The Greek-speaking Jews began complaining against the Hebrew-speaking Jews.—Acts 6:1. As the early Christian congregation grew, a situation that apparently involved discrimination arose. Greek-speaking Jews complained that their widows were not being treated fairly. To settle this issue, the apostles appointed seven men to make sure that nobody was neglected. These men all had Greek names, which seems to indicate that the apostles wanted to ease any tensions over background that might have existed among the early Christians. (Acts 6:2-6) Whether we realize it or not, we are all deeply influenced by our culture. (Rom. 12:2) Moreover, we likely hear neighbors, fellow w…

[God’s] invisible qualities are clearly seen . . . They are perceived by the things made.—Rom. 1:20. “To perceive” means to recognize something that may not be immediately visible or obvious. (Heb. 11:3) Perceptive people, therefore, use their mind, not just their eyes and ears. JehovahÂ’s organization has supplied many well-researched aids to help us. These can enable us ‘to seeÂ’ our Creator through our eyes of faith. (Heb. 11:27) These aids include the video The Wonders of Creation Reveal GodÂ’s Glory, the brochures Was Life Created? and The Origin of Life—Five Questions Worth Asking, and the book Is There a Creator Who Cares About You? Awake! has often prese…

Three-day convention expected to draw around 3,500 people from around the region Thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be in Barrie for their annual summer convention this weekend. Dozens of volunteers were busy on Thursday preparing the Barrie Molson Centre for this weekendÂ’s three-day gathering. From those building the stage and assembling video screens to crews cleaning the arena top to bottom to make it spick and span, it was a hive of activity. The convention will draw people from several towns in the area, from Collingwood to Shelburne, Barrie to Aurora and north up to Bracebridge. A similar gathering was held in Barrie in 2016 and had 3,700 peo…

The following comment has been quoted on this forum, at least partially. Attached also is another report of Geoffrey JacksonÂ’s statement made in France.  Here is the individualÂ’s comment, unedited: “This weekend in France there was the inauguration of a new Convention Hall. Since it was some "never before seen project" (because done by 3 countries together : France, Switzerland and Italy... wow what an achievement!) they had to do something special. So they Had Geoffrey Jackson giving talks and those being streamed to a lot of congregations. Lots of rank file were invited to the Convention Hall, the rest got to see it over TV. The weekend meeting was can…

TV NEWS REPORT - WGAL News 8 - child sex abuse claims at the.mp4 For context, this congregation is one over from the Red Lion Congregation. Both Congregations were mentioned in the Philadelphia Inquirer article. People go back and forth between the two like the wind. It's absurd that police weren't called on these levels of abuse going on. And that's just (2) incidents that are being covered in the local news.

Over 7,100 brothers and sisters from throughout the country participated in the campaign. Many of them came from the cities of Busan, Gwangju, Incheon, Seoul, and Suwon; some even came from as far away as Jeju Island, a popular tourist destination located over 300 miles south of Pyeongchang. Our brothers set up 152 public witnessing carts in 48 locations, including the Gangneung Olympic Park and the Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza. They were also permitted to display some of their publications at the entrance to one of the Olympic Village religious centers. When I wish to do what is right, what is bad is present with me.—Rom. 7:21. Paul had full confidence that he could win his internal battle by prayerfully relying on Jehovah and exercising faith in JesusÂ’ ransom sacrifice. What about us? As we struggle against giving in to our own fleshly weaknesses, we can succeed. How? By imitating Paul, by fully relying on Jehovah and not on our own strength, and by having faith in the ransom. There are times when God may allow us to demonstrate the depth of our concern about a matter. For instance, what if we (or a family member) were stricken by a serious illness or we were faced with some injustice? We would show our full trust…

No more worldly goatee and tattoos showing and his posture is more godlike. The worldly font on his T-shirt is gone. Her fingernails are not worldly pointy ones and long but are now godly french tipped. She is also in a more submissive posture toward him rather than a "sassy" worldy pose. Agape!
