Patiently waiting for Truth

Happened in our service group too. Some older ones thought the same, but it was explained to them. Our congregation received a total of 50 boxes and all were distributed promptly by assigned brothers and volunteers.
Happened here too. No one wants to waste food. If the box contained half a dozen ears of corn on the cob and you had just bought an armful, the logical thing is to give them away to others who might not have any.
I wouldn't know either, but it does sound like she has a chip on her shoulder, as you insinuate.

You are so far from seeing the big picture.  The government provides this food program to any, in need.
Tony Morris holds up a match, snuffs it out and says that all associated with that government, will be "smoke".  All, except those in your man-made fortress, will be "smoke".  This is a confident "boast" made before God.

In our service group, when an elderly sister remarked on how the brothers had bought this food, the one with oversight told her it was not they—they were just distributing—it was a government program that they had signed on to.
I do get the concern, (not of Witness, for she just wants to deride her rivals) but of the ones who originated her source material, that maybe there is someone who needs the food more. And that certainly could be. The part where Bro Hendricks says ‘we advised those who received packages not to turn them down’ and later presents the rationale that they will be inclined to underestimate their own burden—“downplaying any private struggles with food insecurity”—I can see that, too. (My wife and I are not destitute, but we are retired and we do live off social security—living modestly as Witnesses do, so that the stipend is far from huge) I responded the same way that Hendricks suggested some might respond: there will be others who need it more—and we were told that if that is the case, we could share with neighbors and others. I know of ones who have done this. How many? No idea. People of faith tend to take to heart Jesus’ counsel to not let the right hand know what the left is doing and not to blow a trumpet in front of them whenever they give. At some point you have to put faith in the “little people” to do what is right.
Since JWs are the lowest income group of all faiths (and Witness sneers over that too, no doubt), even if aid went no further than they and their immediate associates, it would hardly be a travesty. But, as indicated, they were encouraged to share if they felt there were others who could benefit more.
The trick is finding these ones. The solution of leaving it up to the individual to share with cases that he/she personally knows of is probably as efficient as any, and It may be the most efficient. If you are poor, you will likely live in a poor neighborhood, and will know of serious cases of need. If you are a Witness not poor, you will know of some who are, because Witnesses are a tightly knit community, and can find out about such hard cases through them in the event that none are in your immediate area.
Witness’s concern is only to slam JWs, but the tone of the article is irreligious in general, and whatever potential abuses of USDA rules it describes are not those of Jehovah’s Witnesses, even of such lesser charges as swapping the government logo for a religious one. The box we received plainly said ‘Farmers to Families—USDA.’ (and I am glad I took a picture of it for my prior post, because you know that Witness would not mention it)
Those church outfits will have to speak for themselves, and I noticed that some had no comment, in contrast to Hendricks, who did. Still, doesn’t jealousy account for much of the article’s tone, that communities of faith are motivated to have effective distribution channels that far outstrip those of non-faith, those purely secular? Says the article: “Many food banks and other nonprofits have complained that they’re incurring significant, unexpected expenses related to storage and last-mile delivery.” Not to be unfeeling, but whose fault is that? 
Faith, love of brother, and love of neighbor has moved ones of the JW organization to overcome these “unexpected expenses related to storage and last-mile delivery.” The packages I’ve received have been delivered directly to my door, and I have indeed shared some with others who were not recipients. JWs thus set an example showing secular outfits how it can be done. All those outfits need to do is find similar selfless people.
Of course, they do have some. I’ve nothing but praise for secular food relief organizations. But they don’t have such selfless ones in anywhere near the abundance as does the Witness faith-based community, and that is why massive lines have accompanied some distributions—one wonders if in some cases the aid received is not offset by the cost of gasoline in retrieving it. 
In the early days of the pandemic, before monitory relief came from the government that temporarily took the pressure off many, I wrote a check to one of these food banks. I don’t like the idea of people going hungry. I wanted to give, and I did so. Yet, as I did so, I had to come to grips with the certain knowledge that inefficiencies built into such programs would dilute my contribution. It pains me that this is the case. I wish it were not. I wish they could draw upon enough people in the overall community to solve distribution issues—it’s produce, after all—it can’t sit around forever. At heart, the issue is that non-faith does not move people to be selfless to the same extent as does faith, and the article seems to me an expression of jealousy that such is the case. Is it so shocking that that when people of faith give they want to call attention to what implanted that generous spirit within them? The article appears even to have even political overtones, complaining at the perceived shortfalls of a Trump administration program.
Of course, if there are abuses of the system, then someone ought lower the boom on whoever is committing them. “Saving” people in the parking lot, soliciting donations for the program, offering prayer sessions as a condition, things that Witnesses do not do, does sound as though it might violate the spirit or even letter of the program. And are parishioners poor to start with, as JWs in the aggregate are, or are some well-off? All proper matters to look at, it seems. But at present, this looks to me like another article—I have seen many—that highlights the abuses of some churches and by headline suggests that Jehovah’s Witnesses are the worst of them, even though Witnesses steer clear of such shenanigans.
I wouldn’t know just what is the case with “Heather,” whose complaint triggered this article. But I reflect back upon when I was working in a group home that hired a new assistant manager. In short order, I began to feel some heat, and in time I went to the house manager about it. “For some reason, I think she is trying to get me fired,” I told her. The manager thought that unlikely. She asked me why that would be, and I truthfully told her I didn’t know. But I then mentioned that it turns out she and I know hundreds of people in common, for she was once a member of my faith. “Oh,” the manager said, and instantly her tone changed. She said no more, I said no more, and I heard no more, until a week or two later that that asst manager had been discharged. The hostility of some ex-JWs is hard to fathom.
 

