I think we have argument in Bible report about last night when Jesus said this:
36 He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. 37 It is written: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors’[b]; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.”
38 The disciples said, “See, Lord, here are two swords.”
“That’s enough!” he replied.

With humans ... there is truly INFINITE VARIETY of what one thing leads to another.
.... there are people that read the Bible, and that causes THEM to become mass murderers.

I have read scholarly real life studies on human sexuality spanning decades of research, in big thick bound volumes, some I have here in my personal Library ... that somewhere around 95% of all men masturbate, and 80% of all women masturbate. 
100% of all men and women masticate, consumate, defecate, urinate, expectorate, perspirate, and exfoliate.
(That means chew, eat, poop, pee, spit, sweat and shed skin ... for those in Rio Linda...)
Men ejaculate and women menstruate.

Presumably, all these things have occurred since the beginning of humans on Earth ... and in fact all sexually reproducing animals on Earth ... for MILLIONS ... even BILLIONS  of years.
You might think that if Jehovah cared about such things as men and women masturbating he would have mentioned it AT LEAST ONCE in the Bible.
... actually, God did have an opinion about it ONE time, in one specific instance, specifically concerning Onan.
Other than that ... zero...zip... nada.... goose eggs.

Sometimes, as part of out cultural upbringing, and our particular proclivities, we come to believe, to our very souls ... to our bones ... things that God has NO stated opinion on.
Cannibalism is one of those things ... which we consider ABHORRENT, which is a natural reaction for some, and as for an example, the Early Hawaiians, not so much.
They ate their slain enemies as a matter of convenience.  Presumably they bled to death ... and they ate them.
Jehovah ALSO never prohibited cannibalism, but he does prohibit eating blood.
Nowhere in the Bible has Jehovah spoken against what for approximately 90% of the planet's human population is a common human practice ... and always has been.
There are good Biblical Detectives ... and there are bad Biblical Detectives .   Bad ones don't detect much, and always get it wrong.

Is the Watchtower "right with God"?  I see only darkness emanating from the Watchtower, its leaders, and its choice to ignore their own sins. 
 
 
 

People give their life for family.
People give their life for members of their community and or faith.
Some people give their lives for a dog or cat they care about because the animal is of the family, sometimes it is the animal themselves who save the owner.
People give their life to defend their serve to God, even for God if met with a situation, for they believe their name is in the book of Life and God will bring them back.
So it is no surprise that a Christian who give his or her life for another Christian.
I recall a story back then a little boy gave his life to stop a bomb from going off killing people close to him, hie Father, family and friends consider him a hero. Another young one who gave his life to stop those close to him from being killed by an out of control car, and he was very very young, I believe between the ages 5-7, for if it was not for him, those close to him would also be dead, and he is deemed as a hero.
And there are many, many examples.

I understand everything you say. Don't get me wrong, I was never agreeing with this video, in fact I think it's one of the worst videos WT has ever made. What I was doing was refuting what someone said, about love being switched on and off. It isn't. The love is still there, and a lot of heartache for the parents who believe this is the right thing to do for the benefit of their child. 
Like you say, no situation is the same. I have reasons to believe the scenario in the video was based on actual events. I know of a very similar one myself. However, as you say, this video does not take into account any other circumstances that could happen in real life. For that reason  I think it is a dangerous video, especially for someone who  is bound to do things unquestioningly. I am hoping most parents who know their child well, and who are in a similar circumstance, will know how to act so that a tragedy does not happen.

I have seen Witnesses who were told by the person to be disfellowshipped that it would happen next week, try to get in as much time as they could with that person until the announcement was made ... THEN ... they "ceased to exist".

It's a choice. I have never known friends who were that steadfast about not speaking with a disfellowshipped family member, but some who take the admonition to speak with disfellowshipped family about family business to the extreme. To the point of using the disfellowshipped person (who was out living on their own) as a babysitter for their younger children. Like all things one needs to be balanced. 
For my part we allowed our two daughters to stay at home for the simple reason we believed that kicking them out would have resulted in far more harm. My choice. Consequently I have not served in a congregation for about 10 years; but, my daughters are not living on the street subject to all the dangers and problems of that environment and know that they have a safe place to stay. They are family and that is exactly what I told the elders.  

We were told communication  with family  members was fine. Just not on spiritual matters

General idea of going throughout personal inside trouble of mind and soul as cure is acceptable. General idea how society, people around such person, family or some group have role in this is also acceptable. General idea how some methods in this process are necessary, identical in approach, painful for all involved are also acceptable. 
But because every person is unique, and how similar stuff they going through is not the same stuff in everyone life, has specific details for every one in particular, people who "helping" need to adapt their approach and methods to each case in a special way.
WT scenario in video made "special effects", because The Company determined for each actor what to play and why he/she would have such words, feelings and thoughts and such reaction/interaction. In video case daughter, allegedly, need family surroundings and/or just parents voice "and this small dose will satisfy her"!!
What if she had been in need for more then a "small dose"?!. Some persons fall in desperation, is suicidal emotions. What if daughter made suicide after unanswered call?? Because this can be very real Life scenario that WT want to escape for manipulative reasons on convention's public. What would parents, and mother especially, who not want to respond on phone,  think of WT helping methods "for the greater and long term benefit of a person" after funeral of their daughter?? 

I had already knows this application with/to  Samaritan. My questions was  for those who forget what is answer :))
