there are some announcements about russia on the official jworg page.
answering the 1st question, I can say, if there is need for something... perhaps it will be done sooner or later... 
I want to remind you, that the first months of the jw-broadcasting, IT WAS ONLY IN ENGLISH, ... many many brothers and sisters from different countries wanted to have the program translated in their language but they could not. 
 some brothers had seen already that need for their own county, while others were saying "the broadcasting program will never be in subtitles" .......... so what to do ?.... 
it is only after some brothers and sisters (gave much of their time and) made videos WITH SUBTITLES for their own country, and after that .... videos in other languages started appeared on the jw-broadcasting ..... 

please everyone, feel free to share news from your country. 
with the internet, all news travel faster, and am happy to see news from all over the world.

Thai Officials Using Jehovah’s Witnesses Publications To
          Address Social Issues
This year marks three years since Thai Government officials started using
publications by Jehovah’s Witnesses as part of the national initiative
to educate the public officials on how to address some key social
issues. These issues include prevention of domestic violence, effective
parenting, and improving physical and mental health.
These government’s national education initiatives are orchestrated and
implemented at over 8,700 regional Community Learning Centers that are
spread across the country. The government has also set up 11 Community
Development Learning Centers (CDLC), whose main focus is to train the
community leaders.
The director of CDLC in Nakhon Nayok province Chaiwat Saengsri, says the
goal of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is very clear and aims at helping the
people and communities get to know their Creator. This is the same goal
that CDLC has; assisting the community in raising their standards in the
quest for peace and better quality life.
Mr. Chaiwat also requested the Jehovah’s Witnesses make their
publications available during the SMART Leader seminar. This seminar
seeks to bring together 20 instructors and 100 community leaders from 28
provinces, who will receive training on community building and leadership.
The spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Thailand Anthony Petratyotin
says, “We are happy to know that community leaders are making such good
use of the Bible-based advice found in our publications. We will
continue to make our literature available to officials, along with our
primary means of distribution—our public ministry.”

Magazine article, “How to Avoid Hurtful Speech”. This article was used
to teach the community leaders on how to handle conflict in marriage
without unleashing a torrent of hurtful words whenever a conflict arises.
The publication seeks to explain why conflict in a marriage happens, and
what can be done to end it without necessarily using words that will end
up hurting the spouse. Some of the suggested ways to avoid using hurtful
words include showing empathy, being respectful, reviving the feeling
the couple once shared, avoiding verbal attacks, postponing a discussion
when tempers begin to flare.
Another article, “An End to Domestic Violence

helps the participants in dealing with domestic violence by
understanding the prevalence of domestic violence cases, why this
happens, and what can be done to stop it.
The publication offers practical advice that can help violent spouses
change their behavior. The education has helped many spouses replace
violence with kindness and respect. Violent spouses learn how to treat
their better half, and eventually become witnesses that domestic
violence can stop.
The publication teaches about honor, mildness, and self-control, and
condemns abusive speech in marriage.

Do you appreciate what Jehovah has done for you? Then it would be fitting to dedicate your life to Jehovah and get baptized. Remember, dedication involves a solemn promise to Jehovah to do his will forever, no matter what happens. Should you be afraid to make such a commitment? Not at all! Bear in mind that Jehovah has your best interests at heart, and he is “the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.” (Heb. 11:6) Dedicating yourself to Jehovah and getting baptized do not make your life worse. On the contrary, serving Jehovah will make your life better. How different Jehovah is from Satan, whose interest in you is only selfish! Satan offers no lasting reward to those who side with him. As Testemunhas de Jeová convidam todos a assistir a sua próxima assembleia que se realizará no Ginásio de Esportes ‘O Ronaldão’, na cidade de João Pessoa, PB.
O tema deste ano será “Não perca seu amor por Jeová”.

O evento será realizado em duas edições de mesmo conteúdo, dias 8 e 9 de abril (sábado e domingo). As sessões começarão às 9h40 da manhã em ambos os dias de assembleia.
A entrada é grátis. Os eventos das Testemunhas de Jeová são financiados totalmente por donativos voluntários.
Márcio Silva, um porta-voz do evento disse: “Quando Jesus esteve na Terra, ele disse que nos últimos dias o amor da maioria das pessoas iria esfriar. (Mateus 24:3, 12) Hoje vemos o cumprimento do que Jesus disse. Muitas pessoas dão as costas para Deus e preferem confiar que os homens vão resolver os problemas do mundo. Por isso, o amor é cada vez mais raro.”
Na palestra de abertura o orador destacará as palavras bíblicas dos evangelhos de Mateus 22:37, 38 e Marcos 12:30, mostrando qual é o maior mandamento e porque é tão importante os cristãos darem atenção a este assunto.
Ainda na sessão da manhã haverá um discurso com o tema “Aquele que ama a Deus deve amar também o seu irmão”, com base em 1 João 4:21.
Na parte da tarde do evento teremos uma palestra que destacará como os pais podem ensinar seus filhos a amar a Deus.
Um aspecto especial será a parte concludente na sessão da tarde: “Não perca o amor que tinha no princípio'”.
O programa mostrará o que fazer para não permitir que nosso amor por Deus se esfrie.
Cerca de 3.800 pessoas ao longo dos dois dias virão para assistir ao programa baseado na Bíblia.
No mundo todo, há mais de 8 milhões de Testemunhas de Jeová em mais de 118 mil congregações.

Tribunal russo julga proibição das Testemunhas de Jeová no país; acompanhe.