The GB obviously are. Defective 'priests' offering false sacrifice and getting their results from the Devil. Having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power. 

It seems as if Arauna has been given 'inspiration' somehow. She predicts the future even including worldly dates. 
Reminds me of Russell, the GB and the CCJW, with all those predictions.

(As a JW)…“You use the concept called ‘new light’.  ‘New light from Jehovah’, that’s the way every witness is taught.  Well, you gotta stop and ask the question; now, what you were teaching yesterday, you told me that was ‘light from Jehovah’.  Now today, you’re saying that Jehovah gave you new light on top of the light he gave you yesterday, but it’s exactly the opposite.
And so all of a sudden you begin to see there’s a problem here.  This is not new light.  You’re just trying to fix an error that you made.”
There’s a problem… (as JWs) we’re already making the assumption that the change (of) what they are going to now start teaching, we make the assumption, that it’s right.  That don’t mean it’s right!  Just because you changed what you were teaching yesterday, (and then) you’re teaching something new today, does not mean that your new teaching is any more right than the one you were teaching yesterday.”

I noticed that even with all that quoting from Agenda 2030, you found absolutely nothing that supported any of the conspiratorial fear-mongering that is so prevalent all over the Internet.
I'm glad you finally looked it over, however. In the past you said: "Just read the documents." So I did. I've learned not to give so much credence to propaganda and conspiracy theories. It reveals that there has been, not just a lot of conjecture, but a lot of outright lying from those who tried to make us believe that those conspiracies are actually to be found somewhere in the UN documents.
The UN's version of the 2030 agenda is here: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/post2015/transformingourworld and it is a plan, basically from 2015, for countries that sign on, to set a good example over the next 15 years (from 2015) by resolving to eliminate poverty, and address many other types of injustice, along with pollution, climate issues, education, human rights, etc. They think they can manage to do good in all these areas by partnering with supportive governments, and other NGOs, and various other organizations which have also expressed optimism.
Of course, we know that in spite of all the good it wants to do, the UN has little to no power. The World Economic Forum site you mentioned points to sites that show some of the SDG's (sustainable development goals) are so far off track that they are not realistically expected before the 2070's.
I notice that you still see some of the goals as "bad" and some of the methods for trying to achieve them as "bad." I expect this old system in this old world to screw up almost any good goals and turn good into bad. But that is not the fault of the goals themselves. Many countries will set laws that say, for example: no more pouring of untreated sewage into a certain lake or river, or no more paying women less than men for the same job, or no more than 1 steer or 10 sheep per hectare of grazing land. But even if these laws are wonderful for people and the environment, there will always be people lobbying for a way to delay laws or make exceptions, because rising profits will always be more important in the short run, than good goals in the long run. And there's also ways that governments just get it all wrong. Look at the 20th century dust bowl days in the United States, or going after the wrong pests in China, or spraying carcinogenic pesticides everywhere. It's the way of the world.
I notice, of course, that although you could find nothing in the UN documents that was "bad" you added comments throughout to make certain things seem bad.
I should hope that an organization with the stated goal of promoting peace and security would "sound like they want to bring and security." The likelihood of overall success is practically nil, of course, but you think it's some sort of evil thing that they should want it? Why do you think peace and security is such a bad goal? You are supposed to be praying for governments to find ways to obtain peace and security. 
(1 Timothy 2:1, 2) . . .First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made concerning all sorts of men, 2 concerning kings and all those who are in high positions, so that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life. . .
Do you pray that those in high positions work for peace and security, so that at the very least we can continue to preach more freely, or even so that we can lead a peaceful life in this world?

