Not all blind ones have come close to "the elephant in the room", but some of them have. Sometimes it's just a slightly different perspective of the same thing.

At the end of the day, when the blindfolds are removed, they'll all see "the elephant in the room" for what it really is.

"Who is blind except my servant,
So deaf as the messenger I send?
Who is so blind as the one rewarded,
So blind as the servant of Jehovah?"

    (Isaiah 42:19)

"And he took the blind man by the hand...he laid his hands on him and asked him: “Do you see anything?”  The man looked up and said: “I see people, but they look like trees walking about.”  Again he laid his hands on the man’s eyes, and the man saw clearly. His sight was restored, and he could see everything distinctly."

    (Mark 8:23-25)

"Jehovah will go out like a mighty man.
He will awaken his zeal like a warrior.
    He will shout, yes, he will let out a war cry;
He will show himself mightier than his enemies.
“I have kept quiet for a long time.
I remained silent and restrained myself.
Like a woman giving birth, I will groan, pant, and gasp all at once.
I will devastate mountains and hills
And dry up all their vegetation.
I will turn rivers into islands
And dry up reedy pools of water.
I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know
And cause them to tread on unfamiliar paths.
I will turn the darkness before them into light
And turn the rugged terrain into level land.
This is what I will do for them, and I will not abandon them.”"

    (Isaiah 32:13-16)

Jesus has his work cut out for him when he gets here! 🙂 There are a lot of "false truths" and more "roots of false religion" all over the place in the organization! Just like there are truths to be found outside the organization. Lots of cleaning and gathering for Jesus to do. Thank God he's qualified.☺️

The perception of the author of the video is that the JW religion originated from the Adventist movement. JWs consider Adventism to be a "false religion." But that is just the perception of JW members.
The author of the video, if I listened correctly, does not claim which religion is false and which is true. You Sir set your perception that Russell was under the influence of a "false religion" until YHVH "enlightened" his mind to found a new religion which has since become "the only true one", according to the perception of JW members of course.
The comment you made includes your perception. You answered my questions according to your perception, too. Why should I open a new topic?
Another comment about "forbidding" and "allowing" Russell to see the truth. JWs have a doctrine where they claim that YHVH "allows" all evil to happen. According to this thesis, it was God, not "false religion", that made it possible for Russell not to see "the truth". In his spiritual darkness, Russell rebelled against the established religious system. But this does not mean that all the roots of "false religion" have been cut off.
By the same or a similar method, Rutherford made changes after Russell, but just like his predecessor he created new "false truths". How would Rutherford's successors be different?
The thesis that YHVH allows darkness, even over WTJWorg, is still valid, right?

The answer should be given, who forbade him to have "understanding" from birth to about eighteen/twenty years of his life? Then, who gave him permission to have "understanding" from that moment on? Finally, is his understanding completely correct and accurate?

When troubles come, the counsel in the movie is to obey the branch direction even if you don't understand.
They say that Jehovah will save you if you obey the branch no matter what, and there is fear instilled by certain scenes in the movie, to motivate by means of fear rather than love, that if you don't obey the branch direction, you will probably die.
The truth is that we need to obey Jehovah. Jehovah's direction is what will save us.
When people obey the branch without thinking and meditating on God's Word and comparing the direction of men with Jehovah's direction, well, it doesn't always work out well. Like what happened in Malawi.

It's easy to look back and say, "oh, it's not the Watchtower's fault the Malawi government was so mean."
But what if it's your kids next week when the branch sends direction that is in opposition to God's Word. Or when the branch sends direction that is based on a flawed understanding of scripture. Or a misapplication of scripture. Now what?

Jehovah has allowed kings in the past to make mistakes. He has allowed the people to follow those kings. Sometimes there were individuals who clung to Jehovah even when the leaders were not obeying Jehovah.

Jehovah is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and truth.

Daniel was not neutral according to the present definition in the organization. He petitioned the king to save the lives of the wise men. That was a social issue.

Mordecai and Esther were definitely not neutral. They petitioned the king on social issues and desired to get someone else out of office.

Joseph was involved in issues dealing with hunger, you could say it was his campaign against hunger.

Being "no part of the world" doesn't mean "being neutral to social issues."

