  1. I'll say one thing again :-

You have to be an ex- 'JW' to KNOW how the Elders and the CCJW works.  Just reading info' about JW Org does not give a person the real insight. Unfortunately Space Merchant THINKS he knows the CCJW / JW Org, but he doesn't.  No matter how much you read about something it does not match up to personal experience. Some of us do not just rely on news media reports, we actually know what the CCJW is like first hand.

  2. My concern here in the UK is that JWs will get seriously hurt whilst on the ministry or going to meetings, by people that are outraged by the disgusting behaviour within the CCJW.  The regular JWs seriously do not know how bad it all is. They do not investigate it. Because they are 'sheeplike' they do as they are told, and they are told not to do research outside of the 'Org'.  I had told the Elders of my ex-congregation of the dangers, but they did not listen to me. This is why I now try to make it known anywhere i can, because my ex congregation are not allowed to converse with me. The more news articles the better, earthwide,  as far as I am concerned.

  3. @Srecko Sostar   This comment you have written about the 'Last days' and 'Holy spirit'  is a very good comment and well thought out....   Also this that you've written is so funny.

On other hand GB Stephen Lett claims how we today living in Last days ("the final part of last days", "the final part of final part of the last days")))))). - short video of his famous statement     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mrges_TxOzQ

Then we have Billy the Kid aka CC saying :-

"Therefore, how can any present witness take the opinion of a person that never understood scripture, give an honest assessment about the Watchtower GB. That's just laughable."

Truth is, anybody with information about the GB can give an honest assessment about them. Each person gives their own honesty. The problem there is, JWs are too frightened to look at honest assessments of their GB. They just follow like sheep, but behind a wicked drunken shepherd. The GB are drunk on their own power and authority over the CCJW and the Watchtower Society. However it isn't laughable to people that truly love God and Christ because we can see the damage being done by the GB. The GB have ruined and continue to ruin the CCJW and the GB continue to bring God's 'name' to shame. False prophecy and misuse of scripture continue to spew out of the mouths of the GB.

And now it seems they've disfellowshipped one of their best workers too.

  4. More importantly you might want to know the truth from God through Christ, not from an 'organisation' that misuses scripture.

Or you might want true information concerning things which the Org say are false rumours.

Someone might accuse the CCJW of something that you think is untrue, but deep research will find the truth about it. Using multi sources on the world wide web can help to give balance.

  5. DO YOU REALLY NEED TO HERO WORSHIP A HUMAN ?

And if he really is a true JW he wouldn't be interested in having a 'fan club' on Twitter.

No part of the world ? I don't think so.

  6. Well if she is an EX-JW and is speaking from her personal experiences, then she once wasn't of 'mainstream Christianity'.

Everyone on this Earth will have critics, so why should she be any different. As for the hype about insight, even the CCJW / JW Org  pretended to have insight. (one example the last part of the last day 'prophecy' in 1967 Watchtower).

( I cannot understand how anyone can ignore these false prophecies. People just don't seem to see that they were given as prophecy at the time they were spoken or written. )

    Hence I've mentioned balance.

She seems concerned with the CSA within the CCJW and any JW that is not concerned about it needs to rethink their heart condition. (It's no good comparing it to the outside world of which you are no part of. You need to compare it to God's righteous standards).

  7. @Srecko Sostar  Great comment and your last sentence says a lot. JWs are on guard against the things outside, but are in more danger from those things inside.

One thing I do think is this. The CCJW has some 'basic truth' / 'basic doctrine' from scripture, but it is very misleading because it misuses scripture for its own advantage.

So thinking along the same lines, ex-JWs books also have some basic truth but may also be misleading in someway.

Its a question of balance. derek 1956 seems to only believe the CCJW. That's his option. I prefer to keep an open mind to all incoming thought and information.

But, remove the 'wolves' (and certain other people) then maybe God through Christ could use the CCJW.

Former Jehovah’s Witness Seeks to Expose the False Teachings of the Watchtower Organization

    News Image

Author Refkije Royal offers prophetic words as well as research regarding Jehovah’s Witnesses in The Ravening Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: The Governing Body of the Watchtower Organization($13.49, paperback, 9781631291043; $6.99, e-book, 9781631291050).

Royal speaks from personal experience when she informs readers about the difficulties faced by followers of the Watchtower Organization, also known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She calls this a “man-made religion,” and a “cult,” and is concerned by the rate of suicide and child abuse within this group.

“The purpose of this book is for Jehovah’s Witnesses and ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses to find their way out of the Watchtower Organization,” said Royal.

No i haven't read it, so I cannot comment on it. Just thought it might be of interest to some folks.

  9. @Timothy H Your first two sentences are slightly sly and misleading. Why ? Because they show no balance.

You are almost saying that if a person disputes the JW teachings then they have the wrong heart condition.

Whereas is could be the right heart condition that causes the dispute.

As for God's name, maybe it is Yahweh. Maybe even your GB agree it is Yahweh but don't want to change it for some unknown reason.

And if  " it's  about taking worship to Jehovah, personal. " then why would one need the CCJW to make the conditions ?

However, you don't want to respond. So be it. So not much faith there then.

