Question: today in Russia and in the countries of the former Soviet Union there is harassment against a group of Christians, Jehovah's witnesses.
For example, in Azerbaijan there are even "prisoners of conscience" who are arrested for their religious beliefs. These representatives of a small group of Christians are also being persecuted in Russia.
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation banned this organization. Do you think it is necessary to talk about the safety of Christians in the middle east and also to mention the persecution of this group in Russia and in the countries of the former Soviet Union?
Sergei Lavrov's reply: with regard to Jehovah's witnesses, the activities of organizations calling for their supporters to openly violate Russian laws are banned in Russia. NEWS - THE SESTROTESK DISTRICT  COURT LEGALISES THE  SEIZURE OF   PROPERTIES OF JEHOVAH'S  WITNESSES  IN RUSSIA. 
As a result of a 4-hour meeting on December 7,2017, the court, presided over by Judge Bogdanova, satisfied the prosecutor's request with the tacit agreement of the representative of Rosreestr to confiscate the bethel property. The property  is a  large complex of real estate in St. Petersburg , "The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania."
The issue deals with 14 buildings of 33,000 square meters, located on ten hectares of improved land in the village of Solnechnoe in the Kurort district of St. Petersburg.The property is valued about 800 million rubies 
 This complex has been openly owned since 2000 by the "Watchtower Society," an association that has been active since 1884 serving the interests of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout the world.
The Russian federation did not finance the construction of the complex. An abandoned Pioneers' camp was acquired on a commercial basis by Jehovah's Witnesses from a Russian enterprise. The ownership rights to the aforesaid complex, belonging to the "Watchtower Society," were officially registered by appropriate agencies of the Russian federation and for a space of 17 years nobody has challenged them. In these years, the "Watchtower Society," as owner of the real estate, transferred to the Russian budget tens of millions of rubles in the form of taxes.
However, the Russian publication believes Russia will inevitably face lawsuit and pay for the confiscated Bethel property, and the total amount of the compensation may far exceed the property cost. Thus, reporters believe that Russia made a generous gift to Jehovah's Witnesses. He also believes Witnesses will go to not only European but also American courts, and a diplomatic scandal is guaranteed.
It is shocking that even top Russian officials can lie in a brazen and unblushing way.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that Jehovah's witnesses do not obey Russian laws and teaches its members to do the same. He said : "As for Jehovah's Witnesses, in Russia all organizations that call their supporters to openly violate Russian laws are prohibited. This is exactly what the sect did. They were warned, but failed to hear and continued involving their members in anti-Constitutional activity. There are no questions here."
This is one of the officials whom many Witnesses across the world sent their letters.

Sad News in Honduras ~

Curfew have been enforced due to the anger of the population following the recent presidential election.
There have also been  damage and looting.

Run fast! – Time is Running Out! – ????????????????????????? For Those Loving Jehovah, “There Is No Stumbling Block”
“Abundant peace belongs to those loving your law, and for them there is no stumbling block.”—PSALM 119:165.
Living as a Christian is like being in a race. It is a race for everlasting life. We should not let anything stop us from running this race. It is not a short race in which a person has to run as fast as possible to win. And it is not like a jog in which a person runs slowly and sometimes even stops.
Instead, it is like a marathon. A marathon runner has to have endurance to keep running all the way to the end. The apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Corinth: “Do you not know that the runners in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may attain it.”—1 Corinthians 9:24.
It is not easy to run the race for everlasting life. Jesus Christ ran it without ever stumbling, but none of us can do that. James said that “we all stumble many times.” (James 3:2)
Our imperfections or the imperfections of others can make us slow down in the race or even stop for a while. If this happens, we might need help to get back in the race. We should not be surprised if we stumble from time to time.—1 Kings 8:46.
The Bible shows that we have to run the race all the way to the finish if we want the prize of everlasting life. As we run, Jehovah will give us “abundant peace.” (Psalm 119:165)
He will continue to help us now and will give us everlasting blessings if we finish the race.—James 1:12. -

Our brother Dennis Christensen, imprisoned in a Russian jail since May 2017 awaiting trial, has been sentenced to another 3 months, so he must be locked up in difficult conditions until 23 February 2018. He can then be sentenced to several more years.
Judge Andrei Tretyakov during the 3-hour hearing did not satisfy the defense's request to replace the preventive measure in a softer one, such as house arrest. In addition, the court did not take into account the formal guarantees of the Royal Danish Embassy (the brother is a Danish citizen) who, for humanitarian reasons, has given assurances that he does not provide a new passport for Christensen captured by the investigators and is not going to Promote your trip outside the Russian Federation.
Dennis Christensen is completely innocent.

