There are various genres in the film industry. In this video, there are several genres in one. I think, did not watch the whole video, just some parts. As they wait for the "end," these JW people in the video recall some or many moments from their past. In which they have shown their attitude and resisted temptations, remaining faithful to their principle and so on. Some say that human whole life flashes before the eyes of those who are faced with death. These people in the video are faced with death. It is funny that hundreds of soldiers surround the twenty civilians in the clearing, on the meadow. Strange military tactics or bad estimates of the commander of the army. Or is it as the WT literature says: "All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether those appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not." Seems how similar instructions existing in army camp too :))))) The movies exist to make us emotional. And that is ok. It not surprised me how convention people have tears when looks video. All people expecting some spectacular outcome, for movie characters or for those/us who watching. Because while sitting and looking movie we have projections. We identify with characters, with the main actor, with events. In this video, the director and producer put a couple of comparative main characters. So there is something for everyone. For the old and the young, single and married, for rich and poor .... We are beings who love fantasy and imagination. Of all kinds. In one moment when i was in prison for neutrality i had imagination too. That wall of jail would broken down as in Jericho and i will walk away :)))) and that was before some 40 years. And walls of that prison still standing and receiving "guests". It will be nice that God making revolution and "neutralizes" all who are "bad" and those who are not so "bad" (but who are not "good enough"). And new society will growing. And same or similar problem will growing too. Because that is the nature of human, perfect or imperfect not matter. Just opinion :))

If people like/want to be neutral and objectively, then both side in some disagreement must accept Court decision, no matter is such gave favor to left or right side of a bench. So, when Court decide in favor for JW, all JW community is very happy and interpret decision how JHVH intervene and protect His people. whereas if we tell someone that God speaks to us ....perhaps because people (in or out of JWorg) have not faith that this is possible. Or people are smart enough to not believe in such claims if someone would say how that happened to him. This very interesting thought you present, remind me on similar "problem" for faith, for spiritual life of believers. Miracles mentioned in Bible. People was cured from sickness, resurrected, been feed with food and drink from nowhere, saved from evil, from illness, from the enemy, from natural and unnatural catastrophe .... And today believers are sure that "miracles" was been possible in past, in far past - NOT TODAY - because WT explain how miracles ended in one particular moment of one particular day in one particular year in the 1st Century. That was the time, age of last seen miraculous works caused by God. All other that happened after, later was demonic acts or fraud. And today you are left in conviction how divine miracles are belong in the long past and will be in some distance day in the future. No one knows when in future. Close future or far future? It doesn't matter. In a future, BUT NOT TODAY. Past time - yes. Future time - yes. Today - no. It can not be today, because God will is to not doing miracles today but in the future ...and in the past. But not today. Today, what You need is faith. And that is miracle. Your faith is Miracle. Not physical demonstration of some supernatural effect. Only Faith you got, you have. And as You gave interesting example with "communication issue" (between people and God) that can be problem even among, inside the same group of same religion who are connected in so called religious unity and worship one God JHVH. If some JW member ever come to idea how God answered on his pray with Divine Voice that would be miracle. With what result? ....will be perceived as bat crap crazy? To avoid such effect, members will wrap, envelop, pack God's response to them, to such forms/formats that are socially acceptable within the organization (read or listen to life experience in magazines or conventions giving illustration for what i said) Here said, not reflects the author's point of view.... just freedom of thinking. :)))))

WT teaching said that JW members must avoid any kind of contact with ex JW. Even with family members, especially if they are not living under same roof. For those family members who do living under same roof WT give instruction "how family ties continue" (this is ridiculous, isn't???:))))))) but "faithful JW family members will not talking about "spiritual things" with unfaithful (DF or DA family member), because Bible said so. And now we have irony situation in Bible events. God and Jesus have spoke with DF/DA angel aka devil. And it was not everyday small talking ("because family ties continue" :))) again ) but they are talking about very important spiritual things. About Job (brother in faith and his situation) or about some Bible principles and verses (Jesus and devil in dessert). Well, is there something that makes people feel confused on issue of "shunning" ?? I suppose how some answers on this we can found in fact that WT are organized to have own, separate, independent "judicial" system based on some other kind of "law". WT judicial system and law is creation of mixed OT and NT examples, rules, commands. Elders are viewed as "judges", because WT gave them to be in such position, as "princes" of future NW system and as such have all rights to rule over members today. All matters, testimonies, statements, evidences, counter-findings, etc. must be presented to them, for to be able to make a judgment, a decision. According to that premise about elders role and in fact (WT) parallel christian judicial system vs. secular judicial system , they should not rely on processes that have, that took by "worldly people" (because they are "unreliable"), secular authorities and their investigations or even their courts that reached a verdict (acquitting or convicting). All should be confirmed or denied in the "court of the saints". :))

