OK, I know some people will not like this and they will call it gossip but my wife and I are worried about it so it needs to aired out. We have one daughter that is still a JW. i will call her H. She is married to a non JW. She has 4 children. This daughter does not seem to recognise any dangers at all about her children. She invites anyone to her house without really knowing who they are or anything about their past. 3 of the children are girls and they attend ballet and tap dance lessons. They are only young, the oldest being around 8 years old. Today they were in a performance /show in Exeter, a biggish show that their teacher was putting on for a…

There is no doubt that In the last 106 years since 1914 the Christian congregation has had to deal with an entire world era of much more critical times than previous historical eras that have come upon the Christian congregation. Yet, when Paul said that in the last days the Christian congregation would see critical times hard to deal with, Paul was preparing Timothy for the fact that Timothy should expect to see these "critical times" in the 1st century congregations he was working with. Currently, the Watchtower ties 1914 to the beginning of an era, or generation, that has seen greater wars than were ever seen previously in the history of the world. It is also supp…

Because I love Jehovah God I wish that he will be sanctified. I wish that everyone would live according to his laws that are for our best. So that Jehovah God could be happy about mankind when he sees that people are truly happy. And that is only possible by living according to God's laws. I wish that Jehovah God could rejoice with mankind in a same way as parents rejoice when their children are happy. If we are thankful to God, then we wish that every other person would also be that. That would result in the sanctification of God. If we love God more than ourselves, then sanctification of God is more important than our own salvation. That means we would be re…

What are pneuma and ruach? In the Christian Greek texts "pneuma" is always designated as a neuter noun - meaning the writers understood it as a what or a which but never a who, let alone a he or him [note for clarification for those who would hope to salvage the "who" for trinity purposes, ho parakleetos is a descriptive masculine noun used in reference to the neuter noun pneuma in John 14:16, 26 and John 15:26. The demonstrative pronoun of ho parakleetos is ekeinos, meaning "that" or "that one." The author has appropriately used ekeinos in reference to ho parakleetos as "that one," whereas most translations incorrectly translate ekeinos as "He." ] This is cons…

Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost, is a term found in English translations of the Bible, but understood differently among the Abrahamic religions.[1][2]For the large majority of Christians, the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost, from Old English gast, "spirit") is the third divine person of the Holy Trinity: the "Triune God" manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; each person itself being God.[1][2][3]Jehovah's Witnesses view the Holy Spirit, not as an actual person separate from Jehovah, but as His "energy" or "active force", that he uses to accomplish his will in creation and redemption.[63] Symbolism The Holy Spirit is frequently referred to by metaphor…

JW USA: A Witness responds to Lloyd Evans about JW and global climate change 1 2 3 4 8

On Tuesday, we asked ex-JW activist Lloyd Evans about the Jehovah’s Witness view on climate change, since it’s an organization so centered around the idea of global catastrophe. Lloyd explained that because the planet was in Jehovah’s hands, Witnesses tended not to be concerned about environmental issues. We then received a rebuttal from Rob, a Witness who disagreed, and we’re very happy to publish his message to us, with his permission… The main point I am rebutting is this quote from Lloyd: “Jehovah’s Witnesses mostly have a very laid back approach to environmental concerns. They point to issues like global warming and damage to the environment as evidence that hum…

Butterbean the French bulldog was the focus of a case of disorderly conduct in Marathon. MARATHON, Fla. - Man's best friend also proved to be his best accomplice in the case of a Marathon man and his French bulldog Butterbean. Edgar Wallis Jones, 59, was walking his dog on Sombrero Beach Feb. 6 at 11:30 a.m. Jones approached a Jehovah's Witness who had a cart filled with religious literature set up near a pavilion. He told the man that he was not allowed on city or state property with religious books. The victim responded that he had a permit and that they were free. https://www.nbc-2.com/story/40031377/dog-bites-religious-books-on-south-florida-beach-…

When it comes to choosing our entertainment and recreation we need to treat those choices like we would a traffic light. How so? Red Traffic Light: It is life threatening to proceed with such activities. Entertainment that centers around the love of violence, sexual immorality, spiritism or that shows a lack of respect for life are clearly things God hates. Running these red lights can cost us our hope of gaining everlasting life or hurt others. Even if we run a red light without getting hit, God’s eyes are like cameras that see what we do. So we might be getting away with running spiritual red lights now, but later we may pay for it when the ticket arrives in the m…

Very simply put, for Jehovah's witnesses 'good news' is about the everlasting life on earth in a coming paradise. That is the first thing Jehovah's witnesses tell people while preaching. And then secondly that Jesus will rule the earth under 1000 years. That is also what Jehovah's witnesses usually think of very much and they wait eagerly for Armageddon and wish that this would come as soon as possible. I know that, I used to think like that, just waiting for those blessings to come. But I had for a long time not fully understood nor appreciated what the 'good news', the gospel is about. Based on one scripture Matthew 24:14 it seemed to be only about God's kingdom, …

