If we want to include the biblical text in a possible answer to this dilemma, then based on the experience of people who "received HS" in the period covered by the Bible, we could come up with elements, indicators of what a person receiving HS looks like, how a person receiving HS behaves and what effects, actions in relation to people and the environment does a person who gets HS have.
Should we read together the Bible passages that describe the HS and the people of Bible time, in order to come to the answer?
Which biblical persons with the power, gift of HS can we compare with a member of GB??
And vice versa,
Which member of GB can we compare to a biblical person who acts under the power, gift of HS??

i suspect about half of the convicted “apostates” are really “double agents”, serving Jehovah’s best interests while wearing the scarlet letter “A”, to precipitate important reform that is sorely needed.
THE classic example is the 2016-2017 apostate generated Watchtower Parody on beards, in which EVERYTHING STATED was 100% true, and diametrically opposed to the teachings and practices of the Society and the Governing Body, and the practices of the global congregations’ body of elders, with VERY few exceptions.
In March of 2024, the Governing Body caved in and recognised officially as true all the apostate points in that 2016-2017 apostate Watchtower parody.

Is there a personal desire to know the victim and show compassion? She is "Client" in GJ's eyes. Not one of "Jesus' sheep, one of the least", one of child in KH who went through horrors ?
GJ's statement was given in court because of the publicity and because of questions from lawyers and the court. The GJ statement was "given under pressure" from the public and the process. Should we consider it a deep feeling from the heart and conscience? We are not naive, if others are.

What Watchtower policies and procedures have improved since then?
The Society has even hired outside legal teams ( … guessing at about $3,500 an hour) because THEIR in-house legal team does not have the competencies to defend their positions, which has not changed in NINE YEARS.

I get the impression, from the comments, that religions like Catholic and JW are under attack from the secular government. So it's as if you're denying the reality of pedophilia within church structures, about which the atheistic-satanic structure is planting false information, slander. You don't mean it? Or? It is biased to say that some categories of people are more susceptible to disloyalty than others. To say that women are susceptible to the influence of deception and their own wrong feelings means that men are not, because that is your stated claim, it only speaks in favor of your bias. That way you lose originality and credibility. You are drowned in a mass of people who think like you. The kind of people who will never contribute to progress, but to enslavement by already seen stale prejudices.

…. reminds me of three negro elders at the congregation I attended were talking about politics after a meeting, and I walked up and mentioned to them some stupid thing Obama did, and one of the elders absolutely BLEW UP, that I would DARE speak despairingly of Barak Hussein Obama!! The instantaneous and intense defense truly surprised me.
I concluded he was a “closet democrat”, as     many JWs are, as I was disappointed to learn over time.
Very sad.  Very, very sad.
I had the Elders confront me en banc when they learned I was a registered Republican, and I replied that in Finland Jehovah’s Witnesses are allowed to vote without any congregational sanctions whatsoever, and I was merely going by the rules Jehovah’s Witnesses go by in Finland.
They were stunned and made no further inquiry, so I got up and left.
I suspect, and it is just a guess, Georgie that you too, are a negro “closet democrat”.
