What is the sign of the Son of man?

"Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:30) Note: By clicking on the scripture above, it will take you to the following explanations and insights:·
beat themselves in grief: Or “mourn.” A person repeatedly beat his hands against his chest to express extreme grief or feelings of guilt and remorse.—Isa 32:12; Na 2:7; Lu 23:48.  see: The Greek verb rendered “see” can literally mean to “see an object; look at; behold,” but it can also be used metaphorically, of mental sight, meaning “to discern; perceive.”—Eph 1:18.  the clouds of heaven: Clouds tend to obstruct vision rather than facilitate it, but observers can “see” with eyes of understanding.—Ac 1:9. The sign of the Son of man could very well be an epifania, also rendered epifanías or epiphany. That is a manifestation or a revealing of an undergoing prophecy. Notice the following verse: "Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land." (Exodus 23:30)

By applying the following scriptures, how will the new world come about?
"But Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be exposed." (2 Peter 3:10)
"Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence." (2 Thessalonians 2:8)
What's another word for manifestation? Epiphany [ih-pif-uh-nee] a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.
The Judgement of the living is pre-millienial during Christ's Presence of the Last Days. Once the wicked deny Christ's Presence as a whole, then comes the revealing phase of Christ's Undeniable Presence.
The Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Wintesses explains this extraordinary event in this manner: "Since Christ has already taken up his kingdom authority with the beginning of his presence in 1914, and since his presence begins a time of judgment, it follows that his revelation in symbolic fire for execution of judgment at the battle of Armageddon must follow very shortly. (Matt. 24:34)" Read more...

I suppose this could be analyzed from more than one aspect, and then some conclusions drawn.
What the JWs are preaching, and you have now repeated, in relation to the above events is that the number and frequency of events is directly related to the prophecy of Jesus and the year 1914. Although, I don’t think anywhere in Jesus ’words can one hear or see that Jesus said and linked the increase in frequency and number of events to prophecy. Jesus did not say a single word that in the future there would be more wars, more diseases, more famines, and the like, than there were in their time.
In fact, it came to an end in their time (70 CE). So, the number of wars, earthquakes, famines and the like remained, i guess, on average during that time (1st century) which he marked "the end of the system of things" .., for the Jews. The End in which "there is no stone left unturned."
How an earthquake occurs. These are the seismic processes that (God) built into planet Earth during creation, during formation. The decrease or increase in the number of earthquakes should be related to the state of the geological processes of the planets, and not to whether people are evil, and therefore they are reached by the prophecy of earthquakes in which they lose their lives. Earthquakes do not take place because people are evil or because people live in the “last days”.
Wars, on the other hand, can be attributed to human character. Poverty and hunger (on global scale) are also often times associated with the decisions of the people who run the states. Because not all people in the world are starving. If everyone in the world were starving, would that be a fulfillment of prophecy? Or is the fulfillment of the prophecy a periodic starvation in certain parts of the world? Is the poverty of some parts of human society the fulfillment of prophecy? What is poverty? Is it when you have less than $ 500 a month, or less than $ 2500 a month?
According to Rutherford, the "time of the end" is a period of time when millions will not die, but will live forever. What a delightful sensation he caused in most of his listeners, and how at the same time he uttered the greatest nonsense. And all those people died, and we're talking about them now.

It isn't a WT thing, it is a Strong's thing, there is no violation of the Greek language, remember, granted we all have access to BSB, it should be obvious of what the Strong's shows us.
Therefore, the BSB, the ESV, even the NWT is correct, if it was something other than the Strong's itself then you have a case against @BroRandoand or the WT.
BSB have Strong's shown on the bottom for a reason.

That being said, birth pains, birth pangs, troubles, distress pangs, sorrows, etc is ok to use in the realm of the Greek text.