Oh, for crying out loud! Where is Quality Control on these things? From The Watchtower, September 1, 2012: “Does God Really Care About Women?” “No” is the answer, as reproduced in the Research Guide, followed by: “Genesis 1:27 states: ‘God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.’ So from the very beginning, humans—both male and female—were created with the ability to reflect God’s qualities. Although Adam and Eve had their own unique emotional and physical makeup, they both received the same commission and enjoyed the same rights before their Maker. (Genesis 1:28-31) This explanation accords …

Master Chronological List > 1914 Pastor Charles Taze Russell pointed to 1914 as the end of the "Gentile Times" or "The Appointed Times of the Nations."Subsequent President of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society Judge Joseph F. Rutherford established 1914 as the date of "Christ's Invisible Return" and crowning as King of God's Kingdom in 1920 which had been previously believed to be 1878. Hence, Jehovah's heavenly Kingdom is established.Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Satan and his demons were cast down to earth from heaven after October 1, 1914 at which point the end times began. From 1914 C.E. to the early part of 1918 C.E. or 1,260 days Jehovah's people preach…

The downloadable research guide is going to add much to the current cycle of Bible reading. Already with Genesis 1:1 are links to articles observing that there is no reason to quarrel about the age of the earth. Scientists say 4 billion years? Let them. There is no objection, since “in the beginning” is BEFORE the creative days begin. Nor is there any objection to a ‘big bang’ as a means to which God created the cosmos. Genesis 1;3 I have always loved: “and God’s active force [spirit] was moving about over the surface of the waters”—as though saying, “okay—ready, here—gimme something to do.” ”The riot squad is restless; they need somewhere to go.”—Bob …

“Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness And his upper rooms without justice, Who uses his neighbor’s services without pay And does not give him his wages, 14 Who says, ‘I will build myself a roomy house With spacious upper rooms, And cut out its windows, paneling it with cedar and painting it bright red.’ 15 “Do you become a king because you are competing in cedar? (“to vie with a rival”) Did not your father eat and drink And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him. 16 “He pled the cause of the afflicted and needy; Then it was well. Is not that what it means to know Me?” Declares the Lord. 17 “But your eyes and your hea…

The scriptures compare the signs of Christ's presence for inspection, to a woman giving birth (Isa 26:17; Matt 24:8; Rev 12:2). Jesus was a perfect teacher, and the illustrations he chose, apply to the lesson he was teaching. If he compares the end time signs to birth pangs, then we know this period of "labor", and all the signs associated with it, PRECEDES the "birth" of the Kingdom! You have likely been taught, that the birth of God's Kingdom, took place at the beginning of these signs of labor. I ask you to use your power of reason to realize that the "birth" of the Kingdom, takes place at the end of these labor pains (Rev 12:1,2,5). However, once th…

Joe knew dirty rotten lowlifes well, to use one of his favorite phrases. “You know that car dealer on TV?” he’d say, speaking of certain commercials. “I know him. He’s a dirty rotten lowlife. I’ve seen him at the auction. He always has a woman in one arm and he holds a drink in the other.” Joe knew dirty rotten lowlifes because he had been dirtier than any of them. When he muscled in on the mob’s territory, the mob came to pay him a visit. He emerged from his shack with a live grenade in each hand! “Now, what is it that you boys wanted?” They suddenly remembered that they really hadn’t wanted anything at all. Years later, after Joe had become one of Jehovah’s Witnes…

Jan 1, 2019 I made a resolution to stop watching cable news tv. I slipped twice. This year I'm going to make a resolution to to stop debating jw's. Their rhetoric speaks for itself. So I'm gonna take a break from this site. I've enjoyed how you jw's turn against each other. How much your words display how you are not Gods only reps on earth. I may just decide to let you guys and girls implode, but I may be back to remind you your Jehovah Witness religion stinks, as if you didn't know that already.

Sorry to you all who posted on this previous topic. I inadvertedly erased the whole thread. The point was that I did not find that the article honored Jesus enough. I am here back with scriptures showing what kind of love Jehovah God wants that we have for his onlybegotten son Jesus Christ. I think these scriptures would help JWs to understand how much Jesus loves us and how much we should love and honor him in turn. John 14:3 Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you home to myself, so that where I am you also may be John 14:13 Also, whatever you ask in my name, I will do this, so that the Father…

The more I'm reading on here, the more I am understanding one big problem that Jehovah's Witnesses have. What problem ? Jehovah's Witnesses lack FAITH. JWs seem to only recognise physical things. There are scriptures, i know not where, about the physical man verses the spiritual man. How the physical man sees only the things seen with the physical eyes. Where as the Spiritual man sees Spiritual things with his 'heart' as well as physical things with his eyes. JWs, it seems, need to have physical things to 'have faith in'. Hence the need for the GB and the JW Org and the Watchtower magazines, and the Kingdom Halls, all physical things that JWs 'worship'. …

7:26 But the Court sat, and they took away his rulership, in order to annihilate him and to destroy him completely. 27 “‘And the kingdom and the rulership and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the holy ones of the Supreme One. Their kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all rulerships will serve and obey them.’ 28 “This is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts alarmed me greatly, so that I turned pale; but I kept the matter in my own heart.”
