Another change in Safari 15 doesn’t affect functionality, but appearance. Safari 15 automatically changes the background color of the tab bar, depending on the background color of the website, or based on a color defined in the website’s HTML code via a meta tag. If you don’t want that, open the Safari settings and deactivate the “Show color in tab bar” option under “Advanced”.

The destruction of American workers marches on. Very unfair… they’ve been through without vaccine, and now they can be fired…

We have evidently raised an entire generation of quasi "professionals" in the US who have no regard for the US Constitution, rights, rule of law or even a sense of propriety.

When Mike learned that the 81-year old civil rights activist had been robbed and beaten in her Detroit home in 1994, he wanted to move her to a safer apartment, so he established a trust to cover her rent. Regarding the guy that robbed and beat her: According to news articles, he didn't know it was her house at first. He just wanted to rob an elderly woman. Then he recognized her, confirmed it was her, and then beat and robbed her anyway. And what makes it even better... This fact was found out after his death. Rosa Parks died in 2005, and news of this was not made public til after the death of Mike Ilitch in 2014. There was no adver…

Marcy Borders (July 19, 1973 – August 24, 2015) was an American legal assistant who worked at the Bank of America located in the World Trade Center and survived its collapse (WTC1, WTC2, WTC7), following the al-Qaeda attacks on September 11, 2001. Stan Honda, a photographer for Agence France Presse, captured an image of Borders, completely covered in dust from the building collapse, that subsequently became widely described as "iconic". The image became so well known and so widely distributed, that Borders became known as "The Dust Lady". A resident of Bayonne, New Jersey, the 28-year-old Borders was working on the 81st floor inside of the North Tower at the tim…

"The expansive rules mandate that all employers with more than 100 workers require them to be vaccinated or test for the virus weekly, affecting about 80 million Americans. And the roughly 17 million workers at health facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid also will have to be fully vaccinated. Biden is also signing an executive order to require vaccination for employees of the executive branch and contractors who do business with the federal government — with no option to test out. That covers several million more workers." https://apnews.com/article/18fb12993f05be13bf760946a6fb89be

It's named after the astronomer Charles Stephenson: Stephenson 2-18 is a member of the open cluster Stephenson 2, which occupies an area of 1.8’ of the sky but is not visible in amateur telescopes. The cluster cannot be detected in visible light at all because it is heavily obscured by dust, but it can be seen in infrared light. It lies in the region of the sky between Alpha and Beta Scuti. The open cluster Stephenson 2 is one of the most massive open clusters in the Milky Way. It was first noticed by American astronomer Charles Bruce Stephenson, who reported the discovery in June 1990. Stephenson 2-18 (St2-18, also known as Stephenson 2-18 and RSGC2-1…

“Wal-Mart Stores Inc.” (-0.57%) will soon be called just “Walmart Inc.” Wait, that wasn’t the name the entire time? Apparently not. The decision to drop “Stores” from its brand goes hand-in-hand with Walmart’s swan-dive into e-commerce. As CEO Doug McMillon puts it, “[we must follow] our growing presence as a retailer, serving customers no matter how they choose to shop.” And it’s been a pretty, pretty big shift to say the least. We’re talking acquisitions of e-tailer Jet.com for $3 billion and Bonobos for $310 million, two-day delivery, and a slowdown from opening hundreds of stores each year to just a dozen. So far it’s paid off. E-commerce sa…