In your most recent video on modesty, I was surprised by your audacious and hypocritical comment on the following account in 2 Chron 26:16-18:
But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. 17 Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in. 18 They confronted King Uzziah and said, “It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the Lord God.”
You responded by saying, “Can you imagine, he became so emboldened, that he actually went into Jehovah’s temple and burned incense on the altar of incense.  Well, the priests came running, and what did they say to him?  (see) verse 18, ‘It is not proper for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to Jehovah.  It is only the priests that should burn incense.’”
Incense offerings were decreed to corresponded with the daily sacrifices by the early priesthood of Israel.  (Exod 30:34-38; Lev 2:2 (etc); Num 4:16)  We see its importance in the account of Korah challenging the assigned priesthood and its duties.  Although he was given duties by God as a member of the tribe of Levi, he desired to usurp the authority God gave Moses and Aaron.     
“So when Moses heard it, he fell on his face; 5 and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, “Tomorrow morning the Lord will show who is His and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to Him. That one whom He chooses He will cause to come near to Him. 6 Do this: Take censers, Korah and all your company; 7 put fire in them and put incense in them before the Lord tomorrow, and it shall be that the man whom the Lord chooses is the holy one. You take too much upon yourselves, you sons of Levi!”  Num 16:4-7
We know the outcome of his rebellion, “…the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up”. (Num 16:32) When the Wt. wrote of this event, it made it very clear of the consequences Korah suffered by his presumptuous actions, a word you used about Uzziah.  However, as the article then presumptuously and boldly proclaimed, the “daily sacrifices” with the “burning of incense”, is to be administered not by God’s appointed priesthood, but as the article alludes to, by the elder body, who by and large are not anointed priests.
“Representing the royal priesthood are appointed elders, who serve in positions of responsibility in congregations of Jehovah’s people around the earth.”
Their position cannot be challenged, as the magazine stated.  When such an aggressive statement is made, a struggle on various levels, can ensue.  This challenge results in a spiritual “war” against God’s holy people.  (Eph 6:12; 1 Pet 5:8; Col 2:8; Rev 13:5-7,10)
Today’s Temple of God is the anointed household.  (1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; 6:19-20; 2 Cor 6:16; Eph 2:20-22)  In the last days, the  “man of lawlessness” arrogantly  opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God”  NKJV 2 Thess 2:4
“Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done.”  Dan 11:36

