Instructions For Merging Congregations S-67-E 9/17 It appears this replaces Instructions for Dissolving Congregations S-67a-E 11/11. "Merging" sounds so much better than "dissolving".

You must pray . . . this way.—Matt. 6:9. The expression “our Father,” not “my Father,” reminds us that we belong to an “association of brothers” who truly love one another. (1 Pet. 2:17) What a precious privilege that is! Anointed Christians, who have been begotten as God’s sons with heavenly life in view, rightly address Jehovah as “Father” in the fullest sense. (Rom. 8:15-17) Christians whose hope is to live forever on earth can also address Jehovah as “Father.” He is their Life-Giver, and he lovingly provides for the needs of all true worshippers. Those with this earthly hope will in the fullest sense become God’s children after they have reached perfection and ha…

One man was there who had been sick for 38 years.—John 5:5. Just north of the temple at Jerusalem was a pool known as Bethzatha. Large crowds of sick and infirm people would gather there, hoping that they would be miraculously cured. Moved with pity, Jesus approached a man who had been sick longer than Jesus had been alive on earth. (John 5:6-9) Jesus inquired if he wanted to get well. The response was immediate. The man wanted to be healed but he could not see how, for he had no one to help him into the pool. Jesus then commanded the man to do the impossible—to pick up his mat and walk. Taking Jesus at his word, the man picked up his mat and began to walk. What a he…

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up.—Prov. 12:25. Uncontrolled anxious thoughts can cause us physical and spiritual harm. Let us trust in Jehovah and remember the words of today’s text. Good words of encouragement from someone who understands us can make our heart rejoice. Confiding in our parents, our spouse, or a trusted friend who views things from God’s standpoint may help to relieve our anxiety. No one understands our anxiety better than Jehovah does. “Do not be anxious over anything,” wrote Paul, “but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God …

"I have made your name known."—John 17:26. - ??????? Jesus wanted his followers to work together unitedly so that they could bring honor to God’s name. So, what did Jesus do? He asked for his Father’s help in the most beautiful prayer that any human will ever have the honor to read. (See opening picture.) This prayer is recorded at John 17:1-26. As we examine this prayer, let us think about these questions: “Has God answered Jesus’ prayer? Am I acting in harmony with it?” ??????? Jesus taught his disciples many wonderful things until late at night. Then he looked up to heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your son, that your son may …

At Warwick there is a gazebo overlooking the lake. It's a nice peaceful setting. Well someone had the bright idea they were going to propose while they were at Warwick. They see this Gazebo and walk out to. He proposes to her and they take some nice pictures there of each other to remember their engagement. Well, a few minutes later Bethels version of the secret service comes running down the hill. A bunch of these guys tell them that they can't be there, this is for the GB use only. They meet there on Wednesdays when it's nice out instead of meeting in their office. It gets even crazier! They made them delete all the photos they took at this location. They gave…

"Your arrows . . . pierce the hearts of the king’s enemies."—Ps. 45:5. ????????? Hail Christ, the Glorious King! “In your splendor go on to victory.”—PSALM 45:4. Read Psalm 45:6, 7. Because Jesus deeply loves what is right and hates anything that could dishonor his Father, Jehovah anointed him as King of the Messianic Kingdom. Jesus was anointed with “the oil of exultation” more than his “companions,” the kings of Judah who were also descendants of David. In what ways? First of all, Jesus was anointed by Jehovah himself. Second, Jehovah anointed Jesus to rule as King and also serve as High Priest. (Psalm 2:2;Hebrews 5:5, 6) Third, Jesus was not anointe…

I know you’re extremely busy but while I have your attention, I was curious if you could share this photo of this brother? He has had one of the toughest lives satan could throw on a person in this wicked system. His latest struggle is battling against brain cancer again. ? But despite his past and continuing hardship, he is by far the HAPPIEST and sweetest brother you will ever see!!! He often posts updates of his life, but there is NEVER a single word of negativity or complaint. If you could share this photo of @happy_hands_bruce_ and let the encouraging words of the friends prove the scripture Proverbs 17:17 true. We’ve only known him and his wife f…

He will crush your head, and you will strike him in the heel.—Gen. 3:15. Abel likely gave much thought to that promise and realized that someone would be ‘struck in the heel’ so that mankind could be lifted to perfection such as that enjoyed by Adam and Eve before they sinned. Abel had faith based on God’s promise, and Jehovah therefore accepted his sacrifice. (Gen. 4:3-5; Heb. 11:4) Noah survived the Deluge because of his faith. (Heb. 11:7) After the Flood, he was moved by faith to offer animal sacrifices. (Gen. 8:20) Like Abel, he undoubtedly had faith that mankind would eventually be released from bondage to sin and death. As he entered the dark post-Flood era dur…

ARE THEY PREPARING FOR THE THIRD WORLD WAR? The United States has just taken a unique step in the history of humanity by launching this afternoon the mother of all bombs on Afghanistan. It is not a nuclear bomb, but it is a step to show that you can survive a nuclear war. For the first time in history, the United States has used the GBU-43 Massive Ordinance Air Blast (MOAB) bomb, a gigantic projectile weighing 10 tons, designed to destroy cave complexes and underground tunnels. The United States had lost years of world influence, being surpassed by Russia and China militarily and economically. The biblical King of the South was no longer the empire of year…

Nice illustration at our Quichua Regional 2017 Convention in Riobamba, Ecuador. ??? This is called a 'Chumbi' and is used to spin yarn with the fingers. One hand holds the bulk wool from the sheep and the other hand spins yarn with the fingers and rolls it up on the little spool. The older women always carry this device wherever they go, tending sheep, walking miles to milk their cows or going down dirt roads to weekly markets. They are always prepared! ??? The lesson? For informal witnessing we needs our tools with us and we need to be actively working them whenever we are away from our home and wherever we go! Thank you @ecua_gringo・・・

Are You Looking at Worthless Things? - Why Our Life is Involved and Why We Should Avoid Them! - This is No Cute Joke! ??????? (Psalm 119:37) Make my eyes pass on from seeing what is worthless; Preserve me alive in your own way." Worthless Things to Avoid In todayÂ’s world, it has become increasingly common to ‘keep on lookingÂ’ at pornography, particularly on the Internet. We do not have to look for such sites—they look for us! In what way? An ad with an enticing picture may suddenly appear on oneÂ’s computer screen. ??????? Or an innocuous-looking e-mail, once opened, may explode into a pornographic picture designed in such a way as to mak…
