Diapers? and Babygrows? You might want to add food and love if you are the parent?

The child is no longer an infant, but a toddler most likely capable of walking and some speech, it's 2018, this was addressed 2016, approximately 804 days in total, 2 years about 6 months, 2 weeks if my estimate is correct. Giving a gift to a child isn't materialism, but what is materialism is being dependent and bombarding a child with material things, some even unnecessary things.

But yes, a kiss is also good for it shows affection you have for those you care for.

    Yeah... such a terrible thing.
All those bloody wars caused by those atheists over the last few thousand years.... we have to avoid those.

The best example History gives us (but this is not Final Solution of course//Endlösung der Judenfrage//) of how to make people behave in Discipline was visible (perfect tense) in people stoning for braking The Law, or killing in some other way. As some text say "If you can't  or don't want living by The Law ... then Die by The Law.

I will ask you the same question that I asked the big boy: “Without such congregational tools of discipline, which do come across as harsh in today’s world,  is it possible for a group to keep its core moral values over time? Do you know of any examples?”
Please do not respond with what “should be.” Respond with what is. Do you know of any examples?

If you are referring strictly to Bible-based discipline, the WT leaders still have no clue how to do so in love, since they are more concerned at protecting an image than the individual.    They fall far short of the examples we have in Jesus Christ.   Yet, how do you account for the thousands who have not sinned, that have been disfellowshipped? Who is it, that is expressing core moral values?  The individuals who leave knowing they can't tolerate another lie or submit to the rule of unrighteous men, or those who disfellowship them?
Core moral values should be dependent on Christ's teachings and practiced by the individual no matter what the "group" may decide.

I actually would like meaningful feedback on this. Without such congregational tools of discipline, which do come across as harsh in today’s world,  is it possible for a group to keep its core moral values over time? Do you know of any examples?

When I was growing up .... it was not like that in the TRUTH.
It is my understanding that Disfellowshipping was instituted for the first time in 1945 (?) ... and weaponized after 1975.

For those in Rio Linda ....
It all boils down to this ONE, singular issue:
The way disfellowshipping is done today by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, is for the singular purpose of consolidating political power in the hands of the Governing Body, through fear and terror ... by with premeditated cruelty disguised as a "loving provision", destroying WHOLE FAMILIES and EXTENDED FAMILIES .... for the sins of ONE person.

As I have stated many times before ... the more words a person uses to put forth his viewpoint, the less probable it is that that viewpoint reflects reality where "the rubber meets the road".

A very rough analogy of cutting off a babies head, when it cries.

JUST IN ... FROM THE TELEPATHIC NEWS NETWORK:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS | Why Don’t Jehovah’s Witnesses Celebrate Certain Holidays?
Reasons vary by individual person, WTB&TS policy, and what particular holiday you are asking about
A survey of approximately 6 million Jehovah's Witnesses said 58% do not celebrate  Halloween because they find it very, very irritating to have uninvited people knocking on their doors when they are trying to take a nap.

BUT THE GB DO NOT KEEP THE JW  ORG CLEAN. THEY ONLY PRETEND TO KEEP IT CLEAN. THAT IS PROVED BY THE REFUSAL TO HAND OVER THE DOCUMENTS CONCERNING THE MASSIVE AMOUNT OF CHILD ABUSE WITHIN THE ORG IN AMERICA ALONE.
It was also proved by the UK Bethel trying to fight the investigation into the child abuse here in the UK....
And congregants are afraid of being disfellowshipped as they will lose what they think are friends, and lose contacts for business too.
Remember this Kid, leaving the JW Org, does not mean leaving God.  The GB and it's Org do not have the key to the gate that leads to serving God.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Looks to me like JW's have anti -holidays, so it's just as bad.  I've known JW's that will not eat a roast dinner on 25th December because they are frightened it will look like a Christmas dinner.
As for pushing for a special effort on a stupid day, well it seems like a way of actually celebrating that day to me. It's like saying they know that day is special to people.
And the Christmas day door to door witnessing is not a good thing. It's intrusive and rude. It's not wanted by people outside the JW org.  I did it once just to prove that i wasn't scared to do it, but it does not show love to people, it's just being 'pushy' to the extreme.

No dear Billy, i am not twisting WT publications quotes. Under their influencing spirits, what ever source those spirits are, message in articles and public talks showed how looks the hierarchy in this structure we called Organization, Society, Congregation, Company, Corporation and other titles that are official and unofficial terminology in JW organization.

I see no blasphemy, only disappointment and confusion. You are the second one using this idea of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit.
Trying to frighten people is not God's way of doing things. Showing love and compassion is God's way.  Of course JW's would not know, they only know strict rules from the GB and the fear of being disfellowshipped.

Oh dear. Do Americans actually tell lies then ?  Oh yes of course, the Governing Body of JW Org do.
As for Christmas, take a look in the 'God's Kingdom Rules' book. Pages 101 & 102
In 1883 the W/t knew Christmas was wrong, but they all, including the Brooklyn Bethel, kept celebrating Christmas until 1926.
Over 40 years of deliberate sin........... Yet how quick they are to disfellowship folks now.  Hypocrisy at its best. .

Us of the Earthly class are all human and I'm sure God is well aware we are just dust. You seem to expect far more of us than God would i believe.
The Anointed, whomever they are, maybe have more expected of them

@Srecko Sostar   Srecko, your words are true. Of course we can express our feelings in words and it is not blasphemy.
And in my opinion the scriptures were written for the Anointed, we are just the other sheep, not of that fold.  So again in my opinion only the Anointed can blaspheme against the Holy Spirit as they have a special relationship with God.
Much more is therefore expected of the Anointed.  Matthew 5 v 45
" so that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, .... "
The sons are the ones with that special inheritance, the Anointed
Matthew 5 v 48  You must accordingly be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
As for me I an neither anointed or perfect, so I'm sure God understands my shortcomings. Is this the same with you ?

The Kid is like a child throwing his toys out of the pram because he cannot think of true answers to people's comments.
Poor Kid, go and lay down and rest.
The straight answer to the question is :-
Jehovah's Witnesses are told exactly what they can and cannot do. Therefore if the GB says they cannot celebrate a holiday then that is final.
However if rebel witnesses want to do something they will find a way round it.
Remember you answer to God through Jesus Christ. Not to the GB of that Org.