Patiently waiting for Truth reacted to Witness in Millions Now Living Will Never Die! by J.F. Rutherford ??????????? A few questions.
We have the faithful and sealed,  144,000” who never worshipped Revelation’s end time Wild Beast from the Sea.  They were blameless “and lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years”.  Rev 20:4
We also have the anointed remnant in the last days -  “remaining ones of the woman’s seed”, who are “taken captive by empty philosophy”.  (Col 2:8,1 Tim 4:1; Rev 13:10)  Satan deceives them with a flood of lies. This is how he “makes war” with them.  (Rev 12:3,4,15)
Matt 24:24,25 –  “For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Take note: I have told you in advance.”
Through this captivity, the anointed worship the Beast, they give their obedience to men and the beast/organization.  They bear its “mark”; but there are some who “conquer” the Beast/organization by sacrificing their life for Christ. (John 16:2; Rev 11:1-3,7; 13:15; 15:2) They also must repent to receive their “white robe washed in the blood of the lamb”. (Heb 10:22; Rev 7:14)
The symbolic thousand years ended with the emergence of the Wild Beast from the Sea and the Beast with “two horns” like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon” – descriptive of false prophets.  (Rev 13:11,12)
Gog and Magog of Rev 20:7,8 = the two Beasts of Rev 13.  One represents false prophets of “Israel”, (“Gog”), and one represents the “man of lawlessness”/organization (“Magog”) and an army that persecutes the saints.  (Joel 1:4,7-10; Rev 8:10,11; 9:1-6; 13:5-7)  The false prophet of Rev 13:11,12 directs the Beast from the Sea. Who directs the organization?
Rev 20: “When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison (Rev 9:1,2) and will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle.”
The battle of Armageddon.  There is no other battle once this one is finished as Daniel tells us. Dan 7:11-14,21,22,26,27
Rev 20:8,9 - “Their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 They came up across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the encampment of the saints, the beloved city.
    “New Jerusalem”/Temple of God.  (1 Cor 3:16,17; Gal 4:26)
Once the temple is sealed by the last capstone, (Zech 4:9,10) there is no way that the faithful saints in the Kingdom can be surrounded by Satan, Gog and Magog of Rev 20, while ruling with Jesus Christ.  It is the anointed “kings of the earth” that are the primary target of this war.  Rev 16:13-16 (Rev 1:5)
And this war is one of DECEIT against the saints, as Rev 20:7 tells us.  Deceit means lies, not a war of nations fighting with literal weapons.   How can proven faithful, sealed anointed be deceived once reigning with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom?
Rev 20:9,10 - “Then fire came down from heaven and consumed them. 10 The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
We already know that the anointed saints are surround by a number like the sand of the sea – the massive elder body who have usurped their position as God’s priests, ending their daily sacrifice to God.  (Ezek 44:6-9)
God promises no more death or sorrow in the Kingdom.  The Wt doctrine of the thousand years ending in war, nullifies this promise from God. (Rev 21:4)  He looks at the heart of each one of us during our lifetime, even those before Christ. He already perceives what we are made of, what are capabilities are.  Becoming fleshly, mentally perfect will make no difference.  Obviously, it didn’t for Adam and Eve.   (1 Sam 16:7; Heb 4:13)

    Zechariah 8: 22 & 23
And many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek Jehovah of armies in Jerusalem and to beg for the favor of Jehovah.’23  “This is what Jehovah of armies says, ‘In those days ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold, yes, they will take firm hold of the robe of a Jew, saying: “We want to go with you, for we have heard that God is with you people.” "
Was this a one time happening, or is it prophecy ?  If it is prophecy then the JEW must be Spiritual and not just one person. And if God is with the JEW = Spiritual Jews = Anointed, then are those Anointed inspired or just guided by God ?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    Acts 2 : 17 & 18
17  ‘“And in the last days,” God says, “I will pour out some of my spirit on every sort of flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams, 18  and even on my male slaves and on my female slaves I will pour out some of my spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
We know this was fulfilled at that time as mentioned in Acts, but is it still a prophecy for our time ?
It says 'in the Last Days', and we are lving in the Last Days.
It says God will 'pour out some of His spirit'. Is that to inspire or to guide those mentioned ?
Surely they would need to be inspired to be able to prophesy ?  The scripture must mean TRUE prophecy so it would need TRUE inspiration. But when ?

