He reads His law in an undertone day and night.—Ps. 1:2. To keep our faith strong, Jehovah has kindly provided us with his complete Word, the Bible. To be “happy” and to “succeed,” we must regularly read GodÂ’s Word, daily if possible. (Ps. 1:1-3; Acts 17:11) Then, like pre-Christian worshippers of Jehovah, we need to keep meditating on GodÂ’s promises and be obedient to his requirements. Jehovah has also blessed us with an abundant supply of spiritual food provided through “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matt. 24:45) Thus, by cherishing what we learn from the spiritual provisions that Jehovah has made available, we will be like the ancient examples of fait…

By Michelle Gallardo Sunday, July 15, 2018 08:39PM CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 59-year-old woman was killed in an attempted carjacking in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood Sunday morning, Chicago police said. The 59-year-old woman was in a vehicle with a 70-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man in the 900-block of North Kedvale when police said a man approached the driver's side of the vehicle at about 7:15 a.m., police said. No one was in custody Sunday evening. The elderly couple was picking up a friend to go to a Jehovah's Witnesses convention in southwest suburban Romeoville. The victim was shot just moments after getting into the vehicle. The drive…

Who makes you different from another?—1 Cor. 4:7. For a while, the apostle Peter harbored prejudice against non-Jews, but he gradually learned to eradicate negative views from his heart. (Acts 10:28, 34, 35; Gal. 2:11-14) Likewise, if we detect any trace of prejudice or racial pride in us, we should make a conscious effort to root it out of our heart. (1 Pet. 1:22) We might reflect on the fact that none of us deserve salvation; we are all imperfect humans, regardless of our nationality. (Rom. 3:9, 10, 21-24) So why should we feel superior to anyone else? We should have a view like that of the apostle Paul, who admonished his fellow anointed Christians that they were …

One thing that has always puzzled me is this: what happened to the spirit creature Michael when Jesus was conceived/born as a human? We are told that Jehovah transferred Michael's life pattern into Jesus in much the same way as God will do for those who are resurrected. This would mean that when Jesus was alive on earth there was no Michael in heaven. As we do not believe that humans have a spirit, in the accepted sense of the word, the question remains, what happened to Michael during Jesus earthly presence?

The trick will be, through social media and the like, to make this the beating known around the world. It won't be easy, because atrocities are a dime a dozen today. Countermanding this is the fact that everyone knows Jehovah's Witnesses have done nothing deserving of this. There will be none of: 'Well, he must have done something wrong.' Everyone knows he did not. You can be sure that those doing these things would like to do it in secret. Do not let them. Â Â

Men spoke from God as they were moved by holy spirit.—2 Pet. 1:21. Some have chosen study projects that involved studying Bible prophecy or the BibleÂ’s historical, archaeological, and scientific accuracy. One fascinating prophecy to consider is Genesis 3:15. That verse introduces the BibleÂ’s primary theme, which is the vindication of GodÂ’s sovereignty and the sanctification of his name by means of the Kingdom. That one verse, using figurative language, sets out how Jehovah will solve all the suffering that humans have experienced since Eden. How might you study Genesis 3:15? One way would be to prepare a time line. It could list key scriptures that show how God bi…

/EINPresswire.com/ Bobby Martin is the Grammy Award winning R&B producer that dominated the airwaves for nearly three decades with his signature sound. He is a legend in the music industry, and he is well known around the world. MartinÂ’s fellow JehovahÂ’s Witness brothers and sisters often refer to him as Brother Martin. In addition to being a Grammy Winner, he is famous and respected as The Granddaddy of R&B music. His signature sound was called R&B, and in the 1970Â’s it was known as The Sound of Philadelphia. As far as Bobby Martin is concerned, younger R&B artists often sample and produce remakes of his songs. A good example of this is the song “Da…

A childhood friend of my son died the other day and he is not the first one. This system has not been easy on the younger generation, though it is easier on them than it is on the younger generation still, some of whom have hung themselves and streamed it live on Facebook. It’s a little hard for adults to reassure their children that all is right with the world when they see their classmate on the internet doing that, even though some apostates who have gone atheist try to let on that the world is just getting better and better. Anyhow, he had strayed far from his Bible roots, though I did remark that I hope when I die I have as many people saying what a good guy I…

Which Pill Would We Take ..... The Red Pill? .... or the Blue Pill? In the political world, more and more people are rejecting "Fake News" as provided by CNN (Clinton News Network), ABC (All 'bout Clinton) and NBC (Nothin' but Clinton), etc., and are seeking the truth about what they are being told ..... wherever it may be found. Today John Stossel had an article about this on Foxnews which is incredibly important ... not only for the political ramifications ... but every manner of philosophical thought .... and our very view of how the Universe works, and what "makes it tick". If you have seen the movie "The Matrix" .... a MUST SEE movie .... you already…

And it's only Jehovah who ever destroys people. No one ever tells the story about King Herod "destroying" all the newborns, or Pharaoh ordering the "destruction" of all the newborn male Israelites.

New World Translation Isaiah 45:23 "By myself I have sworn; The word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, And it will not return:+ To me every knee will bend, Every tongue will swear loyalty Philippians 2:10 "so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground 2 Corinthians 13:14 "The undeserved kindness of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the sharing in the holy spirit be with all of you." (Interlinear says: "fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all you.") Interlinear John 1:1 "In beginning was the Word and the Word was with - God and God was the Word) It doesn'…

"In one city that I visited, it was thought that 1 Peter 2:17, which says to ‘have love for the whole association of brothers,’ meant that sisters were available to any brother in the congregation. If a sister became pregnant by a brother other than her husband, the husband accepted the child as his own. As in the first century, ‘the untaught and unsteady’ were twisting the Scriptures." - 2004 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses. Kinshasa section

Do all things for God’s glory.—1 Cor. 10:31. “You saw a lot of casual clothing, especially when it was hot,” reported a Dutch newspaper regarding a meeting of church leaders. “That is not the case at the convention of JehovahÂ’s Witnesses.” Indeed, JehovahÂ’s Witnesses are often commended for adorning “themselves in respectable dress, with modesty and good judgment . . . in the way that is proper for [those] professing devotion to God.” (1 Tim. 2:9, 10, ftn.) The apostle Paul was speaking about women, but the same basic standard applies to Christian men. Appropriate standards of dress are important to us as JehovahÂ’s people, and they are important to the God …
