I was answering C.C. about 'When did God actually speak to the people" And of course we need to go to scripture for answers, but what i found raised a couple of questions. You start off with scriptural points about Jesus' death being a complete death (which I fully believe also) But unfortunately you end up with 'mudslinging'. That is why i laugh, because you ruin you comments with bitterness. JWs should surely not do this ? Didn't Jesus say to Love your enemies ? I thought i should make it known that I am under threat of being disfellowshipped from this forum. So if i disappear without trace, i will not have left, but i will have been removed by the Librarian or other admin'. Paul speaks of the rebellion of the Levites against Moses and Aaron. So it is a struggle for supremacy within the hierarchy. With this example, Paul speaks to the Corinthians who rebel against the counsel and teachings that Paul taught the congregation in Corinth. I think it is safe to say that people in general, gather inanimate objects to help them remember the places they have visited. It is not unusual for us to collect a rock or a piece of wood discovered in a natural setting, to remind us of our visit. I have a pile of rocks to prove it. A Norwegian JW woman, who was sexually abused, was disfellowshipped for fornication. The woman first appealed inside the organization - without success. Feeling injustice, she then decided to sue Jehovah's Witnesses. The court decided last month that the disfellowshipping was against the Norwegian law and must be canceled. I would just like to express thanks to all of you and the mgmt for making this the #1 jw forum on the internet. I feel the most freedom of expression on here and a good mix of usually respectful and knowledgeable people. It helps me keep up to date with what is going on since Facebook has pretty much muzzled and censored many of the JW's and JW groups that used to exist.
