Rule of Law Prevails in the Republic of Rwanda

Thanks to the efforts of Rwanda’s Ombudsman and clear-thinking judges, Jehovah’s Witnesses received justice after a long legal battle. The Supreme Court initially ruled against the Witnesses and ordered them to pay compensation to the owners of a building that Kigali city officials had ordered to be demolished. However, the Ombudsman saw a clear injustice and asked the Supreme Court to reconsider its judgment. Kigali City Officials Order a Cleanup As part of a far-reaching cleanup initiative, Kigali city officials issued an order in 2006 for residents to remove all street kiosks built on public land. This same order obligated residents to maintain and beautify t…

Very strange behavior by the attendants and Elders after the Duluth, GA, RC. On the first link the attendants start to exit the arena, then line up and turn their backs on the street preachers. (Around the 6:00 mark). This video shows the attendants and Elders singing over and over, We are Jehovah's Witnesses and clapping hands.

More bitter than death is the woman who is like a hunter’s net, whose heart is like dragnets, and whose hands are like prison chains.—Eccl. 7:26. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/8/29 True love was rare in the days of King Solomon of ancient Israel. He wrote: “One upright man out of a thousand I found, but a woman among them I have not found. This alone I have found: The true God made mankind upright, but they have sought out many schemes.” (Eccl. 7:27-29, ftn.) Largely as a result of the influence of foreign women who practiced Baal worship, moral standards had dropped so low in his day that Solomon found it difficult to find a man or a woman with good …

Source Will there ever be a meat-free world? I must confess, I do like bacon - and the odd chicken dinner. Not as enthusiastically, as some, I might add, and I’m rapidly fancying that rack of spare ribs a lot less than I used to, but I've certainly eaten my share. So the following statement is not a pious, self-righteous attack on carnivores but an honest presentation of the facts: Humans are not designed to eat meat. If, like me, you believe in creation you also have to believe God's words to Adam in Genesis chapter 1:29*. "Here I have given to you every seed-bearing plant that is on the earth and every tree with seed-bearing fruit. Le…

Symeon [Peter] has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name.—Acts 15:14. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/8/27 At a meeting of the governing body of first-century Christians held in 49 C.E., the disciple James stated the above. This new people bearing Jehovah’s name would include both Jewish and non-Jewish believers. (Rom. 11:25, 26a) Later, Peter wrote: “You were once not a people, but now you are God’s people.” Peter outlined their mission by stating: “You are ‘a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abro…

“Tell me, are you a Roman?” He said: “Yes.”—Acts 22:27. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/8/28 Roman citizenship offered valuable rights and immunities. Paul made use of his Roman citizenship on several occasions. Faced with scourging in Jerusalem, the apostle asked a Roman officer: “Is it lawful for you to scourge a Roman who has not been condemned?” It was not. When Paul pointed out that he was a Roman citizen by birth, “the men who were about to interrogate him under torture backed away from him; and the military commander became afraid.” (Acts 22:25-29) Paul’s citizenship under Roman law affected how he was treated in Philippi. (Acts 16:35-40) In Ephe…

Kelsey Lu: "I was very particular about what kind of dresses I would wear and want. They had to be what I call 'spin around' dresses, and if I spun around and they made that wave, then it was a go. It was definitely a go." Memories of family thrifting excursions — trips that helped solidify her personal style — are wistful accounts of unearthing overlooked treasures. http://www.vogue.com/13469713/afropunk-kelsey-lu-festival-style-churches-dev-hynes-molly-goddard/

Welcome to where you can get biblical advice and counsel on anything and everything related to Jehovah's Witnesses. There is no judgment and only loving concern to help you serve Jehovah and Jesus Christ, increase faith and remain loyal to Jehovah's organization or simply to discuss how to interact with Jehovah's Witnesses. If you do not feel comfortable addressing your concerns to the elders in your congregation or to family, friends or your Bible teacher, and do not want to take the chance of a letter you write to the address in the Watchtower getting forwarded to your local congregation, you may post your concerns here. Whether you have doubts, have sinned an…
