New research in the USA shows that Jehovah's Witnesses who refuse blood transfusions recover from heart surgery faster and with fewer complications than those who have transfusions. Patients who are Jehovah's Witnesses had better survival rates, shorter hospital stays, fewer additional operations for bleeding and spent fewer days in the intensive care unit than those who received blood transfusions during surgery, a study in the Archives of Internal Medicine shows. Jehovah's Witnesses undergo extensive blood conservation before surgery, including red blood-cell boosting erythropoietin drugs, iron and B-complex vitamins to guard against anaemia. The practice off…

Prince's estate released a statement. At a rally in Mississippi, Trump bizarrely played Prince‘s iconic 1984 song “Purple Rain.” PrinceÂ’s estate was not here for it. “The Prince Estate has never given permission to President Trump or The White House to use PrinceÂ’s songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately,” PrinceÂ’s estate said in a statement via Jeremiah Freed, also known as Dr. Funkenberry. Here is a video below of the song being played at the Trump rally: While Prince was certainly a political artist, he often talked about race, poverty and faith in his music. He was not associated …

Elizabeth Chuck wrote an article about Jehovah’s Witnesses and I would have preferred she write one instead about the PTA meeting in her town. It is a normal reaction, for it was news of a huge-dollar verdict against a religious organization I hold dear. Of course I hate to see it; that’s only natural. When you find yourself on the gallows you do not angle for a selfie with the hangman. Still, if you must hear bad news, hear it from Ms. Chuck, for her news in this case is straight reporting, not one of the hatchet jobs we often get. The topic is the most white-hot topic of all, child sexual abuse, and temptations to whip it into fever pitch are not resisted by all. S…

First, it may be well to catch up with Part 1: https://www.theworldnewsmedia.org/topic/70655-is-it-time-for-jehovahs-witnesses-to-apologize-part-1/ Jehovah’s Witnesses did fail in this regard. Let us admit it. They failed to ‘go beyond the law.’ The stakes are so high that law is thereafter reinterpreted to mean that they did violate it. Why did they fail? Ms. Chuck accurately states that any Witness victim or family of victim was always free to report child sexual abuse and that congregation justice did not preclude outside secular justice. Arguably, then, they failed because they were insular, as she says, and they may not realize just how firmly she has put …

Bear in since most of the items have been moved to "topics", I will post this here. The Gospel of John John 18:6 As he said to them, "I am," they drew back and fell down to the ground."  The Trinitarian Claim Some among the mainstream, including those of the Trinitarian belief, claim that the soldiers fell down to the ground because Jesus had identified himself as Yahweh/Jehovah. Beyond this, the claims are rather confused. Some also imagine that the soldiers had been involuntarily driven to the ground. The Claim vs. The Facts The Scriptures found in the Bible show us that these soldiers fell to the ground beca…

What! Do you think I’m kidding? Yes, of course IÂ’m going to link to it. ItÂ’s unbelievable. Covert says: “Hey guys, please read the correction below. Really sorry this slipped through, and weÂ’ll tighten our process to make sure we donÂ’t repeat it. Again, apologies everyone. WellÂ….probably no big deal, and after all, he did apologize. LetÂ’s see what this is all about. His friend Lloyd says of his previous ‘reportÂ’: “Thanks so much for the kind comments. We really enjoyed putting this episode together and IÂ’m glad many of you seem to be finding it helpful and informative. Unfortunately, I need to offer an apology and a retraction. A trusted source p…

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-33982267 I think most Jehovah's Witnesses are aware that this is the case. But there are still some opposers who like to deny this.

The cartoon sketch below earlier posted by Jack Ryan, prompted me to pull up an old comment I had posted here. In light of one of the latest Watchtower study articles, “Do You Have the Facts”, I have added a few more thoughts. Well, probably more than a few. WatchtowerÂ’s governing body member, Anthony Morris, stated that the “theocratic organization” receives its decisions or “decrees” from God. He comments, “When that direction comes out to Branch committee members, or when it comes out to the congregations; If YOU WANT JEHOVAHÂ’S BLESSING  ON YOU as an individual or family, certainly as an elder or congregation, itÂ’d be best to ask Jehovah t…

Can anyone explain this to me?: Rev. 20:5 -- “(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were ended.)…”? I thought that our loved ones will be resurrected DURING the 1,000 years… Does it maybe mean that they do not come to “everlasting life” until the 1,000 years are ended? Full Scripture for Reference: (Revelation 20:4, 5) And I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had not worshipped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on th…

Larry James King was a man of faith since he was a teenager and a top athlete at Sophonia M. Thompkins High School in Savannah, Georgia. Born in Savannah to Elizabeth and James T. King on February 9, 1947, he not only was top in athletic skills, he was also top in academic skills. He attended Moses Jackson Elementary before advancing to Thompkins. As noted by all, Larry was an outstanding athlete and led in every area of sports until reaching 11th grade when he decided to attend services at The Jehovah’s Witnesses Church where he met and was taught by the father of his wife, Susie. After graduating from high school, he worked briefly in Miami and then enrol…

Victims of sexual abuse within Jehovah's Witnesses are still being thwarted by the denomination. That says lawyer Nico Meijering. He calls the abuse within the church "many times more dangerous for society and riskier than the average motorcycle club." The Reclaimed Voices Foundation is on Saturday afternoon at the door of the Jehova's Witnesses headquarters in Emmen. In 'a quiet and peaceful protest' against sexual abuse. Meijering, lawyer at Ficq & Partners Advocaten in Amsterdam, represents twelve victims of sexual abuse at Jehovah's Witnesses. Several victims want to inspect files that the denomination has about them. Child abuse within the Jehovah'…

Jehovah's Witnesses will do everything to avoid having to comply with a declaration obligation for cases of sexual abuse. That experts conclude on the basis of new internal documents from the church, which are in the hands of RTL Nieuws. These are letters from the head office in America to departments in other countries. These letters discuss what needs to be done if a declaration is required in that country. The central management points out to the departments in the letters that they have to do everything they can to get out of such a duty to report. Jehovah's Witnesses are under attack because they do not report internal cases of sexual abuse to the pol…

Download here Lyrics: The Search  We heard the words ‘seek and youÂ’ll findÂ’ The very priceless pearl of truth. It was a sea of doubts and questions to God That the search would take us through. But we carried on with our sails unfurled. Like merchants on a quest, we knew that truth was out there.  The search—the search for the key To answer all the things, Things that we fight to understand: The origin of man, wondering why we need GodÂ’s Kingdom soon to come.  Searching hard to find.  We had never known God had a name. Jehovah is the one to call on. Whe…
