Hi folks, You may have noticed quite a number of changes to the entire site over the last few days. Hopefully you will all enjoy your new home(s) depending on language. This should end up better for everyone so that the site can enjoy many different groups rather than be dominated by ONE large one. This new simplified view should work better.... I would also add that not one post was lost during the transition. and if you can't find something... the search bar above should be very powerful. Thanks to the @The Librarian for his understanding. I think it offers a cleaner look but I am wondering what's under the hood.

I am still going to say Invision Power Boards 4.x suite but it is lacking a progressive web app. This site runs on IPB for instance. I am wondering if anyone knows of a better platform that is monetizable using adsense? I am surprised Google hasn't created a full suite for forum admins to complement it's adsense product together with a built in pwa. Your Thoughts?

I was begging for IPB to create a progressive web app for this forum site and a developer pushed back saying I was in essence whining. There are a few difficult steps for the average forum owner at this point. Developers can easily create something evidently. As I was writing my response... I thought to myself..... How much longer until Google, offers us a fully featured forum software with a PWA built in? Adsense enabled. Hmm... good idea. Talk about a Blogger upgrade. Anyone know Larry or Sergei personally over a Google? Please share this post with him/them. All they have to do is empower all the old bloggers with pwa's of their own using their already in existence Google Adsense code. Imagine creating a entire universe of Mark Zuckerberg's each with their own version of Google + / Facebook / Forum.

More specs: The Walney Extension is 50% owned by Orsted, with the other 50% split between two Danish pension funds. The project is able to power 590,000 homes in the U.K., which is a leader in the offshore wind sector. The country operates over 1,800 offshore wind turbines.

I was trying to decide how I would have reacted. In Proof-of-work (PoW) transactions are grouped into blocks. These blocks are validated by PoW miners. When a block is validated it becomes a permanent part of the Decred network. You can become a miner by dedicating spare computing resources to the network. In return miners are rewarded with Decred. For efficiency and convenience you can join mining pools. The pools are groups of miners who share the work and split the reward. Joining a mining pool is an excellent way for smaller contributors to receive consistent payouts for their work.

The term mining represents the process of validating transactions on the Decred network and keeping it secure. In return for work, miners are rewarded with newly generated Decred coins. Decred has two methods of validating transactions: Proof-of-work (PoW) and Proof-of-stake (PoS).

An address is the only thing needed to send or receive funds. It can be easily generated from any Decred wallet. Decred addresses always begin with D and contain 26-36 alphanumeric characters. After a transaction is made, funds will usually clear in about 5 minutes. There is a small fee to help with the upkeep of the network. This fee is in addition to the transaction amount. That is, a transfer of 100DCR would incur a fee of about 0.006DCR. The block explorers mainnet.decred.org and explorer.dcrdata.org allow users to search all the blocks and transactions in the Decred blockchain.

There are three main ways to interact with Decred: The Wallet - For sending and receiving funds as well as participating in PoS mining. Proof-of-work Mining - Using computing power to validate transactions on the network and generate new Decred tokens. Proof-of-stake Mining - Using funds to vote on important network development matters and validate transactions for rewards.

Dear Mark, (I know we aren't on a first name basis .. so pardon me that) You created a "forum" that went viral and shook up the world. All forum admins everywhere have been trying to learn your secret to success ever since. Governments are trying to figure out what to do with Facebook. They love it and hate it at the same time. However, your shareholders greed has come to the point where they are endangering the precious baby you created. No one has ever seen a company pivot from desktop to mobile as fast or as successfully. With all that said, let me offer my humble opinion on your platform. Ads (as I have on this website are ok and acceptable to the public) All the other creepy uses of user's data are just creepy and not worth even touching. Facebook is getting KILLED in the privacy and trust arena which is critical and very tough to ever recover. Here are a list of moves that should never have happened and hopefully you'll be able to roll back to recover: Allow users the ability to control their OWN newsfeed completely. I mean down to the granular level. (Think about how that would reduce your responsibility for creating people's newsfeeds for them only to later hear them complain about how you suck at that) Keep ads OUT of the newsfeed. Settle for banner ads and make billions off of the user interaction increase. (Less can be MORE) Don't throttle Page / Group owner's views of their posts to their audience. These "publishers" / (companies) create interaction. Throttle them and you throttle interaction that the rest of the forum admins in the world would die for. (This will ignite the entire platform) Your Publishers and Page owner's created your platform's ubiquitousness. Then you abandoned them in order to charge them. They have mostly left now along with the users) There are more including a complete brand refresh that we should talk about someday. Facebook is dying but it can still be revived and grow even more.
