“This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the inhabited earth, as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.” Matt 24:14 What is the “good news” to be preached in the last days? Is it based on the year 1914 when the organization claims the “conclusion of this system of things” began? In a very recent magazine, 1919 is taught to be the year that a line of demarcation was established between the anointed “spirit sons of Zion” and all of Christendom. The WT leaders preach that Isa 66:8 has been fulfilled. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation …

This week marked 25 years in prison without charges or trial for three men in Eritrea. The trio—identified as Paulos Eyasu, Isaac Mogos and Negede Teklemariam—have been incarcerated in the East African nation since 1994, after refusing to partake in military service, part of their pacifist beliefs as Jehovah's Witnesses. Authorities arrested Eyasu, Mogos and Teklemariam on September 17, 1994, but formal charges were never filed and they've never come before the court. In 2017, they were transferred to Mai Serwa prison, where they were allowed visitors for the first time, according to Human Rights Watch. Paulos Eyasu, Isaac Mogos and Negede Teklemariam have …

Breast milk, and especially colostrum, contains white blood cells and babies nurse on breast milk. But JWs are not allowed to receive blood via transfusion or even white blood cells via transfusion. Yet babies literally eat white blood cells if nourished by breast milk. How do JWs explain THAT? https://www.kindredbravely.com/blogs/bravely/5-fascinating-facts-about-breastmilk Fun fact: it's often kind of blue. It goes for 3 days. Babies get no fat from this. They have a small fat nodule in the back of their necks called "Browning" that lasts ... Yep... 3 days. Then the breast milk comes in. This is why babies often lose a little weight the first few d…

Just believing in someone named "Jesus" means nothing unless we are talking about the Jesus Christ of the Bible. The one, eternal, everlasting, uncreated God. The one who created ALL things. It is like if you know someone called "bob" and i know another person called "bob". Now, can we have a conversation about "bob" without defining WHO we are talking about? No. The mormon, Jehovahs Witness, Seventh Day Adventist, UPCI, etc. "Jesus" is NOT the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Hupostasis or ὑπόστασις which refers to the nature and substance the Father and Son share John 1:1 "Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.". "En arkhêi ên ho …

the bible one of the most striking proofs of his divine origin "The numberless prophecies of the Bible are one of the most striking proofs of his divine origin; for nothing but omniscience could have foreseen and announced the details of many future events over a period of many thousands of years and related to conditions that did not exist at the time when these prophecies were made, since no human or angelic wisdom could have seen so far into the future and predict events whose outcome had nothing to do with the conditions of the moment. Nothing but a divine omniscience could have foreseen and announced such a vast system of interdependent events. " …

To all naysayers and apologists who say that Jehovah will look at hearts at armageddon and save billions, my own mother believes this. This is the october 2019 study Watchtower page 11 paragraph 14. As you can see it makes it crystal clear that ONLY baptized witnesses will survive armageddon. 14 Read Matthew 28:19, 20. As we conduct Bible studies, we have to try our best to “make disciples . . . , teaching them to observe all the things [Jesus has] commanded.” We need to help people understand how important it is for them to take their stand for Jehovah and his Kingdom. This means trying to motivate people to make the truth their own by applying what they learn,…

The following quote is from page 94, chapter "How to live forever". The church systems would have the people believe that only those who become church members can be saved. The Bible never taught any such doctrine (!!!). The Lord never organized the nominal systems, and the true church is but a little flock, who shall inherit the kingdom of heaven, and the others of the world do not in- herit it. To the church Jesus said: 'Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom'. (Luke 12 : 32) Jesus died not only for those who will constitute the members of the church, but for all. St. John plainly stated: 'He is the propitiation [satis…

MY DAD

MY DAD The following describes the children's perception of their Dad through a lifetime. When I was four years old: My daddy can do anything When I was five years old: My daddy knows a whole lot. When I was six years old: My dad is smarter than your dad. When I was eight years old: My dad doesn't know exactly everything. When I was 10 years old: In the olden days, when my dad grew up, things were sure different. When I was 12 years old: Oh, well, naturally, Dad doesn't know anything about that. He is too old to remember his childhood. When I was 14 years old: Don't pay any attention to my Dad. He is so old-fa…

The risk , it is not this that we know , this is what one takes for granted and that the is not . - Mark Twain. DISBELIEVING DESPITE FACTS For centuries, people believed that Aristotle was right when he said that the heavier an object, the faster it would fall to earth. Aristotle was regarded as the greatest thinker of all time, and surely, he would not be wrong. Anyone, of course, could have taken two objects; one heavy and one light, and…

JW Eritrea:'It was very painful to lose such a friend': Jehovah's Witnesses imprisoned in Eritrea mark 25 years of captivity and torture
by Guest Indiana- 0 replies