What has been said is speculation. First of all; God’s finger wrote on the stone and gave the “10 Commandments of God” for Moses to read to the people. If God could write it down, He could have written the whole Bible, right? This would certainly reduce some of the mistakes that could still be made when writing by people. Also, God could, if He willed, make other models in copying and reproducing the original Scriptures, which would give a guarantee that the “Word of God” could not be circumvented.
But certainly, there are always and will be people who will believe in one or the other, and show confidence or distrust in previous records and the expertise of those who transcribed and translated the Bible into other languages. It happens on both sides. And from those who, reading some translations of the Bible, say they are poorly and incorrectly translated, to those who claim that only certain translations of the Bible are correct and true.

This is due to the events of Cyrus being recorded prior to him taking action, something of which can be read about, researched if you look carefully into what Prophet Isaiah had professed.
I suggest you read The Book of Isaiah, in relation to the liberation of the Jews.
@Witness Look at the verse below, which reads:
Isaiah 44:28 - who says of Cyrus, ‘My shepherd will fulfill all that I desire,’ who says of Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’ and of the temple, ‘Let its foundation be laid.’ ” (Reference: Ezra 1:1, 2; Isaiah 41:25; 45:1; 46:11; Daniel 10:1). So it is identical for those of calling; God is able to use those who are for him to enact his will, in the same manner Cyrus was used, hence Restoration, for if God had not used people, you would not be having a Bible in hand, let a correct one, and most likely Commissions, or an attempt to attest to the Commission would not have existed, at all, moreover, the ability to profess the Messianic Age, having the freedom to do so, despite the fact even the misguided speak too, not having that, or worse case scenario if the UN was successful in what it attempted back in the early 2000s, 2017 and even 2020, speaking about God or Christ as presented in Scripture would be outlawed as Hate Speech (despite the fact we are en route in this now not knowing if the UN will act again prior to 2030.)

Patiently waiting for Truth reacted to Space Merchant in Lawsuit alleges church elder sexually abused youth. Updated October 11
This is an example of this specific church of the JWs not being equipped to deal with abuse, and the them or the mother clearly didn't bring up the police, but rather, a lawsuit. More so, all religious institutions are able to, even legally by some, to commit to internal investigation, but it seems CSA was unheard of by them; granted the situation with CSA in the 90s.

Despite the pressure, the family could have still went on to speak with law enforcement, people unequipped to deal with abuse should be a blocking factor, so there were clearly some missteps, despite the lawsuit, hence CSA in the 90s and how things were handled vs how things should not be handled.
Again, when an abuser holds some authority and or office be it in a church or a school, they can exploit their authority and the people around them, so the fact the JWs at that church were quick here, the abuser most likely had a hand in engineering things in his favor to evade consequence, and it seems be still holds that power despite not committing these acts, and her wanting to rejoin JWs is blocked because of her history with this abuser, another factor here also is newer JW elders, maybe some being equipped that can prove to be a wild card, if need be.

The good news is, this is in the hands of The Zalkin Law Firm, P.C., who operates in city I know well. However in most cases, those on the outside who weaponizes such cases, often times, make it worse for survivors, reasons why those who understand the law and justice system are usually the ones with good insight - which can be seen in various media of which discussion is available.