GB/Bethel teaches that "being no part of the world" has to do with something called "Neutrality".

The word "Neutrality" is not found anywhere in the NWT.

What do the scriptures say regarding the "world"?

"If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you."

The men who Jesus was talking to in that conversation, those who were chosen out of the world, were not formerly politicians. They did not vote. They did not have a political party card. So why would "being taken out of the world" mean not voting, not being a politician, or not having a political party card?

"I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. “I do not request that you take them out of the world, but that you watch over them because of the wicked one.  They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.  Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.  Just as you sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world.  And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, so that they also may be sanctified by means of truth."

What was Jehovah's word that Jesus gave them? Was Jehovah's word "don't vote" or "abstain from politics" or "be neutral in political issues"? No. Jesus didn't say those things were the word from Jehovah. What was the word from Jehovah? The command to Love. Satan hates those who show love. Satan is not loving. His world is not loving.

"Jesus answered: “My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.”"

Jesus' example shows us that it is wise to abstain from political involvement. However, the phrase "no part of this world" refers not to abstaining from the politics of the world, but to abstaining from having the attitude of the worldly ruler. The apostle John sheds more light on this in his first letter.

"Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him;  because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world.  Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever."

In context John talks about the world being in darkness. The world has a lack of love. (This isn't in the sense that the organization uses the word "worldly". People who are not Jehovah's Witnesses can have great love and affection. By "world" here it means Satan's way of doing things.) John explains that "Antichrists" were part of the arrangement of love in the congregation but went out from it, in their hearts. Such ones are part of the world in that the dominant inclination of their hearts is not loving, even if they are physically still in the literal congregation arrangement.

Being "part of the world" means doing things the way Satan would and for the reasons Satan would - for showy display, for prominence, for selfish reasons, for fleshly satisfaction at the cost of others' well-being.

John was talking, not about people that were never "Jehovah's Witnesses", so-called "worldly people". John's counsel was for those who claimed to be God's Name People but who chose to "serve" for the wrong reasons - showy display, desire of the flesh, and desire of eyes. John (and other Bible writers) were saying that there would be some in the congregation who "serve" for these wrong reasons - in effect, being part of the world of the wicked one.

"Furthermore, God made you alive, though you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience."

"The world" Jesus was talking about is not specifically politics. It doesn't have to do with "neutrality". It has to do with a lack of love.

Being "no part of the world" means doing things motivated by love, like Jesus did.

Srecko Sostar got a reaction from John 12.24to28 in By the way .... has the Society recently decided that voting is a matter of personal conscience?
As i am aware , voting as practice is not strange thing to WT Society. History tells us how voting is common way of bringing decisions and resolving problems. Until today. Elders voting on their meetings. Congregants also voting while making resolutions. So, this is not any different from what world doing. Subjects are different. But many things about "worldly" things are not in opposition to Bible. If, people who leaving in one street or area have to do something for common interest, for example, to build new water system or rebuild old one, and it is needed to collect "information" of how many people are ready to contribute with money, or who are ready to and will sign contract (to vote) for that purpose, you need to use this sort of democratic process - to vote for or against something.
I would say how JW's are not against voting inside WT Society, but are against voting in secular life. Many things exists when decision is needed, have nothing with "politics"(state or political party things), but on other hand all in our life is politic anyway.
    Definition of politic
    1: POLITICAL
2: characterized by shrewdness in managing, contriving, or dealing
3: sagacious in promoting a policy
    4: shrewdly tactful
In that sense, JW as people who know what is good and how to accomplish this same, are in position to mandatory doing good because they know doing good. If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. - James 4. JW not need to go voting for new senator, or president, but will doing good to not be so "indifferent", as they are,  in many other secular things in everyday life.
Yes, you are entitled to have such feelings. BUT Until That Time Comes, you have to care about your garbage, ecology, animals, electricity, new urbanistic planes in your place of living, safety or traffic issues in the street, etc. General standpoint of JW's about this is exactly what you called as ...  indifference.
We are actively supporting only a future government of God .... and with this sentence you presenting what i try to explain. JW's are not active in supporting ... animal shelters or shelters for beaten woman and sexual abused children, homeless ...and so on.

