Memorial Bible reading: (Daytime events: Nisan 13) Mark 14:12-16; Matthew 26:20-25. 20 "When evening came, he was reclining at the table with the 12 disciples. 21 While they were eating, he said: “Truly I say to you, one of you will betray me.” 22 Being very much grieved at this, each and every one began to say to him: “Lord, it is not I, is it?” 23 In reply he said: “The one who dips his hand with me into the bowl is the one who will betray me. 24 True, the Son of man is going away, just as it is written about him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! Memorial Date After Sundown Tuesday, April 11. 2017 Christ died for us.—Rom. 5:8. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2017/4/11 Jehovah had complete confidence in his only-begotten Son, who had been faithful to him in heaven for countless ages. On earth, Jesus maintained his integrity and upheld Jehovah’s sovereignty under the severest of tests, dying as a faithful servant of his Father. How grateful we should be that by his death, Jesus also paid the ransom price needed to redeem mankind and open the way to everlasting life in God’s promised new world! The apostle John wrote: “By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only-begot…

EVEN IN THE FACE of death, Chekita Belgrave was brave. Last month the 20-year-old lost her battle to a rare form of cancer while undergoing chemotherapy at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, following surgery in Canada. She was being treated for osteogenic sarcoma, a cancerous bone tumour which had grown inside her mouth. At the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rose Hill, St Peter, on Saturday, hundreds of friends and family paid their final respects to the former Queen’s College student. Blessed is the one who comes in Jehovah’s name, the King of Israel!”14 When Jesus found a young donkey, he sat on it, just as it is written: 15 “Have no fear, daughter of Zion. Look! Your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”16 These things his disciples did not understand at first, but when Jesus was glorified, they recalled that these th…