I find the title of this article, the epitome of Wt’s deception: “Loyally Submit to Godly Authority” w02 8/1 p. 12  There is no quality of “modesty”, when one speaks a lie.
Tell me, how can you show such amazement at Uzziah’s “emboldened” stance in the early temple of God, yet presume that it is acceptable for God’s anointed priesthood to be “represented” by the elder body, absorbing the assigned duties of those who are to submit to the authority of God and Jesus Christ?  It is crystal clear that the governing body is no different than Uzziah, taking it upon themselves to choose who should offer spiritual “daily sacrifices”, and “burn incense” before God. 
“you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Pet 2:5
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice  of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”  Heb 13:15
It has been prophesied that this abomination, this seize of the holy people through the use of deception, would occur in the last days. (Luke 21:8; Rev 13:12-14; 20:7-10) Yes, the authority of the holy priesthood of God has been challenged.  The Temple of “living stones”, has been “given” to the “Gentiles”, to rule over, and judge as counterfeit priests.  (Rom 14:4; Rev 9:4,19; 13:16,17)
Rev11:1-3-“Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. 2 But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.    And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
Can you comprehend that you are the inspiration for this  abomination? (Matt 24:48-51; Rev 13:11,14-17) Do you realize that your organization tells the anointed priests that they must not bond together, since this would destroy the “unity” of your earthly, man-made organization?  No bonding, and no spiritual “daily sacrifices” to be offered by the priests of “Israel”. “Divide and conquer” is the scenario played out wickedly, within the Wt.  (Ezek 21:21,22; Rev 12:12,17; Luke 21:24) 
Your army of spiritual “Gentiles” have the authority given by you, to disfellowship any “courageous priests” who “confront” you and your army with this abomination, just as the priests did, with Uzziah.  (Rev 13:15; 11:3,7)
This is the army that the governing leaders of the organization has created: (see Rev 9:1-4,7-11)
“He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.”   Dan  8:11

Whatever is committed against the members of the Body of Christ, is committed against the Head of the Body.  (Matt 25:40,45; John 15:20; Acts 9:1,5; 1 Cor 12:12-14,25,26)

Where is your priority?  Is it with God’s Temple, or is with an earthly organization, steeped in lawsuits, spiritual immorality and greed? (1 Tim 4:1,2; Phil 3:18,19; Rom 1:25)  His Temple in Christ has been “building” since the first century. (John 2:19-21; Matt 16:18; Eph 2:20-22)   Your organization is a little over a hundred years old.  Do you really believe God would abandon His Temple of truth, to allow your organization to take precedence? (Acts 7:48-51; 17:24; Matt 24:24; Mark 13:22; Acts 20:29-31) (2 Thess 9:9,10)
This growing abomination by your comrades in the past and present, has been born and nurtured, through the doctrine of men. (2 Tim 4:3; 1 Tim 4:16; Rev 16:13-15)  Your entire organization has trampled and abandoned God’s Temple of “living stones” residing spiritually “captive” within your “towers”; while expertly creating its own temple of “hewn stones”.  (Isa 9:10,13-16; 29:1-8; Rev 13:1,2,4,8)
Picture today’s spiritual temple in the royal priesthood, now under the authoritative power of both the governing body, and your “body of elders”:
“For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”  Luke 19:43,44 (Rev 20:7-9)
“Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Hag 1:4

I believe you are right on both accounts.  “Jehovah’s organization” stands in place of YHWH.  It is a mountain-like “rock” that defies our true and only, Rock.  The teaching of the Wt. proves that its organization is an idol, since “salvation” is only possible through adherence to the organization.  They attach the name “Jehovah” to it.
“To whom will you compare me?
    Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.  Isa 40:25
“With whom will you compare me or count me equal?
    To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?” Isa 46:5
God has one spiritual “organization”; His Temple built on His Son. John 2:19-21   It is His “dwelling”, of Spirit.   It isn’t an earthly dwelling in the form of “wood and stone”. 
Revelation says,” I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”  Rev 21:22   JWs relate to everything they “see”, whether it is WT’s Bethel Headquarters, Branch offices, kingdom halls.  All of these are supposedly “God’s House”, incorporated as “Jehovah’s organization”. 
The organization’s beating heart, is the Body of Elders.  They are said to be appointed by God’s Spirit.  They become the “gods” of the “spirit-directed” organization/idol.  God’s true Temple and dwelling of Spirit, are the anointed. (1 Cor 3:16,17)  They are the authentic “sons of God” – “gods”. 
2 Thess 2: 4 - He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
“sitteth in the Temple” – “to set, appoint, to confer a kingdom on one”
“that he is God”  
If you look again at Rev 21:22, where God and Jesus ARE the Temple, which is in SPIRIT; remembering that the faithful anointed “stones” are the “home” of God’s Spirit, then we can see that it is the “Gentile” elder body that has trampled/rules over, the dwelling of God.  The Bible says God is Spirit, which is why He can be said to be the Temple. (John 4:24)  The elder body has been appointed as sons of their god/idol – the organization.   The organization is proclaiming that it is God.
Isn’t this so true.  When anyone leaves the organization, it is taught that they have left “Jehovah”.  The organization touts it is the spiritual “home” of God.
 
