A very reputable news channel in India (NDTV) got hold of a cabinet note ahead of the proposed crypto regulation bill. This is a huge concern for Indian citizens. The note also reportedly highlights that citizens will need to declare their crypto assets and keep them on Indian exchanges. They will no longer be allowed to keep crypto on foreign exchanges or in private wallets. If BTC or any other crypto is held on Indian exchanges, how do we invest in NFT's or metaverse? What if exchanges get hacked? It's like creating a monopoly. Exchanges in India have very little liquidity, and they already function in an extremely poor manner. e.g. we cant deposit funds s…

Without doxxing myself, I've been a CPA (specifically, a tax accountant) in the US for about 10 years. Recently at my firm, I've been included in a small group of professionals forming a network of crypto tax consultants and specialists. As I truly love the crypto community, the best contribution to this sub I can think of is to try to 1) put together a few tax tidbits and 2) to answer every tax question that I can in the comments. Reading alot of comments and posts in the sub, I'm a bit concerned that my fellow crypto enthusiasts are going to put themselves at risk of the IRS by not fully understanding the extent of their activities. Now before I start answering, I'll ad…

The term poker staking, or simply staking, refers to the act of putting cash up on behalf of a poker player in the hopes that he or she wins. staking is lending ---------------------- What are the people offering you interest payments doing? They are probably doing something risker to get a return so they can get profit and then give you interest (or you think the interest comes out of nowhere?) Don't be stupid with money. You'll just be making some "smart" person rich: You lend to X. X turns around and lends to Mr. Shorter, for a higher rate. X makes money from your Bitcoins. You take all the risks. X has plenty of his own bitcoins, …

Fun fact: The word "proletariat" comes from the Latin word "proletarius", which means "maker of offspring". In Ancient Rome, the proletarii were the people who were so poor that the only form of property that they had were their children, who could be used as soldiers. Little has changed since then.

(Haʹzor) [Courtyard; Settlement]. In just a few more minutes into this video you will see Archaeologist Eric Cline mention the ruins and invaders of Hazor including Joshua The chief city of northern Canaan at the time of Israel’s conquest under Joshua. (Jos 11:10) Hazor has been identified with Tell el-Qedah (Tel Hazor) located about 11 km (7 mi) SSE of the suggested site of Kedesh. According to archaeologist Yigael Yadin, under whose direction excavations were carried out at the site from 1955 to 1958 and 1968 to 1969, the Hazor of Joshua’s time covered an area of approximately 60 ha (150 acres) and could have accommodated from 25,000 to 30,000 inhabi…

Alta Motors is the Tesla of motorcycles: Race-ready acceleration with energy dense battery packs

California-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, Alta Motors, builds some of the fastest and most advanced, competition-ready electric motorcycles in the world. Founded in 2008 by Marc Fenigstein, Derek Dorresteyn, and Jeff Sand, Alta Motors is arguably the Tesla of motorcycles. The company claims that “mile for mile, there is no smaller, more compact, energy dense battery pack in transportation” than the ones used in the company’s line of all-electric motorcycles, including the Enduro (EX), Motocross (MX), and Supermoto (SM). I sat down with Alta Motors’ CEO on the NextMobility podcast to discuss the company’s current lineup and their upcoming products. …

https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/cboebzx/2021/34-93559.pdf I'm calling BS on this move by the commission. They approve a futures based casino Bitcoin ETF to essentially "print more bitcoin on demand" to disrupt the market when they want.... and then reject a Spot price based Bitcoin ETF to "protect the consumer" from market manipulators? What a clown world we live in.... Politicians need to review the SEC fast.

My lungs are black, my heart is pure My hands are scarred from nights before And my hair is thin and falling out of all the wrong places I am a little insecure My eyes are crossed, but they're still blue I bite my nails and tell the truth I go from thin to overweight, day to day, I fluctuate My skin is ink, but faded, too But she loves me, she loves me Why the hell she love me When she could have anyone else? Oh, you love me, you love me Why the hell do you love me? 'Cause I don't even love myself Baby, the best part of me is you Lately, everything's making sense too Oh, baby, I'm so in love with you I overthink and still forgive…

You may think that I'm talkin' foolish You've heard that I'm wild and I'm free You may wonder how I can promise you now This love that I feel for you always will be But you're not just time that I'm killin' I'm no longer one of those guys As sure as I live, this love that I give Is gonna be yours until the day that I die Oh, baby, I'm gonna love you forever Forever and ever amen As long as old men sit and talk about the weather As long as old women sit and talk about old men If you wonder how long I'll be faithful I'll be happy to tell you again I'm gonna love you forever and ever Forever and ever, amen They say time takes its toll…

This is good for the environment AND will save a few lives in the process. This might not be good news for gold mines somewhere in Nicaragua however. I don't expect this to happen overnight though.

I figured I should at least mention this here, I find it interesting In translation - God fearing brothers and sisters. Has any one of you, living in the East Coast notice anything odd last night? Some odd colored green light in the sky that was bright, possibly a meteor. Possibly the rarest time I seen this guy not being dramatic and poetic. He was referring to something associated with this story. That being said, I am already debating some people in regards to it, for an obvious reason. https://www.wsls.com/weather/2021/11/11/wow-bright-green-fireball-lights-up-the-night-sky-in-southwest-virginia/

In his testimony to the US Senate last spring, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasized that his company doesn’t sell user data, as if to reassure policymakers and the public. But the reality—that Facebook, Google, Twitter, and other social media companies sell access to our attention—is just as concerning. Actual user information may not change hands, but the advertising business model drives company decision making in ways that are ultimately toxic to society. As sociologist Zeynep Tufekci put it in her 2017 TED talk, “we’re building a dystopia just to make people click on ads.” ... Google and Facebook figured out how to commodify "reality" itself by tracking w…

Bitcoin has now closed its third red monthly candle in a row, meaning BTC/USD is now the furthest away from its stock-to-flow model estimates in more than two years. Data shows the world’s biggest cryptocurrency fell 40.36% in Q2… the biggest quarterly plunge in over three years. Plan B said the next six months will be “make or break” for the stock-to-flow model, adding: “Even for me it is always a bit uneasy when Bitcoin price is at the lower bound of the stock-to-flow model.”

Bitcoin.org has blocked U.K. visitors from downloading Bitcoin Core software, as well as the whitepaper authored by Satoshi Nakamoto. It comes days after a British court ruled in favor of self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright. He had accused Bitcoin.org and its current operator Cøbra of copyright infringement for hosting the BTC whitepaper in the U.K. Cøbra elected not to mount a defense in order to protect their anonymity — and was also ordered to pay interim legal costs of £35,000 (about $48,600.) The judgment is the latest salvo in Wright’s assault on people who dispute his claim of being Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
