Gods Fingerprint→ The Fibonacci Sequence - Golden Ratio and The Fractal Nature of Reality"Fibonacci numbers are of interest to biologists and physicists because they are frequently observed in various natural objects and phenomena. The branching patterns in trees and leaves, for example, and the distribution of seeds in a raspberry are based on Fibonacci numbers.A Sanskrit grammarian, Pingala, is credited with the first mention of the sequence of numbers, sometime between the fifth century B.C. and the second or third century A.D. Since Fibonacci introduced the series to Western civilization, it has had a high profile from time to time. Recently, in The Da Vinci Code , fo…

With Model 3 production set to kick off today, devout Tesla fans got a rare glimpse on Instagram at a space-aged production line in the company’s Fremont factory. The photos feature what appear to be what CEO Elon Musk has referred to as “alien dreadnaught” for assembly peeking out from under canvas tarps. The photos appeared on Instagram after an attendee of Tesla’s most recent invite-only “VIP Factory Tour” managed to snap a quick shot of the Model 3 production line. The robots are noted for their range of flexible abilities that include switching adapters and moving across multiple axes, a needed departure from the traditional stamp-and-repeat robots used b…

It is already known that Elon Musk is a big name in the tech world, but he has another, equally rabid fanbase: millennials. Forbes contributor Deep Patel poses the following question: “We’ve all seen people in the past get famous by throwing millions of dollars at publicity and marketing, but that’s not Musk’s approach. His success is organic, which begs the questions: how did he get here and why do people, especially millennials, believe in him so much?” Patel lays out the reasons why it’s easy for Musk to appeal to the younger generation, namely, Musk’s eye for the future, a desire for the common good and playing off emotions. In terms of the future, Musk…

Elon Musk joined a doomsday discussion yesterday saying Earth’s population problems could push us to our ultimate demise. Theorists have long pontificated on the possibility of a global meltdown that would stem from environmental impact, food shortages or even human violence. Regardless of the reason, Musk has made it his own personal goal to find sustainable options for future human existence. His companies Tesla and SpaceX, and their mission to provide an optimistic future for energy consumptions and human-beings, reflect that. Musk’s latest tweet is not out of character — the space-age CEO has been known to talk at length about Earth’s bleak fu…

Need to type up a quick memo before work? Forgot to eat breakfast before driving to school? In just a few years, driving may be a more hands-off endeavor than ever before if companies like Tesla, Uber, Volvo, Alphabet, General Motors, or Ford have anything to do about it. You could be a passenger in your own self-driving car, weaving in and out of traffic with ease and parallel parking like a pro every time. It seems like most every company even tangentially related to cars is pouring money into the race for autonomy. The freedom of self-driving cars is still heavily dependent on regulatory whim and technological availability, but some are setting demanding goals in …

Tesla has secured a contract to install the world’s largest lithium-ion battery storage system in South Australia. Premier Jay Weatherill has announced an agreement between the State Government and California-based Tesla to install a 100-megawatt (129 megawatt hour) Powerpack system to be paired with a wind farm by global renewable energy provider Neoen’s Hornsdale. The battery system will operate continuously and charge using renewable energy from the wind farm, and ultimately serve as back-up power in the event of energy instability from local utilities. “Tesla Powerpack will charge using renewable energy from the Hornsdale Wind Farm and then deliver electricity du…

Gene Munster, Loup Ventures cofounder, has equated the Model 3’s potential impact on the automotive industry to the iPhone’s effect on technology. He said the Model 3 will “advance us to a new paradigm in transportation, car ownership, ride hailing, city development and energy usage,” according to TheStreet. Munster also went as far as to compare Tesla to Amazon in an interview with CNBC, saying the core mission of Tesla will drive it through the current turbulence. He cited how skeptics underestimated Amazon when it was a mere book website, missing the grand vision of the company that allowed it and Jeff Bezos to become major players in the tech and sales indu…

France may be saying au revoir to the traditional internal combustion engine, as the country has announced that it will ban all gasoline and diesel vehicles by 2040, according to the Telegraph. The announcement came during a press conference with Environment Minister Nicolas Hulot, and is largely reflective of President Emmanuel Macron’s commitment to make France a leader in reducing the globe’s carbon footprint — a stance he so eloquently referred as an effort to “make the planet great again.” The French will offer its citizens financial incentives as a way to encourage the movement away from fossil fuel cars and toward clean energy. “The solutions are …
