Song 88 - "Children Are a Trust From God" - SING TO JEHOVAH ? ? ? ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwxVySu7eEc&feature=related (Psalm 127:3-5) 1. When a man becomes a father And a woman has a child of her own, They share a trust, they must remember, That is not theirs, not theirs alone. The gift they share is from Jehovah; Of life and love he is the one true Source. To parents he gives sure direction That they may follow the wisest course. (Chorus)  2. All the words God has commanded— They must always prove to be on your heart. These words youÂ’ll speak to sons and daughters; …

The world looks a lot different through the eyes of little children. And according to a recent study in Imagination, Cognition, and Personality, the idea of aging might look different too. A good number of children aged three to five seemed to think that birthday parties were responsible for making people grow older. According to those kids, if a person doesnÂ’t have a birthday party, they stay the same age. Developmental psychologist Jacqueline Woolley and her team at the University of Texas, Austin, compiled two studies in which they tested childrenÂ’s understanding of aging by telling them stories. In the first study, the researchers told 99 American children…

"The angel who had been speaking with me came back and woke me up, as when waking someone from sleep. 2  Then he said to me: “What do you see?” So I said: “I see, and look! a lampstand entirely of gold,+ with a bowl on top of it. There are seven lamps on it,+ yes, seven, and the lamps, which are at the top of it, have seven pipes. 3  And next to it are two olive trees,+ one on the right of the bowl and one on the left.” - Zechariah 4:1-3 Will we recognize the "two olive trees" when they begin to preach?  It was inevitable that Zaccaria's study would lead us to the focal point of Revelation. Revelation 11: 3, 4 says, "And I will prophesy my t…

“When you see a cloud rising in the west, at once you say, ‘A storm is coming,Â’ and it happens. And when you see that a south wind is blowing, you say, ‘There will be a heat wave,Â’ and it occurs. Hypocrites, you know how to examine the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to examine this particular time?” - Luke 12:54-56 The following article will cover part of the Watch Tower of October 2017. The article is titled "The visions of Zechariah: why do they concern us?" A vision does not include something more than a command or a need?  From the beginning we can concentrate on the questions reported in the first paragra…

This is veering off the 1975 discussion, but I never suggested God places higher value on certain individuals because of status. That's contrary to everything he stands for. I am suggesting that humans have placed higher importance on themselves. You said that there isn't a hierarchy in the organization, and that's not true. The R&F phrase is used by the organization to describe publishers at the bottom of the organizational pyramid. It isn't used to describe those at the top. And JWs at the bottom of the pyramid have no right to question the direction of those at the top, because they do not have the special capacity to interpret the Bible for themselves. JWs re…

WHY PRAY FOR OTHERS? ~ ?????? We undoubtedly pray for ourselves, but our prayers ought to include others—even Christians we do not know by name. Though the apostle Paul may not have known all the believers in Colossae, he wrote: “We thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ always when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in connection with Christ Jesus and the love you have for all the holy ones.” Prayers of that kind say much about us and how we view our brothers and sisters in the faith. Praying for others may change our attitude toward them. If we are not particularly fond of a person but we pray for him, how can we be unloving towar…
