Footage from the surveillance video shows the pedestrian crossing the road while the garbage truck just arrived intersection. Out of nowhere, the blue dump truck comes into the picture after making a U-turn. The back end of the dump truck just misses the pedestrian, but it crashes into the driver's side of the garbage truck. The dump truck then flees the scene of the accident. While the pedestrian escaped the accident unscathed, the driver of the garbage truck suffered a head injury as a result of the crash. According to the police, the slippery road may have been the cause of the accident.

http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102003690 Hundreds of little fish perhaps from the spray of Lake Dojran or Lake Korónia were found in the village of Koróna, reported the Greek newspaper Eleftherotypia. “Everywhere the villagers found fish that had fallen from the sky.” According to Christos Balafoutis, director of the meteorological department in Thessalonica, such incidents are not rare. Storm clouds in low-pressure weather systems produce whirlwinds that suck up water, along with fish and frogs, from the surface of lakes. “The air in the whirlwind can lift them up to a high altitude and carry them very far,” says the report. Later the fish fall when the force of…

QUITO, Ecuador --A powerful, 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook Ecuador's central coast on Saturday, cracking buildings and rattling homes as far away as the capital of Quito. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered 16 miles south-southeast of Muisne, Ecuador, in a sparsely populated area of fishing ports popular with tourists. It had a depth of 12 miles.