That being said, child abuse in the 90s was a bit looser compared to now, if anything similar to that of the 60s-70s. Moreover, CSA right now has taken a strange turn in the digital age, some of us, me included are now targets of those under Big Tech.
Hype is only generated by those on the outside, those who see these cases and speak their mind, some of which, who do not know law, vs those that do.
It won't go away, abusers will continue to place schools and churches, and should they not be able to gain access to such, they will exploit other means, in some cases, in relation to rape/sexual penetration, in which the minor is to subsequently become a bride to an abuser.
Not really, there are those in the community, NY and the Tri-State area who know about JWs, they themselves know how bad CSA is, and know that everyone is effected, even Jehovah's Witnesses, at the same time, when it comes to Justice, mainly in New York, like I said before, it is a double edged sword/double standard, for it will be no surprise that people will begin to criticized even that for the family of the woman who was abused at a young age.
As pointed out before, abusers can exploit the system, as is, with those around them and or affiliated with. Most likely, he took some steps well ahead of the girl and her family prior to the lawsuit. Abusers who enact ill will towards someone will often times use things, even people against their victims, granted this was in the 90s, it was most likely extremely easy for him to do so, mainly in a time where CSA was in a sense, taboo to a degree.
I can tell you this now, there are complex events regarding CSA brewing, so this are going to get difficult for everyone, even JWs will be hit harder by this difficulty. Education is vital in this regard.

Now is the judgment of this world. Now the ruler of this world will be cast out.  John 12:31
“Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life."  John 5:24
"This is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil."   John 3:19
There is not another "judgment" after death is destroyed which is promised to happen at the end of Armageddon.  (1 Cor 15:25,26)
I think we need to remember that the Wt is an expert at confusing teachings.  Developing their doctrine that a thousand years of judgment to come AFTER Armageddon, is laced with a promise of peace, and  of becoming physically and mentally perfect, is totally misleading.  We have the accounts of faithful ones who lived their lives totally devoted to God and His word.  To think that they must enter into another judgment period after they are resurrected, is a lie. It negates the judgment of Christ now.   The symbolic "thousand years" is finished.  It was a time period where the anointed who lived as humans must prove their faithfulness, loyalty to truth, and their love for God, Jesus, and the assignment that was given to them.  (Luke 16:10; Matt 25:21)
Wt doctrine is basically saying that not only does Jesus not have the capability to judge our hearts now, but neither does God.  These are the same leaders who have allowed the anointed to be trampled down by the elder body.  (Matt 24:24,25,15,16, 48-51;  2 Thess 2:3,4; Rev 11:1,2; 13:1,2,5-7,11,12,15)  Whatever is done to the anointed members of Jesus Christ, is done to him.  (Acts 26:14)  So, of course Wt would imply that Jesus' promise of ETERNAL LIFE comes with a fine print clause....another judgment period is to follow,  after he DESTROYS DEATH.
It is based on the desires of the flesh - who wouldn't latch on to a bogus promise of peace, physical beauty and mental perfection?  Who...would promise such things, but Satan who bestows physical riches, power and authority to those who do his bidding!  (Luke 4:5-7)
    This is absolute blasphemy.
John 6:63 - "The Spirit is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life."

Some ideas are so obviously fabricated out of desperation that although ridicule may or may not be effective, or insult the persons believing in them,  still need to be ridiculed.
Otherwise, like the old fable goes, the King may ride on horseback  through the cheering town completely naked, because not only does he believe he is wearing the finest magical clothing, but the crowd also believes he is wearing the finest magical clothing, and it takes a child calling out what is obvious to everyone, "THE KING HAS NO CLOTHES!".
I really think you feel insulted by my previous posts, because although they may be rough analogies, they are in fact true, but in your heart of hearts you have a conflict that cannot be allowed to resolve.
"Millions now living will never die." was a deliberate lie, a false flag, puffery, and a taking advantage of naive and scared people for monetary gain.
The way I resolve this, having Faith that somehow, Jehovah's Witnesses really are God's Name People, not based on derived fantasy, but on solid Biblical core doctrine, is not expect much from the leadership of ANY  religious based organization of more than somewhere around 50 to 200 people.
We ALL have our 15 minutes of fame and shame, deluding either ourselves, each other ... or both.
It's the nature of being human.
In an interview on the BBC show Horizon, in 1981 Richard Feynman said this:
"I can live with doubt, and uncertainty and not knowing.  I think it is much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers that might be wrong."

