergasted that there's a camera in the room and it's plugged up and it's working." The couple called Carnival security and used their…

A man walks in the flooded St. Mark's Square during the high-water (Acqua Alta) alert in Venice yesterday. Photo: Miguel Medina/AFP Three quarters of Venice was underwater yesterday as violent storms swept across Italy. The first high water of the autumn hit Venice Monday and emergency sirens blared across the lagoon city yesterday as tourists were evacuated from the centre. 75% of the city centre was underwater, officials said, after high tides and stormy weather caused waters in the canal-ringed city to reach historic high levels. Yesterday visitors were barred from an inundated St. Mark's Square and police carried children to safety as the…

Sarah Palin slammed President Barack Obama Friday afternoon, telling attendees at a Donald Trump rally that it was a “stupid” decision to visit Hiroshima ahead of Memorial Day Weekend. “Stupid is thinking that it’s OK on Memorial Day Weekend for the Democrat leader to take another U.S. apology lap,” Pain said in a rambling San Diego speech. “This time, this time dissing our vets. With claims of the greatest generation were perhaps perpetuating the evil of World War II.” Obama on Friday paid tribute to the “silent cry” of the 140,000 people killed by the world’s first atomic bomb attack and sought to renew attention in his unfulfilled vision of a world with…