John was one of the three disciples most familiar with Jesus. Peter, James and John were taken by him to the mountain of transformation.-Mt 17: 1, 2, Mar 9: 2, Luk 9:28, 29. They were the only apostles who were allowed to go with him to the house of Jairus (Mark 5:37, Luke 8:51).
On the night that Jesus was betrayed, they allowed him to go further into the garden of Gethsemane than the others, although they did not realize the full significance of the event, for they fell asleep three times and had to be awakened by Jesus.

Do Not Let Illness Rob You of Joy ~ ! ?
"Every breathing thing—let it praise Jah.
Praise Jah!" (Ps. 150:6) 
PICTURE yourself waking up wishing that the day would end before it has even begun. You have to cope with physical or emotional pain yet another day. You may even feel like Job, who said: “I would prefer death to all my sufferings.” (Job 7:15, The New English Bible)
What if such a condition persists, even for years?
We should avoid thinking that a personal affliction is evidence of God’s displeasure. (Lam. 3:33) Think of what Job had to go through despite being “blameless and upright.” (Job 1:8) God does not try anyone with evil things. (Jas. 1:13) All illnesses—including the chronic and the emotional—are a dismal legacy from our first parents, Adam and Eve.—Rom. 5:12
Jehovah and Jesus, however, will not leave the righteous ones without help. (Ps. 34:15) Especially at difficult moments in our lives, we come to appreciate that God is ‘our refuge and our stronghold.’ (Ps. 91:2)
So, then, when coping with conditions that have no easy solution, what can help you to maintain joy?
Prayer: Following the pattern of God’s faithful servants of old, you can throw your burden on our heavenly Father in prayer. (Ps. 55:22) In doing so, you can experience “the peace of God that excels all thought.” That inner peace “will guard your hearts and your mental powers.” (Phil. 4:6, 7).
Be positive: The key to coping with chronic illness without losing joy is often in your own hands. A gloomy disposition and despondent feelings can lead to negative thinking. The Bible states: “The spirit of a man can put up with his malady; but as for a stricken spirit, who can bear it?”—Prov. 18:14
Keep in mind that Jehovah carefully notes your endurance. He feels for you in your suffering and cares for you. He will not “forget your work and the love you showed for his name.” (Heb. 6:10) Take to heart the promise he makes to all who fear him: “I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you.”—Heb. 13:5.
If on occasion you do feel down, focus on the wonderful hope of living in the new world. The time is fast approaching when your own eyes will see on the earth the blessings of God’s Kingdom!

About 40 miles northwest of a bustling New York City, a 45-acre complex sits on a quiet lake in Warwick, New York.
"Our main purpose is not to convert, but to give people the opportunity to see what the Bible says," said Bryce Hemmelgarn, a spokesman for Jehovah's Witnesses.
The new world headquarters, which opened last year, houses approximately 800 Jehovah's Witnesses, who are volunteers who live, eat and work here.
"I work here during the day, but most people work from 8 to 5, too, I can go shopping on weekends if I want," said Iliana Markopoulos, 25, a computer programmer for the organization. "I can do what any normal person can do, I just have the great opportunity to live and work very close to each other."
"It is primarily a religion, it is our faith, we identify ourselves as Christians, we hope that Jesus will establish the pattern as his form of worship," said Hemmelgarn.
The main difference is that they believe that Jehovah is the Name of their God and Creator. It's also the way they reach out, knocking on doors and talking to anyone who wants to listen.
Brooklyn was its base of operations for more than 100 years; 60 of those years inside the emblematic building of the Watchtower in Brooklyn Heights. When they arrived in Warwick to build, the group tried to impact as little as possible in the natural environment.
"We planted green roofs in each of our buildings, we implemented rainwater and stormwater control to eliminate or conserve the amount of runoff from the rain that would affect the environment," said Ted Hoffman, facility manager. "We install lighting controls, controls that also manage the amount of water we use."
In their new home, Jehovah's Witnesses plan to continue spreading their beliefs and encouraging others to understand their religion a little better. Around 8 million people practice religion around the world.