Segundo o governo russo, as práticas são consideradas extremistas. A audiência que teve início no dia 05 de abril, foi suspensa hoje até o próximo dia 12, às 10h00.
"As Testemunhas de Jeová violam a lei que proíbe o "extremismo" quando seus membros se recusam a receber transfusões de sangue", disse o Ministério da Justiça da Rússia nesta quinta-feira em uma audiência da Suprema Corte sobre a questão da proibição do grupo religioso no país. O ministério acrescentou que se a organização for proscrita, seus membros poderiam ser processados individualmente pelo extremismo.
Os seguidores acreditam que a Bíblia proíbe a ingestão de sangue e assim se recusam a permitir transfusões de sangue ou doações. Numa sessão do Supremo Tribunal na última quinta-feira, um porta-voz do Ministério da Justiça argumentou que a posição significava que a organização violou a lei anti-extremismo que foi aprovada após a segunda guerra da Rússia na Chechênia em 1999 e 2000 e os ataques terroristas de 11 de setembro de 2001 nos Estados Unidos.
O grupo tinha sido advertido em março de 2016 de que poderia ser banido se mais evidências do suposto extremismo fossem encontradas nos 12 meses seguintes. "A organização religiosa Testemunhas de Jeová tem sido repetidamente avisada pelos tribunais, mas não tomou medidas necessárias para eliminar as violações", disse a porta-voz do Ministério da Justiça.
Representantes das Testemunhas de Jeová negaram firmemente as acusações contra eles, argumentando que "o extremismo é profundamente estranho às crenças e moralidade baseadas na Bíblia" dos membros da fé.  A Comissão dos Estados Unidos para a Liberdade Religiosa Internacional (USCIRF) disse na quarta-feira que a decisão do Ministério da Justiça "reflete a tendência do governo russo de considerar todas as atividades religiosas independentes como uma ameaça ao seu controle e a estabilidade política do país".
  O grupo foi fundado nos Estados Unidos no final do século 19, e durante o reinado de terror de Joseph Stalin na União Soviética, foi proibido e milhares de membros foram deportados para a Sibéria. Outros grupos cristãos também foram perseguidos. Quando a União Soviética entrou em colapso, houve um ressurgimento do cristianismo na Rússia e a proibição das Testemunhas de Jeová foi levantada em 1991.
Entenda o caso:
O Centro de Direção das Testemunhas de Jeová na Rússia foi incluído na lista de organizações não governamentais e religiosas que foram suspensas por extremismo, informação dada através de um comunicado do Ministério. A organização é acusada em todos os processos de espalhar pelo país literatura religiosa de caráter extremista.
Ivan Belenko, porta-voz das Testemunhas de Jeová na Rússia, fez uma denuncia à Agência Efe de que esta decisão vai contra o direito à liberdade ao culto dos mais de 175 mil seguidores da comunidade no país. "Todas as decisões judiciais contra nós se baseiam em uma única acusação: que alguns de nossos livros e discursos estão na lista de literatura extremista que existe neste país", explicou Belenko.
O porta-voz ainda explicou que, a inclusão de algumas literaturas da organização na lista negra "foram tomadas com base em opiniões de falsos especialistas e sentenças judiciais ditadas às costas dos crentes".

Das russische Justizministerium will die Arbeit des Verwaltungszentrums der Religionsgemeinschaft „Zeugen Jehovas“ wegen extremistischer Tätigkeit einstellen. Die Organisation bestreitet dies und hält sich selbst nun für ein Opfer.
Russlands Justizministerium hat am 17. März 2017 Klage gegen die „Zeugen Jehovas“ eingereicht. Nach einer Untersuchung zwischen dem 8. und 27. Februar wurde demnach festgestellt, dass die „Zeugen“ gegen das russische Anti-Extremisten-Gesetz verstießen. 95 Bücher der Gemeinschaft sowie ihre acht Abteilungen wurden demnach als extremistisch eingestuft. Am 23. März wurde die Tätigkeit der Organisation eingestellt. Das Justizministerium fordert nicht nur die Einstellung der Gemeinschaft sondern ihre komplette Auflösung.
„Das Verwaltungszentrum der ,Zeugen Jehovasʻ in Russland ist die Hauptorganisation, die alle Filialen in Russland kontrolliert. Diese religiöse Organisation hat regelmäßig Probleme mit dem Gesetz in Russland, von Gerichtsentscheidungen über das Tätigkeitsverbot und die Liquidierung der Abteilungen bis hin zu Strafen für das Aufbewahren von extremistischen Materialien“, hieß es aus dem Justizministerium.
Die „Zeugen Jehovas“ reichten Medienberichten zufolge am Mittwoch Gegenklage ein. Sie hielten das Verbot des Justizministeriums für unrechtmäßig und fordern, die Organisation als Opfer politischer Repressionen anzuerkennen.
„Falls der Klage stattgegeben wird, führt das zu katastrophalen Konsequenzen für die Konfessionsfreiheit in Russland. Dies wird direkt etwa 400 registrierte örtliche Organisationen der ,Zeugen Jehovasʻ und alle 2229 religiösen Gruppen im ganzen Land betreffen, die 175.000 Nachfolger vereinigen“, verlautete es von der Gemeinschaft.
Das Oberste Gericht Russlands lehnte laut den jüngsten Medienberichten jedoch eine Prüfung der Gegenklage ab.
Die „Zeugen Jehovas“ sind eine christliche, chiliastisch ausgerichtete und nichttrinitarische Religionsgemeinschaft. Sie bezeichnen ihre innere Verfassung als „theokratische Organisation“, die derzeit aus über sieben Millionen Mitgliedern bestehe. Der Sitz befindet sich in New York. Die „Zeugen Jehovas“ sind durch ihre ausgeprägte Missionstätigkeit, ihre Ablehnung von Bluttransfusionen, das Nichtbegehen aller christlichen Feier- und Festtage außer dem Abendmahl und das Nichtfeiern von Geburtstagen bekannt.