Jesus said to his disciples,  “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”  John 14:23
Eph 2:20-22 explains the true “home”/House of God. 

yes - he will for once and for all in human history prove that humans cannot rule the earth successfully! ... it will be beyond reasonable doubt.... because humans will bring the worst rulership ever on earth and use the height of human discovery to oppress fellow humans and perpetrate the worst atrocities against humankind.  It will stand forever as the worst kind of rulership ever!

The plan is to have this MOSTLY completed by 2030 AND THEN COMPLETELY BY 2050.  How do you think they are doing it?   At LOCAL level through NGOs which receive money from the government. LOCAL LAWS ARE BEING CHANGED UNDER THE BANNER OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - EVERYWHERE.  They have already changed many of the rights on the ground - what you are allowed to do on your own land. MY SON LIVES IN NZ and is living on a farm which was set aside for this plan. only a small part may be used for cows.

Most of these corporations or forums include the 4th industrial revolution in their plans. what is the 4th industrial revolution.  I suggest you find out.... it is quite frightening.

People always shift the blame for their own wickedness or their own imperfections on others.  Yes - there are injustices - but nothing one cannot get over.  
I had a terrible thing happen to me in the truth.  I had so many things go wrong.  At one stage I thought Jehovah did not love me any longer.  I was mistaken.... the defect was my own.....  So yes I understand ..... more than you think.  I was a young widow, I had a daughter with cancer .... just to name two things that made my life unbearable....
 If you think people treat a widow with kindness - think again.  I had a woman tell me that I must have been wicked in secret - that is why god punished me so severely.
The world is a wicked and unkind place. ....  People are imperfect everywhere.... You just don't feel it because you are not vulnerable...... and live and do what you please.
 I was vulnerable for many years and being a witness did not make it easier. In fact that added to my stress from the world.

Yes. I know. We have been through this before.
It's not new. And I think that the GB would only agree up to a point. In general, the GB now teaches that many more of the verses and teachings in the Greek Scriptures that we once only applied to the Anointed can now have just as much meaning for the "other sheep." And although Galatians 5 starts out as a discussion about those led by the spirit, the GB also understand that the "fruits" of that spirit are for all of us to cultivate. But the GB would likely be very uncomfortable with a view that all of us are brothers (of Christ), and all of us should be led by the spirit. They would likely agree with the general point, but not the way I worded it.
Again, ALL Christians had to be in union with Christ.
(John 15:4-10) . . .Remain in union with me, and I will remain in union with you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you unless you remain in union with me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever remains in union with me and I in union with him, this one bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing at all. 6 If anyone does not remain in union with me, he is thrown out like a branch and dries up. It includes a wide variety of ministries:

The sanctification is through the ransom, and the ransom is for all:
(1 Corinthians 1:28-30) . . .and God chose the insignificant things of the world and the things looked down on, the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 so that no one might boast in the sight of God. 30 But it is due to him that you are in union with Christ Jesus, who has become to us wisdom from God, also righteousness and sanctification and release by ransom,
All Christians are shown undeserved kindness, not because there are any who are so special that they deserve to be made holy, or sanctified. It's just that they are washed clean to have an undeserved, but acceptable "holy" standing before God so that we can approach Jehovah in prayer. No one is actually a special, righteous, anointed person who is a "TRUE anointed" who will be above their brothers as a kind of "leader" to follow.
(1 Corinthians 16:23, 24) 23 May the undeserved kindness of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24 May my love be with all of you in union with Christ Jesus.
(2 Corinthians 5:16-19) . . .So from now on we know no man from a fleshly viewpoint. Even if we once knew Christ according to the flesh, we certainly no longer know him in that way. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; look! new things have come into existence. 18 But all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of the reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was by means of Christ reconciling a world to himself, not counting their offenses against them, and he entrusted to us the message of the reconciliation.
Revelation says this about the "great crowd:"

