Jehovah’s Witnesses Extend Global Invitation to the Annual Commemoration of Christ’s Death
NEW YORK—On Saturday, February 27, Jehovah’s Witnesses will launch a global campaign to invite the public to an event the Witnesses consider to be the most important of the year, the Memorial of Christ’s death, which will take place on March 23. David A. Semonian, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses at their world headquarters in New York, states: “The commemoration will include a discourse explaining why Jesus’ death almost two thousand years ago is relevant in modern times and how it inspires hope for the future. We would like as many people as possible to benefit from the spiritual guidance this ceremony will offer.”
Throughout the campaign, some eight million Witnesses around the globe will personally visit their neighbors to invite them to this event. Last year, nearly 20 million people attended the Memorial observance.

Uber, the “drive your own vehicle transportation company.” They are trying to recruit veterans as drivers, and they advertise their service as a career opportunity. As with any other form of employment, candidates should familiarize themselves with the service before applying. At a minimum, this company has provided many people the opportunity to earn supplemental income. Cars must be newer than 10 years old, and they have a program to assist drivers obtain new(er) vehicles.
We aren’t endorsing the service or company, simply providing information. I wasn’t able to find out much information from their website without registering, but here’s the link: https://www.uber.com/drive/

Hello,
We will be holding Citizenship Day on Saturday, April 23rd in Tacoma, Vancouver and Yakima. Citizenship Day is a FREE, one-day legal clinic to help legal permanent residents apply for citizenship. It’s hosted by the WA State Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and OneAmerica. Citizenship is a critical part of American Dream for many immigrant families, but the high cost of attorneys and fear of the process stop many eligible people from becoming citizens. We’ll have volunteer immigration lawyers, paralegals and interpreters on hand to help eligible permanent residents successfully fill out citizenship applications (N-400s). People who complete their application at Citizenship Day save an average of $1,000 in legal fees!
We need YOUR help getting the word out about Citizenship Day to the communities you serve! We have color posters and flyers about the event in 11 languages, feel free to take a look on the WNA Website – English, Spanish, Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Tagalog, and Ukrainian. Please request your flyers using the request form below no later than Tuesday, March 1st, and we will get your materials to you right away.
REQUEST OUTREACH MATERIALS HERE
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
Best,
Katelyn
