My wife stumbles from the bedroom one morning, into the kitchen, and the cat is right there to meet her. "He didn't feed me," it cries. "I've been so hungry for so long, and he doesn't care! He wants me to st-starve! He doesn't care if I d-d-die!" What a liar! I fed that cat thirty minutes ago! Delicious chicken feast. So delicious that my wife will probably be furious because she planned to use it for our dinner this evening. I throw the cat outside where the plants are. But I forget the Bible principle, ‘Bad associations spoil useful habits.’ When I walk outside later, those flowers lite right into me, complaining about God. "He hasn't watered m…

President Biden met face-to-face with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the leader whom US intelligence has deemed responsible for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Despite getting heat from critics for visiting Saudi Arabia, Biden defended his meeting with MBS by saying it’s in the best interests of US foreign policy to reset fraught relations with the Saudis, who are fierce foes of Iran. Biden also said he raised the topic of the Khashoggi murder “at the top of the meeting” with MBS and blamed him for the journalist’s death.

If I wanted to set up my own virtual 3D "room" that another person could be invited to visit me in "virtually"... What would be the best way to accomplish this? On my OWN platform... not on a Facebook or Oculus or Google predefined platform. I would like to be able to expand this room eventually as well. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

As Tesla ramps up its production for the Model 3, one of its partners is also planning to increase production of electric vehicle batteries halfway around the world. This week, U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock pledged that all British newborns will be able to have their genomes sequenced at birth. The babies don't get much of a say, but mums and dads can opt in. By receiving this genetic information, families could get advanced warning of heightened disease risks and plan for personalized treatment. In the U.S., doctors used Crispr to snip the genes of cancer patients (a first in the country). The technology is quickly advancing: Last month, researchers announced a more precise, flexible version called "prime editing." The new genome-editing tool lets researchers ctrl-alt-delete or ctrl-v DNA with less collateral damage. …

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope is often called a “time machine.” On Tuesday, the $10 billion telescope earned that nickname after NASA released five images of the universe as it appeared ~13.5 billion years ago—or 300 million years after the Big Bang. The pictures deliver the deepest, sharpest, and most telling look yet into how galaxies merge, where stars are formed, the composition of space objects, and much more. Compare and contrast: The Webb is 100 times faster and more powerful than its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope—and that’s because of tech advancements over the past three decades, Stefanie Milam, a deputy project scientist for planetary sci…

In-N-Out was founded in 1948 by Harry Snyder in Baldwin Park, CA. His son Rick took over in 1976 and maintained his family's stance against franchising. The view was that franchising would cause them to lose control of the business philosophy that they had spent so much time refining. Many years ago, he commented about franchising in Forbes: "My feeling is I would be prostituting my parents by doing that. There is money to be made by doing those things, but you lose something, and I don't want to lose what I was raised with all my life."

Terkan: I let my students play this lottery simulator from the LA Times. https://graphics.latimes.com/powerball-simulator/ I had them keep playing with $100 at a time for 5 minutes. Some would win, but they would be even deeper in the hole. you can select bet your paycheck and put in a custom amount. I told them to play with one MILLION dollars, and go to lunch. They came back and they all lost absolutely everything. I let them run it again the next day. Same result. 2 lifetimes of money just… thrown out. Across 15 kids. I hope they got the lesson. You MIGHT win big, and surely you will win a little sometimes, but you are going to lose. …

Thank you. Fantastic video. Proof that God's name is YAHWEH What more proof do you JWs need ? YHWH = YAHWEH. Remember that is from the 15th century B.C. The EARLIEST mention of God's name. Doesn't that contradict the Yehovah idea ? YAHWEH the only True God. Praise be to Yahweh through His son Yeshua.
