  1. Now a group of scientists in the UK have claimed to have discovered the right way to manufacture synthetic blood and have even succeeded in doing so. The National Health Services of UK has announced its decision to start experimenting on synthetic blood in 2017 on a group pf 20 people. The blood substitutes are not meant to replace blood, the scientists said. Instead, synthetic blood is only meant to carry out the functions of actual blood wherever it fails. As such, synthetic blood transports oxygen.
  2. Disasters don’t always occur when we are together with our family and friends, and so it’s important to take time now to plan what you will do in an emergency. It only takes a few minutes to talk through the greatest risks that can affect where you live, work or go to school. This September and throughout the year here are few actions you can take to get started: Make & practice your family emergency plan Download the FEMA app Share preparedness tips with the #NatlPrep Social Media Toolkit Watch "Don't Wait" Public Service Announcement ► By having a conversation or making a plan, families can have more confidence and be better prepared when the next event happens. 4. Gods Fingerprint→ The Fibonacci Sequence - Golden Ratio and The Fractal Nature of Reality"Fibonacci numbers are of interest to biologists and physicists because they are frequently observed in various natural objects and phenomena. The branching patterns in trees and leaves, for example, and the distribution of seeds in a raspberry are based on Fibonacci numbers.A Sanskrit grammarian, Pingala, is credited with the first mention of the sequence of numbers, sometime between the fifth century B.C. and the second or third century A.D. Since Fibonacci introduced the series to Western civilization, it has had a high profile from time to time. Recently, in The Da Vinci Code , for example, the Fibonacci sequence is part of an important clue."
  5. I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart. FOR EXAMPLE One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me." I said "WHAT????!!! What was that?!" So she says the words That every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in Touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just Love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?" Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'll just buy them all. She wanted new Shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went onto the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier." I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it." Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled "WHAT???!!!" I then said, "Really honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?" Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either.
  6. Service Animals and the Washington Law Against Discrimination.pdf Service_Animals and the ADA -- Q and A.pd.pdf In summary: Service animals are allowed, not pets. There are certain questions we can ask to determine if they are a service animal. Page 3 of first attachment addresses these questions: “a business can ask if the animal is a pet. If the animal is a pet, the business can exclude the animal. If the handler answers that the animal is a service animal, the business can proceed to a second question…”(more on page 3). Per the first attachment: “RCW 49.60.215 prohibits discrimination in a place of public accommodation due to the “use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a disabled person.” WAC 162-26-130 requires “fair service in a place of public accommodation regardless of the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a disabled person as well as because of the disability itself.” (Internal quotations omitted.) Service animals must be allowed into all areas of a place of public accommodation where the general public is allowed – this includes dining and eating areas, restrooms, and areas where food is sold. A place of public accommodation cannot request that the service animal be removed unless it creates a risk of harm. This risk must be actual, and cannot be speculative or based on a fear of dogs. In addition, if an animal exhibits disruptive, poor or unsanitary behavior, it would not be considered a trained service animal, and can be removed.”

  12. With more than half the vote counted, the ruling African National Congress (ANC) is ahead on 53.2 percent of the vote which, if this trend continues, will be the first election since the end of apartheid in 1994 that the ANC receives less than 60 percent. The opposition Democratic Alliance, with about 28 percent of the vote nationally, has gained the lead in three major cities: Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Port Elizabeth. Final results are expected Friday.
  13. In-car displays are going to get awesome (and hopefully not distracting). Visteon was one of the first automotive companies to exhibit at the Consumer Electronics Show. This year Visteon demonstrated properties that included instrument clusters, head-up displays, information displays, telematics, infotainment and audio products. Visteon is the only company focused on all products areas within the cockpit electronics segment.

  15. Meet Augusto Pinochet, Chilean dictator from 1973-1990. Not a very nice guy. And… So here we have a guy who solidified his power by killing and otherwise punishing his opponents and who procured extravagant wealth through corrupt means. Because this is so similar to how the Catholic Church secured its power, you can imagine how they’d want to separate themselves from Pinochet. Which they did publicly…however, thanks to wikileaks, we now know that the Holy See told the State Department and Henry Kissinger that they supported Pinochet. And just as recently as 2010 the Catholic Church in Chile was seeking the release of imprisoned accomplices from Pinochet’s regime. This is incredibly odd behavior if the Catholic Church is representative of a loving god’s will on earth. Of course, stuff like this is exactly what we’d expect to see if the Catholic Church was a political organization interested primarily in its own power, run by corruptible mortals. I’d ask Mark Shea or Thomas McDonald for an explanation, but they tend to go quiet about stuff like this. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/wwjtd/2013/04/catholic-church-actually-supported-chilean-dictator/