I was thinking:  young men who arrived in Babylon during the first group of EXILES were about 15 years old... they were educated and lived in Babylon...... many of them (except Daniel) had died out during the 70 years of exile....
Many of the EXILED generation were born and died in Babylon and many of them were born (let us say) ten years before the return to Jerusalem with their parents. Due to their different overlapping  ages,   their experiences regarding the exile were different BUT they were still living in the EXilic generation. The new age groups learnt about their homeland and temple from their parents and listened to stories from their grandfathers about Jerusalem and true worship of Jehovah at the temple.  This created a longing to go back in the new age groups.
The EXILES returned home to Jerusalem - a home they had never seen !  They instituted  pure worship after rebuilding the temple  Were they called EXILES from Babylon? Yes.  Did they view themselves as exiles in Babylon - even if they were born there? Yes. BUT THEY WERE NOT THE ORIGINAL EXILES......... THEY WERE PART OF THE OVERLAPPING GENERATION (THE DIFFERENT AGES) WHO MADE UP THE GENERATION who experienced different parts of the exile AND  WERE CALLED EXILES!
Someone who reads a lot of history understand this concept very well..... but many people do not read history. This is why we also speak of empires. Empires can last hundreds of years with a certain dynasty ruling..... but this empire usually has many individual rulers. The PERIOD is clumped together because the time is defined by many similar characteristics! And one dynasty ruling.

Is all wars (every events) in history just one war, because in fact they always “overlap”? So we can talk about earthquakes, diseases, crimes, famines and the like. If we are going to solve everything with the help of the “overlap” offered to us by WTJWorg or others on this forum, then there is no need to point out any year in which things change dramatically and fulfill biblical prophecies.
In fact, we all live in continuity, a series of diverse events that are completely and uniquely connected to each other. Which means all people from Adam and Eve to this day are just one generation. We are connected by the overlap of our lives and the overlap of events.

Patiently waiting for Truth reacted to JW Insider in Millions Now Living Will Never Die! by J.F. Rutherford ??????????? A few questions.
If that's true, then one generation heard Jesus in 33 CE and another generation saw the destruction 37 years later in 70 CE. So you are speaking of two generations in the space of 37 years. This could mean you are thinking of each average generation as short as 18.5 years each, but probably longer, I'm guessing. (18.5+18.5=37)
You might have a point, since there is evidence for a Jewish practice near that time period that suggested 18 years of age for the husband and as young as 13 for the wife.
Marriage took place at a young age for the ancient Jews. Most rabbis proposed 18 as the most appropriate age for men to be married, but it wasn’t uncommon for them to be younger, especially in times of peace. Young women were married almost as soon as they were physically ready, approximately age 13.  http://blog.adw.org/2017/03/marriage-family-time-jesus/
Without birth control, the first child would probably be born when the husband turned 19 and the wife turned 14, giving birth to the next generation. (Oh look, the birth of something around 19&14. That could be significant. Maybe they would have 6 o' 7 kids, too.)
But if each generation could be under 20 years, this would mean there have now been, not TWO, but FIVE generations between 1914 and 2021. (107/20=5.35+) And counting from 1914 and adding Noah's 120 years would be SIX generations, at that rate.
    Exactly!! Excellent point!

