Prime Minister Tony Blair recently described tolerance as ‘what makes Britain Britain’ but in this extensive investigation Dispatches reveals how a message of hatred and segregation is being spread throughout the UK and examines how it is influenced by the religious establishment of Saudi Arabia. Dispatches has investigated a number of mosques run by high profile national organisations that claim to be dedicated to moderation and dialogue with other faiths. But an undercover reporter joined worshippers to find a message of religious bigotry and extremism being preached. He captures chilling sermons in which Saudi-trained preachers proclaim the supremacy of Islam, prea…

Even in the best relationships, things can get “rusty.” You might be bored, may start to take each other for granted, may be fighting (or not communicating at all). But this doesn't have to mean you're going to live unhappily ever after. Once you recognize that things have gotten stale, you can put in the “work” (it’s fun, I promise!) to revive the love that brought you together in the first place. Here are 10 fun ideas for refreshing your romantic relationship. 1. Deposit good feelings in each other's emotional banks, every day. You know those things you say or do that make you feel good, like complimenting a stranger on their haircut or buying a cup …

How do 4 publishers located 500kms from their host congregation reach 16,000 people in their remote assignment at Norway House and Cross Lake Cree Nations in Manitoba, Canada? Besides door to door and public witnessing we also use radio! We have been summarizing the Bible Teach book one chapter per week via the local radio stations. Next weekend we will be on chapter 10. Nearly everyday we are meeting people who say they are listening in every weekend. Several studies have been started as a result. Last week we met a couple who requested a Bible study via jw.org. Why? Because they too had been listening. We pray that Jehovah continue to bless these efforts. Photo shared b…

Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus.—Phil. 2:5. What sort of disposition did Jesus have? He was humble. Humility moved him to be self-sacrificing in his ministry. Preaching to others about the good news of God’s Kingdom was foremost in his mind. (Mark 1:38; 13:10) Jesus viewed God’s Word as the final authority. (John 7:16; 8:28) He diligently studied the Holy Scriptures so that he could quote them, defend them, and explain them. By being humble and zealous in our ministry and personal Bible study, we will be more Christlike in our thinking. Even in his exalted position, Jesus will humbly submit to his Father’s will, and so should we. (1 Cor…

“Jehovah, Jehovah, I’m dying, I’m dying,” Omar Silva said ;-( Jury finds *Fresno gang member* guilty of murdering a Jehovah’s Witness Brother.... ECCLESIASTES, 9 : 11,12 11 I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all. 12 For man does not know his time. Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaste…

John 1:1 Is Jesus Christ ‘a god’ or ‘God’? Watchtower Teaching: The NWT translates the first ‘θεος’ in John 1:1 as ‘God’, and the second ‘θεος’ as ‘a god’. In the Greek, there is a definite article ‘the’ (‘ό ’) before the first occurrence of God (ό θεος = the God). However, there is no definite article ‘the’ before the second occurrence of ‘God’. The Watchtower argues (falsely) that, when a noun has a definite article (like ‘ό θεος’), it points to an identity or personality, such as the person of Jehovah God. The WT claims (falsely) that the same phrase (‘ό θεος’) is never used of Jesus Christ in the NT (Watchtower, 1 July 86, p31). (Note: ‘ό θεος’ is use…
