A couple of points here. firstly
I've have said this many times before on this forum. With God all things are possible.
    secondly.
Hence my name I use now on this forum. Patiently waiting for truth. And I get mocked for it.
But when you say WE, would you be kind enough to say exactly who the 'we' are ?
Are you referring to individuals or the Watchtower Soc' / JW Org / GB ?

Please note the question mark at the end of the sentence. Do you know what it means ?
It means that the sentence was a QUESTION. It was not a statement. It was not a teaching. Not a doctrine.
Imagining that. BUT Not teaching it as fact.
The Watchtower / GB teach things as facts by pretending that they are the F&DS.
You deliberately want to hide yourself from the difference. So you basically misuse scripture which in turn loses you credibility.
You need to think on this. The 'missteps' (lies) of your GB / Watchtower / Org, are condemning people to death.
     Luke 17 : 1 & 2
    Berean Study Bible
Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Not a misstep, they actually tried to change Gods “times and laws”.
It finishes in Acts 1:7 when “He said to them:
“It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.” That being said, these men believed they can “calculate” when the kingdom would be restored, they actually thought they had knowledge superior to the original disciples to know these “times and dates” by twisting Daniels 7 times to equate 2520 physical years, changing “times and laws”:
“He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.” Dan 7:25
They’ve painted themselves into a corner while obligated to say in their heart “my master delays”, beating anyone who disagrees with them. Matthew 24:48-49.

I am not fighting this battle as to whether it should or should not be included. I am just giving proof that from the time of Jesus Christ living here on this Earth, things changed drastically. They changed from punishment of death, to, mercy and forgiveness shown by God through Jesus Christ. I do agree with Tom, that forgiveness is only possible if the person is repentant.

No. That’s called making the same missteps as the original disciples did, missteps all stemming from an eagerness to see the kingdom come.
“When, now, they had assembled, they went asking him: “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” (Acts 1:6)
“While they were listening to these things he spoke in addition an illustration, because he was near Jerusalem and they were imagining that the kingdom of God was going to display itself instantly. (Luke 19:11)
It’s not ideal, then or now, but that’s what imperfect people do. It sure beats the pants off of giving up on the whole project.

I am sorry, but wish to react with illustration connected to real JW life.
When WTJWorg religious leaders replace one theology with another, then it is also called “loss of credibility”. JW members who reluctantly accept the new theology, along with GB, are losing credibility, too.
Take for example the teaching of “generation”. From a logical point of view, the previous concept seems more acceptable. You set a chronological reference point (1914), determine the lifespan of a generation (70-80 years), and establish the claim that it is this generation that will not die before the Kingdom is established.
Now, all JWs (with exceptions, of course) have abandoned their own credibility into a doctrine that had a fundamental value for everyday life, both literal and spiritual. And what have you achieved with that? This is a question you need to think about well.
"Everyone else in the world" are not so much in lose if few sentences are in the Bible or not or if they don't know how generation issue have new interpretation in JW religion.

It's interesting to read these comments because it does make sense from both sides. Most 'boots on the ground' JWs are nice humble 'ordinary' people. Having been a JW in different congregations, I've known some nice people. Generally not the Elders though. Most Elders I've met have been unplesant.
So, @Thinking are you saying that at one time you had to preach / teach something that you did not actually believe ? This isn't a trick question, it's taken from your own words as I've quoted above.
The 'eating humble pie' is sometimes a good thing. I've been 'shot down' by SM many times of late, and in most cases he is right. So in my prayer to God at night I feel very guilty and find it hard to pray. Each day I'm realising that I'm more imperfect than I'd like to be.
On this question of "had to be a baptised witness to survive", has there been a definite change in the Watchtower / JW Org teaching on this matter ?  I'll have to try and research that.
@Srecko Sostar I haven't yet managed to listen to this Convention. What day was this talk on please ? I'd be interested in hearing it. Settling out of court does not mean someone is guilty, he says. But when that settlement includes the forced instruction that the Victim is not allowed to talk about the court case or accusation. When the victim has to agree to keep quiet then it's known as 'Hush money'.  It's no longer compensation, it becomes a payment to the victim to order them not to tell the truth to anyone.
That is when we see the big difference between the 'boots on the ground' JWs, and the Governing Body and their lawyers.
My apologies to @Jack Ryan as we seem to have taken this off topic.

The JW witnessing work certainly hasn't stopped here in the UK. The JWs have been sending out letters by the hundreds it seems. In some towns residents are complaining about the letters but at least it proves that letters are being sent, and they are being read.
In conversation with an Elder yesterday he told me that magazines are still arriving here in UK, though I don't know where they are being printed. He also mentioned a 'new' study book, 'Enjoy Life Forever'.  I don't know exactly how new this book is but he said that a few copies are arriving in his location.  He did admit that the 'zoom' (or whatever they use) meetings were not as spiritually upbuilding as the personal 'getting together', but that brothers and sisters were still visiting one another where possible. He is the literiture servant for his congregation so deals with all the mags' and tracts etc. He also told me that the convention is available for viewing on the JW Org website, under Broadcasting.
Although I don't agree with all they say and do, there is no point in pretending that they are inactive, because here in the UK it is obvious that JWs are still very active.