When the scriptures mention giving to the holy ones, the term actually refers to all fellow Christians. It's true that the expression could also have a special reference to the apostles and brothers in Jerusalem during Paul's day, but Paul used it more often to mean ALL Christians. It's the same as saying "you who have been sanctified in union with Christ Jesus." And even though it has a special additional meaning to those who know they are chosen for a heavenly hope, it was also demanded of the pre-Christian Jews that they "must be holy as Jehovah is holy."
(Leviticus 11:45) . . .For I am Jehovah, who is leading you up out of the land of Egypt to prove myself God to you, and you must be holy, because I am holy.
So it is just as appropriate for those of the other sheep or great crowd who do not expect a heavenly hope.
(Romans 1:7) 7 to all those who are in Rome as God’s beloved ones, called to be holy ones:. . .
(Romans 12:13) . . .Share with the holy ones according to their needs. Follow the course of hospitality.
(Romans 16:1, 2) . . .I am introducing to you Phoeʹbe, our sister, who is a minister of the congregation that is in Cenʹchre·ae, 2 so that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the holy ones and give her whatever help she may need, . . .

(1 Corinthians 1:2) . . .to the congregation of God that is in Corinth, to you who have been sanctified in union with Christ Jesus, called to be holy ones, together with all those everywhere who are calling on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

(Ephesians 4:11-13) . . .And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelizers, some as shepherds and teachers, 12 with a view to the readjustment of the holy ones, for ministerial work, to build up the body of the Christ, 13 until we all attain to the oneness of the faith. . .
(Philippians 1:1) . . .Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus, to all the holy ones in union with Christ Jesus who are in Phi·lipʹpi, along with overseers and ministerial servants:
(Philippians 4:21, 22) . . .Give my greetings to every holy one in union with Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their greetings. 22 All the holy ones, but especially those of the household of Caesar, send you their greetings.
(Ephesians 1:4) . . .as he chose us to be in union with him before the founding of the world, that we should be holy and unblemished before him in love.
When the scriptures mention Christ's brothers, it is also referring to all fellow Christians:
(Matthew 23:8) . . .But you, do not you be called Rabbi, for one is your Teacher, and all of you are brothers.
(Matthew 5:45-48) . . .so that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, . . .  47 And if you greet your brothers only, what extraordinary thing are you doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing?
(Matthew 12:47-50) . . .So someone said to him: “Look! Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak to you.” 48 In reply he said to the one who spoke to him: “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 And extending his hand toward his disciples, he said: “Look! My mother and my brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, that one is my brother and sister and mother.”
It is just as important for persons of the great crowd to consider themselves "sons of the Kingdom." We are all God's children, and therefore Christ's brothers.
(Acts 17:28, 29) . . . For by him we have life and move and exist, even as some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his children.’ 29 “Therefore, since we are the children of God, we should not think that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, like something sculptured by the art and design of humans.
(Romans 8:12-15) . . .So, then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh; 13 for if you live according to the flesh, you are sure to die; but if you put the practices of the body to death by the spirit, you will live. 14 For all who are led by God’s spirit are indeed God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but you received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: “Abba, Father!”
According to Paul, we are either led by the flesh or led by God's spirit. This is why we pray to God as "Our Father, in heaven. . . "
(Galatians 3:26-29) . . .You are all, in fact, sons of God through your faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in union with Christ Jesus. 29 Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you are really Abraham’s offspring, heirs with reference to a promise.
We are still heirs with reference to a promise, even if that promise is considered to be paradise on earth instead of heaven. We are either slaves or sons. The sons of the kingdom produce "fruits of the spirit" instead of "fruits of the flesh." Should we think that the following somehow doesn't apply to all Christians?
(Galatians 5:19-25) . . .Now the works of the flesh are plainly seen, and they are sexual immorality, uncleanness, brazen conduct, 20 idolatry, spiritism, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these. I am forewarning you about these things, the same way I already warned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom. 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed to the stake the flesh together with its passions and desires. 25 If we are living by spirit, let us also go on walking orderly by spirit.

Most ex-JWs get on with their lives .....but there are a few that develop problems....because they cannot go on to pursue their own life and desires.  They are the ones who display revenge symptoms or hate-OCD.

