THE mum of brain cancer survivor Ashya King is stuck in locked-down Spain after splitting from her Jehovah’s Witness husband. Naghmeh and Brett King sparked a 2014 manhunt after taking their son, then five, out of a UK hospital against doctors’ advice. They could not get proton therapy on the NHS and were arrested after fleeing to Malaga. The couple, both practising Jehovahs at the time, were briefly jailed. Ashya, ten, has now made an “amazing” recovery. But Naghmeh, 50, has revealed she left Brett, 56, and their seven kids in Milton Keynes, Bucks, and headed to their holiday home days before the travel ban was enforced last month. And she s…

In the morning of April 29, 2020, groups of armed security forces invaded at least seven homes of residents of Pavlovskaya and Kholmskaya villages for searches and interrogations, exposing believers to the risk of infection during the pandemic. A 62-year-old believer was taken to Krasnodar for interrogation, and a written recognizance not to leave the place was taken. Illustrative photo https://www.jw-russia.org/en/news/2020/05/1.html

There has been considerable criticism on the latest GB member’s second update about the pandemic. Some good observations have been made, but one thing I noticed was his deceptive use of scripture. Briefly, he gave assurance of the “love” and “prayers” that the GB has for all JWs enduring all issues of the pandemic. But, the bulk of his message was about the elder body’s concerted effort to learn new avenues providing online “spiritual food” for all. He stated that through his organization, “Jehovah provided the direction they needed”. (Isa 46:5-7; Rom 1:25; 1 Pet 1:18,19; Rev 13:4,8) I can’t see this as such an insurmountable problem that perhaps other organizations…

Montana sees flurry of child sex abuse lawsuits as deadline approaches The one-year window Montana lawmakers opened to give child sex abuse survivors a chance to bring old claims is closing soon, and a flurry of lawsuits is hitting the courts. Adults who were abused as children have until May 6 to bring claims otherwise barred by the statute of limitations. The Montana Legislature created the window in 2019, prompted by news of a lawsuit against James “Doc” Jensen, a Miles City high school athletic trainer who abused dozens of boys while working with the district between the 1970s and 1990s. After May 6, various restr…

"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matt 10:8 The message in this video fits the governing leaders in the organization, like a glove. Please read the WT quote in the description under the video. Notice how the organization’s practice of hypocrisy, has come back to bite them. Amos 5:18-27 WT 2/1/1990, pg 25: "19 The worldliness of some clergy has even been exposed in the media in recent times, as for example the licentious and luxurious life-styles of some TV clergymen. One modern songwriter composed a song with the title: “Would Jesus Wear a [$10,000] Rolex [watch] on His Tel…

Have you heard that there are thousands of aircrafts parked and idle worldwide? I believe this is from Jehovah God. He has steared the situation so that we soon can all together fly to a wilderness. The aircrafts are just waiting for us. In addition the fuel has gone insanely cheep. So it should not be expensive to fly there. Have you noticed that Revelation 12 says that the woman gets two great wings of an eagle to fly to her place in the wilderness? That must refer to aircrafts. Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God and where they would feed her for 1,260 days. 13 Now when the dragon saw that it h…

When to begin the countdown of the 2300 days? To get an idea, it could be helpful to discern when those days end relative to time times and half a time. I see a possibility that the 2300 days end the same day as the 1260 days. That is because the woman in Revelation 12 will be fed 1260 days. Why not more? Probably because what she represents, does not need more feeding in that particular sense. She will be fed and brought to a complete spiritual condition. This woman represents God's congregation on earth. That is another topic to examine, but let's find out the possible dates. Let's compare the scriptures related to this: Revelation 12…

"Morning worship announcement at Bethel. In the United States, 9,000 of our brothers have contracted the Corona Virus, 2,500 have recovered, 563 are hospitalized and unfortunately 219 have fallen asleep to death. This was mentioned April 14, 2020 in the morning worship in New York's bethel. It was asked that this be shared with the brothers so that we continue to pray for the entire association of brothers and understand the reason that the governing body has taken the measures that have been taken so far. Cheers!" By the way I am just quoting someone. This info is not from me personally.