In general, many people don't go to vote. I am not sure but in many countries less than 50% of population that have right to vote doing that. So, all of them will be target for "hate" :)) Perhaps basement would be good place for hide from haters. :))
There is about 22 countries where voting is mandatory.

    (Article translated using Google Translate...)

"Children should not be punished like adults - but they will be within Jehovah's Witnesses

Norway's State Administration has decided a case in which it determines that children's rights are violated when Jehovah's Witnesses practice their ostracism methods, where children are exposed to negative social control and are held to account within the sixteen's own closed legal system - where they are judged as adults. But are Norwegian children different from Danes - or all other children in the world?

If you are a "recognised religious community" (Act no. 1533 of 19 December 2017 on religious communities outside the national church) in Denmark, you have a number of financial advantages regarding (property) tax and VAT. In addition, members can donate an amount that they can deduct from tax.

In Norway, brave members contacted the public authorities and described that they felt trapped and did not dare to leave the sect for fear of the personal consequences it would have. Yesterday, Norway's State Administration announced to the Jehovah's Witnesses organization that the religious freedom of the members is violated when the organization expels its members. The decision does not mean that Jehovah's Witnesses will disappear from Norway. They can still practice their religion, they just no longer get millions of tax crowns every year, and then they lose the right to perform weddings.

Already in October, Jehovah's Witnesses in Norway were warned that they were about to have their state support stopped. On the same occasion, the organization was asked whether it wanted to change its exclusionary practices so that it could continue to receive government funding. To that, the Jehovah's Witnesses organization replied no. At the same time, the organization hired a high-profile lawyer.

Jehovah's Witnesses practice what in my time within the sect was called "excommunication" and which has later been changed to "exclusion," probably to give an illusion to the public that it is not such a bad punishment.

But an exclusion is exactly the same as an ostracism. In practice, this means that you are open to your family and former friends. I have experienced it myself. I know how it works. If you walk in the street and pass someone from the sect you have known since you were a child, he must pass you by without deigning to look at you. If you try to call home to say hello to your parents, they must hang up immediately. They must have absolutely no contact with you. If the outcast shows up outside the parents' door, they must not initiate a conversation and must close the door - no matter how old the outcast is. Imagine how many outcasts either kill themselves or creep back into the cult - not to mention those who dare not leave the cult for fear of the treatment they have seen others receive.

And that is precisely why Norway has now had enough. It is inhumane to treat especially children and young people in that way. I myself was told that I myself had made the choice to be baptized and therefore also knew the consequences when I chose to leave the sect. I was baptized two weeks after my 14th birthday, had not yet had my period, had never been in love or kissed a boy – in short, I had accepted abstinence requirements I had no understanding of.

The sect strongly encourages you to be baptized as early as possible - and then you sit in the scissors. You are held accountable for your actions on equal terms with adults. I have heard of children as young as 8 who have been baptized - and judged as adults when they start asking questions or breaking the sect's rules.

There has been a citizens' proposal to deprive Jehovah's Witnesses in Denmark of their recognition as a religious community. Unfortunately, too few signed for the Danish Parliament to consider the proposal.

And that's a shame. On the one hand, Jehovah's Witnesses are immensely happy about the economic benefits that the Danish state gives them, on the other hand, such a state-supported economy is a blue stamp of the inhumane, sectarian doomsday cult's practice, which with its Gestapo methods forces the members to stab each other - with severe personal consequences for follow when he or she is expelled.

And how do Jehovah's Witnesses react to the decision in Norway? Ironically, they say that they are a persecuted minority, that their freedom of religion is challenged, that they are victims of a crusade that tries to make the lives of the witnesses as difficult as possible and pressure them to change the interpretation and practice of the Bible's message, which they of course "no way" intend to do. It is tragicomic to see how their manipulative argument magic is turned upside down.

My hope is that more European countries will look to Norway as a pioneering country - not only when it comes to financial support for Jehovah's Witnesses, but for all religious communities, cults and sect organizations that take children and young people hostage and use social control contrary to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and common sense. The state must play a greater role – especially in European, democratic countries, where we can only expect more insane religions and sects on our doorstep in the future."

However, if they CHOOSE to do as it is well documented that they do…..