As that was fictional sage of the ages, Yoda once said, “There is no try, there is only do“.
……. guessing about this, and guessing about that and extrapolating fantasies galore is certainly trying, but it’s better to say “I do not know“ and leave it at that then to be continuously committed to an agenda of being 100% wrong, 100% of the time ……  which is what we have going on now by any rational determination.
People from one end of the Earth to the other end of the Earth, and at least for the last 6000 years or so I’ve had one opinion about how long a generation is. It’s about 100 years and they don’t overlap.
This is reflected in The actuarial tables of  every insurance company in existence, who will insure your life based on the idea that you will be dead in 100 years, with very very few exceptions.  Many will actually pay you the proceeds of your life insurance policy at age 100, because theoretically you are dead
That’s the standard definition of a generation and everybody on Earth that’s not of the Governing Body or their adherents knows this to be true, and has known it to be true for the past 6000 years, or so.
You add that to Jesus words to his disciples, and what was in his mind and what was in their mind and you get the same conclusion.
it is very clear that in a horse race, one of the horses is going to win, and although we don’t know which one, the best bet on the strongest or the fastest one.
The rest is up to pure dumb luck.
Were you absolutely refuse to do that you are stuck in a position of entering a cow in a horse race.
1.)  I  know everybody in your little tribe agrees the cow is a racehorse……… but It’s really not.
2.). I know everybody in your little tribe agrees that the  cow is a racehorse……… but It’s really not.

The hypothesis starts with Noah, not necessarily how long a person lives. I however use a more progressive calculation by events. By events and natural history, perhaps by 2023/4 we will have a better understanding by global events. Some link their thoughts to 2021/2 which we are now seeing how fast humanity and this earth is deteriorating quicker than before. These are all hypothesis for entertainment purposes, not to be viewed as literal or by any other form. Students of the Bible need to wait and see, just like Christ himself.

Allegations also say other elders threatened to sue family of victim if they referred abuse complaint to law enforcement.

A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a local woman who said she was repeatedly sexually assaulted as a child by an elder at the Rockland Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rockport.  The lawsuit was filed Sept. 30 in the Knox County court against the Rockport congregation and Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc.  The woman said she was molested multiple occasions between 1993 and 1996 when she was 11 to 13 years old. The victim disclosed to her mother about the abuse in 1996 and the mother immediately informed the other elders of the congregation, the lawsuit stated. Instead of investigating the allegations or removing the elder from his position, the elders threatened a lawsuit against the victim’s family if they went public. That pressure led the family not to report the abuse to law enforcement, according to the lawsuit.  Shortly after the woman reported the abuse, the congregation disfellowshipped her, with the elder who said she abused her being on the judicial committee that took the action.  Bigos said the Washington man who molested the young woman remains an elder and is the registered agent for the congregation.  According to the lawsuit, at age 17 the victim wanted to rejoin the Jehovah’s Witnesses along her with then-boyfriend but she was told she would need to recant her abuse allegation.  The lawsuit also alleges that Watchtower would issue policies to elders and among these recommendations were to report allegations of child molestation to Watchtower rather than law enforcement. The elders should also not warn the congregation of threats posed by an accused child abuser, and the elders should not cooperate when confronted with a search warrant but instead contact Watchtower.
Now whether this is hyped up, or if it's just advertising for the Laywers, or even if it's false news.
The point is that this CSA reporting against the JW Org is not going away.
Will members of the public be 'turned off' from communicating with JWs because of this ? Especially as this Elder still holds his position in the congregation. Yes CSA IS everywhere, but that does not help the org.

Patiently waiting for Truth reacted to Dmitar in Millions Now Living Will Never Die! by J.F. Rutherford ??????????? A few questions.
The easiest way to explain Jesus words in Matthew is, one generation literally heard Jesus speak of Jerusalem destruction, while another generation actually saw that destruction. In the case of JW’s, the generation of 1914 has literally seen the commencement of the last portion of the final days of God's judgment, while the message of Christ continues until the last generation will see Jehovah’s day.
How can we be sure of this? We just need to remember the past. Jehovah spoke to Noah and instructed him to prepare for an impending destruction. While Noah was faithfully executing those commands, he was also warning people of this impending destruction. If they didn’t want to get caught up and consumed by it, they needed to repent.
When Jehovah’s final day of judgment came, was Noah and his family the “only ones” to literally see it? No! Everyone living on earth saw that judgment. Were they the only ones to experience that judgment? No! The spiritual world experienced that destruction. That means, Jesus, Satan and all the angels, good or bad, saw that judgment.
How many generations passed before all of human creation saw that destruction. Did any humans pass away? Would those who died before that judgment raised again after Noah settled in the land?