I have noticed many friends seem to be stressing about the acquisition of the memorial symbols during the coronavirus lockdown. There have been quite a few discussions on social media and in person. These discussions were mainly regarding the necessity for memorial symbols if such became troublesome to purchase and if no one in the household was a partaker. The elders sent out information, one of which was the 85 WT 2/1/ p. 31 "question from readers" ( https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1985128 )which says in part: "On occasion, raging storms or floods have prevented a congregation, or some of its members, from meeting together as planned. In rare cases, marti…

Copied as found. Don't know how true this is. APRIL 10, 2020 On Wednesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a statement regarding an experimental treatment for COVID-19. It involved “convalescent plasma” collected from people who have recovered from the disease. The FDA said that, while the treatment had not been approved (since experimental data was virtually non-existent), there were a few places where scientists or doctors could use it, including in patients with “serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections.” The thinking is that there are antibodies present in the plasma of recovere…

A newspaper of Angola published praising Jehovah's Witnesses on prevention measures against coronavirus (Covid-19).. Tom, I guess you are hoping to get very old or live through Armageddon. I am sick a second time. I had these symptoms 6 weeks ago and got over it....... but it came back today.... lol. I worked with tourists...... I remain in quaranteen and doctor myself. I will never go to a hospital. This world-wide lockdown reminds me of the 66CE lockdown in Jerusalem....... I believe we are on our way to that situation we have been waiting for! After this the money system will be digital and all governance controlling..... central policies by UN....... maybe after our JW message a second lockdown? Like 70CE?

It must really confound those who accuse the JW organization of being a cult that few people are behaving better these days, or more reasonably, with more of an eye toward the public good. That #CultExpert tweets about how Jehovah’s Witnesses manipulate people, and I reply that their followers put his to shame for vanquishing COVID. Jehovah’s Witnesses immediately transferred all gatherings to Zoom and issued strong counsel to observe government-recommended social distancing—which our people will observe because they strive to be obedient. But his followers? Some will observe social distancing, no doubt—probably even most, but is his mission statement ‘Freedom of Mind’ re…

In the age of this Corona contagion, the term "social distance" emerged. In recommending how to protect their health against this virus, health care providers have introduced some measures regarding the behavior of people in their interactions with each other. One of them is famous "social distance". What does it mean first of all to have "social distance" in this Corona context? This means that the physical distance between persons must not be less than 1 meter, or 2 meters or similar. This is actually about physical distance, not social distance. Because, no one forbade people to talk and exchange thoughts. By any means, directly or virtually, using technology. …

Gibraltar Chronicle Coronavirus is not the end of the world’By Manolo 20th April 2020 By Manolo Gatt Jehovah’s Witnesses all around the world have reacted quickly to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Since the initial stages of this, now pandemic, rigorous measures have been taken including the suspension of all public religious activity including large assemblies as well as local meetings usually held in Kingdom Halls. Locally, working very closely with the Civilian Contingencies Committee, we have implemented all recommended measures as and when required including the suspension of our main activity of going from hou…

When the U.S. Supreme Court ruled (1940) that children MUST salute WHEN told to do so, with NO excuses, the phrase “freedom of the human mind” was used to defend the minority, Jehovah’s Witnesses. The words were employed in the minority opinion. Today, the phrase “freedom of mind” is used to attack them! along with other ‘cults.’ It is an amazing reversal—from defending the rights of the minority from majority assault, to defending the rights of the majority from minority assault! How does the minority pull off such a threatening stunt? Through ‘mind control’ and “brainwashing!’ It is an incredible charge and an 180 reversal of history! Freedomofmind.com is the url o…

Anybody want to flee now? Or have you ever thought how nice it would be if all Jehovah's witnesses were gathered in one place when the battle at Armageddon will occur? And are we not thrilled by the story, how the Christians left Jerusalem year 66CE after the Roman army unexplicably halted their attack on Jerusalem and left? The Watchtower has regularly brought up this event in the literature. The WT organization also made a movie about that some years ago. And what can we learn from all the other stories in the Bible that involved literal fleeing or journey to a new place? Noa entered the ark and came out to a new different place and environment. Abra…

I was thinking of my family’s resources for drinking water where I live. One son receives gravity fed spring water from a jagged faced mountain across the road, that has been tested to be on par with the cleanest source of drinking water in the U.S. It is delicious. Our other son’s well taps into water that has seeped through bedrock under the flowing waters of a mountain stream, located just a few hundred yards from his little house. It too, is delicious and refreshing. On the other hand, the well water I drink must be filtered twice, to remove any murky sediment and gravel bits, to ensure an adequate drinking source. Although my well was dug into the earth at a depth of…

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus has refused to extradite a Jehovah’s Witnesses follower, Nikolai Makhalichev, to Russia. He was released from custody, human rights organization Human Constanta said on Facebook. A Russian national and member of the Jehovah's Witnesses religious group, Makhalichev has spent 40 days in custody in Belarus. Human rights activists hope that the Belarusian authorities will give the Russian a refugee status or asylum, after which he will be able to live in safety. Nikolai Makhalichev, 36, was detained on February 21 in the town of Haradok, Viciebsk region. He was told that Russia had put him on an interstate wanted list becau…