Tuesday marks the 25th anniversary of the imprisonment of three Jehovah's Witnesses in Eritrea, where they have been subject to torture and allowed little contact with the world outside the prison walls. Paulos Eyasu, Isaac Mogos, and Negede Teklemariam were detained on Sept. 17, 1994, apparently because they conscientiously objected to military service, according to a report published in August by the Jehovah's Witnesses' Office of Public Information. They were held at the Sawa military training camp until 2017, when they were transferred to Mai Serwa prison, where they were briefly granted access to visitors for the first time since their imprisonment. None of the …

Here's what I've got so far as an introduction: One Saturday night in the spring . . . . Albert had gone to bed early in the dormitory of the YMCA, where he was living while working in Chicago. Later, his roommate burst into the room to explain a difficulty. He was invited that night to the home of a Mr. and Mrs. Hindman, and their daughter Nora was to have a girlfriend there at the house. Two girls would be too much for Albert’s roommate to handle by himself. With alacrity, Albert rose to the occasion. During the course of the evening, Albert’s roommate was getting along quite famously with the two young ladies. But Mr. and Mrs. Hindman concentrated on Albert . .…

THE INSANE INMATE

THE INSANE INMATE A young brother imprisoned in Korea in the 90's due to the neutrality issue had a cellmate that was sentenced to death. This cellmate was very violent. One time he punched our brother and tried to start a fight. At that moment, the brother prayed to God to remind him of a Bible account that could be practical in that situation. He then recalled the account when David was persecuted, and he started to act like he was insane. ( 1 Samuel 21:12-15) So, as he was getting hit, the brother started to act like he was crazy. This threw off the attacker and made him confused and disconcerted. The result? He stopped the violence against our brother. Event…

THE ONLY REALLY FOREIGN MISSIONARY

THE ONLY REALLY FOREIGN MISSIONARY A Bethel speaker shared this quote that is originally attributed to brother Nathan Knorr when he visited some missionaries in a certain island in the Pacific: “While these areas may seem foreign, remember that you are always at home on planet Earth. The only really foreign missionary was Christ, because he left the heavens to serve here. Stick to your assignment until the work is done!”

The wisdom given by God
by Guest- 0 replies

The wisdom given by God In Proverbs 2:7 there is the expression "practical wisdom" as the practice of "knowledge". Indeed, Jesus Christ associated wisdom with the practice of biblical knowledge, in contrast with the foolish man who, having this knowledge, does not take it into account: "Therefore everyone that hears these sayings of mine and does them will be likened to a discreet man, who built his house upon the rock-mass. And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and lashed against that house, but it did not cave in, for it had been founded upon the rock-mass. Furthermore, everyone hearing these sayings of mine and not doing them will b…

A letter from the Spain branch was sent to elders informing them about what to do if anyone is assaulted on the carts/trolleys during public witnessing. The letter is dated 10th July 2019 and includes a sheet with instructions that must be included with each cart. This means that we now have a legitimate document to be able to reason with active JWs. The document is entitled "What to do in the case of aggression during public witnessing activity?" First point it mentions is to call the police IMMEDIATELY, not the branch, hence highlighting that Watchtower value preaching carts more than the lives of abused children (where the Bethel branch must be ca…

Few things aggravate like being in service and the householder tells you how you can’t earn salvation through good works. Say: “Well, the good works can’t hurt, can they?” Let him try to assert that they do. If they get truly condescending, sloughing you on the basis that they’re Christian (as though you are not), I have even been known to say: “Only a Christian would do what I am doing. Frankly, I’m a little surprised that you are not doing it yourself.” Watch that smug smile fade. I mean, it is fine to decline conversation—more people do than don’t—just not on that basis. It’s a little dicey. Use it very sparingly, only when richly deserved, and probably not even …

Beware: Fake News about JW changes to doctrinal beliefs (Accepting blood transfusions, etc) 1 2

After decades of doctrinal embargo placed on blood transfusion for medical purposes for its members, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses- the leadership group overseeing the religion’s activities wordwide has finally made a U-turn, reversing its stance on the matter. In a letter to all its Congregations (Kingdom Halls) worldwide on Thursday, the Governing Body tacitly approved blood transfusion for medical purposes for adherents of the religion. It is on record that a significant number of Jehovah’s Witnesses who had medical condition requiring blood transfusion for treatment died because they or their guardians refused blood transfusion because of religious …

The WT Society interprets that JW elders have the right not to disclose secrets to the police and to other government agencies regarding child abuse when members of the organization give them information, whether they are victims or perpetrators. In this appeal, WT lawyers defend this right by invoking the Catholic Church and their clergy. In fact, although the WT Society and JWorg claim to have no priestly class as the Catholic Church, they do want the same privileges for their elders, before the bodies of the law, as Catholic priests do. What is the doctrine in the Catholic Church regarding "confession"? What is the doctrine of the WT and JW Organization regar…