As far as I know, GB is not against voting, as the principle by which decisions are made, have to make. But GB uses this "democratic principle" of making a decision, about something that is tailored to the/by "majority", in a way that have "higher meaning", "sacred goal". There are several levels where decisions are made by this "democratic means", by voting. It is at GB level. At the director level of certain departments. At the elders level. At assembly level. Less important items are often put to the vote in front of the assembly (rank and file members). Of course, the elders presents something in such a way that membership is moved to vote in according to a decision already in line by the elders (or some higher then elders), and only formal confirmation is required/made through voting and resolution. Making decisions within an organization is actually a matter of how "politics" is carried out by those who are high in the hierarchy. Thus, within the religion is not carried out "political politics", but "religious politics". :))) Perhaps it would be better to "throw a cube" (throwing dice, stone, beans or what ever else), as this kind can reduces the impact of human, of various clans and streams within a group. In fact there is a biblical precedent that would allow such way, how to run a "corporate governance" policy (in religious, financial and other matters). It is primitive, demode ( démodé ), old fashion way but gives a lot of fun.

As is others, this is no surprise to anyone. What you should have also mentioned is that those chosen and or destined for Priesthood, the fruits after Jesus, are chosen, not self-chosen and it is known by those, as some would say, are invited by God. It would be nice that human change life style and system to such level that "sitting time" be time for rest, for fun, for not to be in hurry, for learning something new, for introduce new people ... looks like i am not belonging to digital era :))))

I disagree. Jesus "framework" is/are interpreted many times by many people or organizations as how they see how would Jesus do this or that. So when you put quote that sound so final and as definitive diagnosis; " the Watchtower has the same framework as Jesus did", i must be careful, alert :)))) Not forget how same WT using phrases (when they explaining GB doctrines) as "Jesus must be thinking this or that, he obviously mean this or that. So, please do not call for Jesus authority when promote own or GB ideas :))

My opinion is not of some importance now. It is more important how WT define it and how some of people who participate in this forum as WT defender, are not in harmony /unity, obeying) what GB told them, instructing and teaching. Let see what i found in JW publications. Politicians, activists, and reformers have long struggled to find solutions to divisive issues. Their efforts may be sincere and well-motivated. so called "SIFTING", very popular terminology in one period of organization used to explain described phenomenon and some other situation when Company caused mass (in greater or less numerous scale) disapproval of some parts of members. excellent observation! ohh yes, in fact so many informative ideas and interpretations and double, triple time/way of fulfillment. So complicated to understand what in fact author want to teach. Pictures, parables, yesterday, today, tomorrow, transmitted meaning and true meaning ....In fact not understandable, only way is to learn by memorization and repeat the text ... and play that you understand :))))))) It is also written in some apocrypha :))))))) A generation of JW and those who will be JW goes and next generation of JW and those who will be JW comes, But the earth remains forever.

By point 3a in particular group (WT JWorg) exist also political activities that is focused on events within society (members) and on other side how this religious group have to deal whit person outside of WT society (WT as Company and JW as religious body of members) In general use inside JW members, word "politics" are clearly viewed, i believe, as activity that is specific mainly or most for politicians and government that lead some country. JW members, in general, don't see how would even word "politic" be something that can be used in vocabulary of WTBT Society or JW congregations for internal affairs. This word sounds to much worldly to JW members, like sort of blasphemy. Even among ordinary people in society (non JW) word "politics" have mainly negative connotations, especially when they looking how politicians acting.

Of course, letter writing has nothing to do with a political agenda. Heh, JW letters was addressed to Russian Government, Mr Putin, Medvedev and all other political characters that are in "position to changed" Court decisions. So, how can you considered that as Neutral colored letters? When involved at least two parts of governing, political and judicial power. What JW consider as it is more powerful? 8 000 000 x i do not how many prayers in the day to JHVH ... or 8 000 000 letters of pray to Putin and Medvedev who "serve to Gods enemy, devil"? :))))

These particular titles, along with "Mother" and "Father", are commonly used by religious orders." - it looks strange that brothers in Russia branch put accent on religious status of their brethren/brothers in Lord Jesus in another branch even if that is headquarter office. Is that sort of men worshiping? Idolatry? I can understand if we honoring our friend, brother, wife in front of strangers or in some sort of official business, in public, on street, in work place or similar situation. But this is in article for JW members ,in first place, for worldwide brotherhood. The application was registered on 21 September 1995 under file No. 28626/95. 2. The applicant association was represented by MM Alain Garay and Philippe Goni, lawyers practising in Paris. 3. The Government of Bulgaria were represented by their Agent, Mrs Guenka Beleva and, subsequently, by Mr Vladimir Sotirov of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Mrs Violina Djidjeva, co-agent. 4. On 3 July 1997 the Commission declared the application admissible. It then proceeded to carry out its task under Article 28 para. 1 of the Convention which provides as follows: "In the event of the Commission accepting a petition referred to it: a. it shall, with a view to ascertaining the facts, undertake together with the representatives of the parties an examination of the petition and, if need be, an investigation, for the effective conduct of which the States concerned shall furnish all necessary facilities, after an exchange of views with the Commission; b. it shall at the same time place itself at the disposal of the parties concerned with a view to securing a friendly settlement of the matter on the basis of respect for Human Rights as defined in this Convention." 5.