In Kenya, $100 of US money will buy two 90kg each, of maize and beans.  Plenty, for a family for a month, although it is a restricted diet, supported with greens that they may grow. That is, if they have the land to do so. 
This box, costing $75.00 requires a contribution from each member in a congregation to purchase it.  Also, there is a fee to update it regularly.  
How long will the spiritual food last, provided from that box?  A month? Maybe a year? (John 15:16)  Are these people spiritually nourished in the long run, by what it offers?  The “generation of 1914” who were not to die before the Kingdom arrived, were not spiritually nourished by the WT.  On their death bed, I am sure many realized that they were duped into eating worthless food.   (Matt 7:15-20)
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”  Matt 7:9-12
If you gave someone who is starving in Kenya, the choice of maize and beans, or a box showing men dressed in suits and expensive jewelry, making promises that a starving person cannot wrap their head around, what do you think they would choose? 
Jesus, the “light of the world”, and the apostles carried the “bread” of life in their words when preaching to the people. (John 8:12; 6:35; 1 Cor 10:17)  On many occasions, money was carried along also, to give to the poor and needy.  How does the WT have the nerve to ask for money, to provide a box that spouts their version of truth/lies?  Not only are donations expected, to sustain the organization, but it is also expected for individuals to pay for the spiritual food that the organization produces.  It sounds like a win-win situation for the WT.
Lies, in the form of failed prophesy, doctrine of both past and present that was, and is a lie, is darkness; and like oil on water, spiritual darkness offered by the GB, and spiritual light in the teachings of Christ, cannot be combined.
“So justice is far from us,
    and righteousness does not reach us.
We look for light, but all is darkness;
    for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.” Isa 59:9
 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.   1 John 1:3-6
 

Any collective belief in some approach as "the way" to solve problems is, literally, a bringing together of individuals (re = again, ligio = bond, reverence, and religare = to bind).

This reminded me on tropical disaster in Philippine in 2014. i think. And JWorg video showed one JW family who, instead of food, were put WT publications in it.    

Yes, the GB is well taken care of. Whereas this woman, who faces an empty refrigerator in the picture below, has been told to ‘put the kingdom first’.  So, she gives her last bit of money, which helps stock the fridge of the 8 men who live in luxury.  She has misguided faith that soon, God will also fill her fridge as well…“all these things will be added to you”. Matt 6:33.  Isn’t that how JWs perceive the perks of the “preaching work”?
My husband and I thought the same thing.  If we would go out in service regularly, and dedicate our energy to the organization, the rest of our material needs would be provided for, and relationships would go well.
We were very wrong.  Putting faith in an earthly organization with a flawed foundation built with lies, led to further cracks that eventually became large painful crevasses that we faced.  We foolishly had put our trust and faith, that “Jehovah’s organization” could promise not only our spiritual security, but earthly security to live in this world.   Matt 7:24-27
Before Jesus made the statement above, he said,
 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rustdestroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
The woman in the picture believes that by serving the needs of an organization, that cannot exist without money, (what JW can refute that?), she is serving God as well. 
 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”  Matt 6:19-21,24
Shouldn’t the picture be portrayed as the organization/GB giving money to the woman?  Isn’t that what a typical charity in the world does?  By looking at Matt 6:24, it is clear it isn’t God that is being served first by any JW, but it is the needs of an idol in a world that without money, would die.

More fun. I've just purchased this lovely old Ford Model AA lorry. It's British, right hand drive, manufactured in Dagenham, England.
Previous owner lost his storage space and was in panic, so I offered him a 'reasonable price' which, with his wife's persuasion, he accepted.    I love old vehicles, they are so honest. No complications, no nonsense. They just do their job, whether it's to use or just to look pretty.

David Splane's "spiritual food" have elements of contradiction and is questionable as advice (for simple members).
In the meantime, world's sellout of WT properties, real estates is enough to ensure a good life for the top administration for quite some time to come, even with less donations. 
Unfortunately, GB has enough money not to worry about it at the moment. They are now concerned about the possibility of losing influence, managing (corporate governance the flock) the herd.
