The Chosen isn't supposed to be correct to scripture. But you know that anyway. I wonder if this is just yet another dig at me.  Such a shame. 
It is about the lives of the Jewish people at that time.  
I've watched the first Series and I think it is very good. I don't want to watch Jesus being killed, i want to watch Jesus when He lived. And to see his disciples and how they interacted. 
It is totally way off from the Bible. But well worth viewing. Why ? Because whilst you are watching it your mind is concentrating on Jesus, His disciples, the Jewish way of life, the 'nasty' Romans, and the general feel of what it would have been like. 
It's a shame some folks have to dissect it. I get the sense that such ones must be rather unhappy in their lives. 

I think if you guys want to see changes, it would take several million signatures from all countries you are located in, or a massive letter writing campaign like you  did with Russia.

Kudos once again to this loving group of people in this religion. A couple stopped by to check in on my mom. I'll forgive that they didn't care about me or anyone else in the house, but at least they have a communication system to check in on the jw elderly.

Maybe someone smarter than me could put together a power point presentation on how this topic evolved from a discussion about a ludicrus power point presentation on a attempt to disprove God, evolving to a discussion about the insane theory of the overlapping generations, to the validity of the governing bodies words, value and worth..

My jw mom downloaded jw.org, and since then she has had nothing but problems.  Her password changes all the time, even though she never changed her password, but jw.org tells her she needs to change her password just to get into her computer. My brother and I are jumping through hoops to get her reconnected via loop. Has the governing body  found a way to hijack people...they do after all pay millions to lawyers, why not IT techs. Is my jw mom a victim of WTBTS? And they are asking for donations. Or do you know if someone is using the jw website to con people?

That's nice that everything turned out ok and he didn't have to murder his wife.

Do you not realise that your GB control you and your children ? And your GB treat you as THEIR property. 
If only JWs didn't just listen to their Leaders. If only they used their own Bible based conscience. 
If only JWs understood scripture. BUT NO. JWs are ruled over by the GB and the others top dogs. 
JWs won't even try to save the lives of their own children. I think that could amount to murder. 
The GB and it's MOB of rulers will have a lot of Blood to answer for when their judgement arrives. 
I refer again to Matthew 12 v 9 through 12. where Jesus said it was LAWFUL to do a FINE THING ON THE SABBATH. 
If you had a good Bible trained conscience you would understand what that means.

Here in the U.S. sons and daughters are doing the same thing. What has been really fun is kids who cannot have a birthday party, we have been doing party parades as a bunch of cars drive by the birthday child, it brings so much joy to the child's heart.

Thought they might have dropped off a food parcel to them though. There's a scripture about telling other to keep warm and well fed, but not offering any provisions to help. 
Here in UK that drive through would not have been allowed as it would have been seen as unnecessary travel and the vehicles would have been turned back. But some of our children, who are not JWs, do go shopping for us and leave it on our front doorstep. 
One thing I've noticed is that people do not have to be 'Christians' to be helping others at this time. Reminds me of a scripture about 'those without Law, doing the things of the Law'. Showing love and giving help seems to be an 'inbuilt' thing to many. It's how God created us I suppose. 

My mother who is up there in age...70's. Their congregation decided to stop meetings at the kingdom hall and forgo their assembly. The local congregation is taking steps to minimize socialization and are doing their meetings via zoom and facebook, etc.  I want to thank the brother of my mother for providing her with a brand new I-pad...wish I could afford one...but I helped her get jw.org in it and facebook and zoom to the best of my abilities. At her age she finds it extremely important to stay connected. t her jw family. I am glad the governing body decided to let individual congregations do their stuff on line. Haters and anti jw's would have people think the opposite. I am glad the jws' are being responsible. I do however wish to pray for a long time friend of our family, who are jw's and medical guardians for my mother, they themselves actually have family members who are tested positive and are on life support due to this virus.
But what I don't want to see is an article in the watchtower that says they were the only ones doing this. Throwing all other religions under the bus, throwing us family members under the bus...then running over us over and over again.

So Jesus is a JW also, so you expect he needs to go through  the watchtower for salvation, and worship the g.b.as he would worship Jehovah?

In situations like this, with scriptures that can either be taken literally or symbolically, and then also the symbolism applied in more than one way, I like to just think "wait and see what actually happens"