Another view can be seen with Jesus. Was Jesus actually present when judgment came to Jerusalem? How about some apostles. When Jesus walked the earth. Were all of Jesus generation present in 70 CE? Did Jesus raise “all” the dead in 33 CE? Peter raised someone from the died, Acts 9:36-42, so did Paul in Act's 20:7-12. So, how much authority did God grant at that time and was Jesus the sole recipient. By 1914, Christ heavenly enthronement gave him FULL authority over the living and dead. How can, we be sure? Has anyone after 100 CE been raised by Jehovah’s authority? Has Paradise been restored after 100 CE? No! That future generation that is spoken in Matthew has not seen the son of man’s full power and authority granted to him by his sacrifice. That is the debate Brothers Russell and Rutherford were bringing forward in their books.

1920-Millions now living will never die! Page 12
We therefore propose to prove in this argument that the social order of things, the second world, legally ended in 1914, and since that time has been and is passing away; that the new order of things is coming in to take its place; that within a definite period of time the old order will be completely eradicated and the new order in full sway; and that these things shall take place within the time of the present generation and that therefore there are millions of people now living on earth who will see them take place, to whom everlasting life will be offered and who, if they accept it upon the terms offered and obey those terms, will never die.
     ECCLESIASTES
1:4. Cod designed the earth to be the permanent home of man. and although now the generations succeed one another in death yet death shall cease, as other Scriptures show. P-115

    WHAT PASTOR RUSSELL SAID
     SECOND COMING--Present or Future?
Q636:1:: QUESTION (1911)--2--In the twenty-fourth chapter of Matthew, Christ tells his disciples of many signs of his second coming, and in the thirty-fourth verse, says, "This generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled." How is this statement reconciled with the belief that his second coming has not yet occurred?

ANSWER--A full answer of this will be found in the fourth volume of Scripture Studies. If my memory serves me right, there are about eighty pages on that one subject, and anyone interested would do well to read it very carefully. Briefly answering the question as it is here, we would say that Jesus in the narative carries the mind of his hearers down from the day in which they were to the time when these things will happen, and when these will happen, and these, and so on, pointing clear down to the end of the age, and then indicating that the generation that would see these signs down in the end of the age would not have fully passed away before the consumation of this age. Not the generation he was talking to, surely, but the generation respecting which he was talking, the generation that would see these signs when they would be fulfilled--that generation would not pass away, it would not be a long enough time to be more than a generation from the time certain things would be seen until the full consumation of the age.
This holds true today inasmuch as it did back then.
Have people seen a vaster deterioration of humanity after 1914? YES! This is literal and not a made-up assertion by historical accounts.
This would also strengthen a weak point by someone asserting that somehow Jesus was made King in either 30 CE or 33 CE. If the apostles had Jehovah’s authority to bring the dead back to life and Jesus was king, it would have undermined his Authority as king in heaven and on earth.
The concept of overlapping generations is not found as a searchable concept with JW’s, but can be found in the mind of an unreasonable person. JW’s should be confident their understanding of Matthew 24:32-24, Mark 13:28-31, Luke 21:29-33 are correct.

Occasionally people are born with a molar growing out the top of a foot, or six appendages, or cojoined, or one is a parasite on another ... or no eye sockets.
    What does THAT prove?
What is proves is that God cursed ONE snake .... not the billions of snakes that were contemporary to that time, or future snakes.
...or any one of a dozen OTHER different theories.
And besides, who is to say if that snake's legs are just a deformity?