  10. This has all probably been discussed before but :- The Question is, What do we NEED to serve God properly ?

I'm sure there are lots of different opinions. But there has to be some very basics.

The right heart condition is needed. The ability and willingness to pray to God. A Bible to read and study.  Some basic true facts about who God is and who Christ is.

To know that we need to pray through Jesus Christ when praying to God. To adjust our life to 'conform' to God's standards as best as we can.

I think that is the basics. SO, the next question has to be, Where do we go from there.

I suppose once we have some true knowledge about God and about his purpose then we would need to want to pass that information on to others (preaching / teaching )

BUT there is the rub. 'Once we have some TRUE knowledge about God' And that is where the problems start.

@Space Merchant  is a man that studies many different religions and has his faith based on core doctrines from God's word. But he also does a lot of very deep studying to prove that his faith and beliefs are correct.

On the other hand, Jehovah's Witnesses teach that a person must become 'one of them' to serve God properly. And JWs generally do not do such deep personal studying. They tend to believe what their Governing Body / Writing Department print in the Watchtower magazine.

@JW Insider is one of JWs, but he 'does not hold fast' to all their teachings. In fact he makes known some of the problems in the CCJW.

TTH and Arauna seem to believe all that the CCJW teach, or, they are prepared to 'put up with it' until 'new light' appears from the CCJW.

Could that be counted as putting their faith in men ?

But how many Non-Trinitarian religions are there ? And how does a person know which one is the 'true' one ? In fact how long would it take a person to research and contact them all ?

Or, could a person be a lone Christian ? Could a person pray for direct guidance through Holy Spirit to gain true understanding ? One needs to have true understanding for oneself and to teach others.

We know that the Judgement will be on each of us individually, but how do we know the right path to take now ?

  11. Strong's Concordance
huper: over, beyond, fig. on behalf of, for the sake of, concerning

    Original Word: ὑπέρ
    Part of Speech: Preposition
    Transliteration: huper
    Phonetic Spelling: (hoop-er')
Definition: over, beyond, on behalf of, for the sake of, concerning
Usage: gen: in behalf of; acc: above.

I don't see the word substituting there.  And :-

    Ephesians 6 v 20

    New International Version
for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

    New Living Translation
I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

    English Standard Version
for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

    Berean Study Bible
for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.

    Berean Literal Bible
for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may be bold, as it behooves me to speak.

    New American Standard Bible
for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

I don't want to listing them all but you can if you want to. Still do not see the word 'Substituting' here.

The 2 Corinthians 5 v 20 scripture in the Interlinear.

  12. I am not going to jump on this band wagon. I'm in UK and cannot see some news articles and obviously not all news items are true anyway.

Now this is where we need Truthers.  I wonder if @Space Merchant will investigate this as a Truther ? Or if @JW Insider will investigate it as an 'insider' ?

Contrary to 'popular opinion' I do not want to see the CCJW 'go down' completely. What I want to see is honesty and mercy and justice for CSA victims, and to see the Org 'made clean'.

Thank you @Witness for this information, and thank you JJJ for info' about New Zealand. Please keep us updated. I will obviously do my own research but as I've mentioned some news articles are being blocked for UK.

Just another personal request. I cannot hear videos properly (awaiting new hearing aids from USA ) so any written information would be appreciated.

  13. @Witness Yes, JWs ( GB / CCJW / Wt / NWT ) do seem to be the only ones using 'substituting'  for Christ.

    2 Corinthians 5 v 20

    New International Version
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

    New Living Translation
So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

    English Standard Version
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

    Berean Study Bible
Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.

    Berean Literal Bible
Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God is beseeching through us. We implore on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.

    New American Standard Bible
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

    New King James Version
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

    King James Bible
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
This is not all of the translations available on Bible Hub.
But it does bring in to question the reason for using the word 'substituting' as Witness has pointed out, especially when the GB say only they are the F&DS.
So, are the GB saying they they, those 8 men, are the substitutes for Christ ?
If so is this dishonest ? Or worse.
  14. "Yes. This person fully well believes that the wording in the verse, as I mentioned to you, changes everything, he even deems the Non-Trinitarian view as false."

I believe that SM was talking to someone else about me here in this conversation, on a different forum.. UM, he seems to KNOW exactly what I'm thinking or believing. Does he think he is now God ?

I would imagine his intent was to get me a bad reputation. So sad when people have to go to such extremes. And he says he is a Christian ? He never even asked me exactly what i believed, he just made guesses. Does he even show any proof of his claims against me ? But if he finds it necessary to do this type of thing to people then he will likely be judged on it by God or Christ.

  15. I was thinking on 2 Corinthians 5 v 20.

Therefore, we are ambassadors substituting for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us.

Does this apply to all the Anointed ? Are all Anointed supposed to be Ambassadors ?

    ambassador
An accredited diplomat sent by a state as its permanent representative in a foreign country

All true Christians are 'aliens' in a 'foreign country', because they are no part of this world and awaiting a 'new world'.. . But even more so the Anointed.
So, should all the Anointed be acting as ambassadors ? Maybe doing more than they are allowed to do at this time ?

(Once again no 'tags' as I don't know how to use them properly, so I'm told)