@Jack Ryan I'm sorry we've all stolen your topic and drastically changed it's direction.
I get disappointed when it happens to my topics.
There are no JWs or 'carts' around my area of England, and I haven't had a letter through my door.
None of my local neighbours have mentioned letters either, but some nearby towns are complaining about them.

@Srecko Sostar That is a really great explanation and yes, it proves the dangers of that type of 'teaching'.
We know that people like to have their ears 'tickled', and it seems the GB have found a way of tickling people's ears.
In fact it seems a very dangerous way forward. The idea of moving away from God's written word. Replacing God's word with play acting. We know that the GB speak falsely when they give talks. How much more will these plays be false.

My point was that Jesus could have done so. I never said Jesus did so in that scripture.
But i see you are treating this all as a game. Trying to score points for SM.  So be it.
Yes this forum is probably a game, but serving God through Christ is not a game.

There are two points here. ( although I never use that 'scripture' as I'm not sure eather way but )
    1. Jesus allowed an immoral woman to wash His feet with her tears, then wipre His feet with her hair, then she anointed His feet with oil. Then Jesus said to her "Your sins are forgiven you "
    2.  The Jewish way of life, The Law, demanded death.  However the New way, through Christ, demanded mercy and forgiveness. Jesus and the disciples never punished anyone by killing them.
So Jesus could have saved an adulterous woman.

Patiently waiting for Truth reacted to BroRando in Is Christ the Angel of God's Presence?
Is Christ the Angel of God’s Presence?

“In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his Presence saved them" (Isaiah 63:9 ASV) “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him” (Exodus 23:20-21 KJV)

"He was oppressed and he let himself be afflicted, But he would not open his mouth. He was brought like a sheep to the slaughter, Like a ewe that is silent before its shearers, And he would not open his mouth." (Isaiah 53:7)

"And he was given a burial place with the wicked, And with the rich in his death, Although he had done no wrong And there was no deception in his mouth." (Isaiah 53:9)

To deny the Angel of God’s Presence you would have to reject Jesus Christ as the Word of God. “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them and carried them all the days of old.” (Isaiah 63:9 ASV)

You would have to reject that Jesus Christ was afflicted with our sins.
You would have to reject that Jesus Christ is our Salvation.
You would have to reject that Jesus Christ loved us or felt pity for us.
You would have to reject that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer.
You would have to reject that Jesus Christ died for our sins once and for all time.
Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the one who has been chosen. Listen to him.” (Luke 9:35) Accepting Jesus as the Christ can add a profound meaning for your Life. Jesus warned the wicked Religious Leaders of his day, “For I say to you, you will by no means see me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in Jehovah’s name!’” (Matthew 23:39)

To this very day, opposers of Jesus Christ continue to reject the Messenger in (Exodus 23:20-21 KJV) received the name Jesus which actually means ‘Jehovah is Salvation’.

Such ones are abandoned, because they have rejected the Angel of God's Presence that was sent in God's Name and therefore, have grieved his Holy Spirit. "But they Rebelled, and grieved his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] himself fought against them." (Isaiah 63:10)

NOTE * Those who have grieved his Holy Spirit are abandoned in the sense of dying the second death of everlasting destruction in the same manner as Adam and Eve, they are returning to dust. It is considered the unforgivable sin. Amen.

Patiently waiting for Truth reacted to JW Insider in The Last Days that began in 1914 are now coming to their End...
Actually it was very similar to the way Miller/Barbour/Russell calculated 1844/1874 and ultimately even 1914. The primary way of calculating 1914 was not the seven times of Leviticus 26 (which later became the 7 times of the Daniel 4 tree dream). That method was considered just a supportive but inferior method by Russell.
One of the original "better and clearer" methods made use of that 538 date as seen in the William Miller chart that @Space Merchant showed above. We might be forgiven if we see 538 and 606 in the chart and assume that these are BCE dates such the first year of Cyrus (which was 538 BCE) after he captured Babylon. But it's not. It's 538 A.D., aka, 538 C.E. (And, for Miller, 606 A.D. was the rise of Mohammedism.) 538 A.D. is the date that the Ostrogothic Empire was supposedly overthrown, about 500 years AFTER the time of Jesus, NOT BEFORE. (For Barbour, it was 538 AD + Daniel's 1,260 days to start  the "time of the end" in 1798 AD, and 538 + Daniel's 1,335 days (years) = 1873 AD, which failed for Barbour, so he had already adjusted it to 1874 when he convinced Russell. This is also why Russell started the time of the end in 1799, not 1798. (Evidenced by Papal rule being rejected then in the French Revolution.) Ultimately it was 539 AD + 1,335 + 40 years  = 1914. Russell's inherited methods finally had to be dropped under Rutherford. We dropped the "Israel's doubles" method, and dropped the Leviticus 26 "seven times" method, finally leaving us with only the inferior Daniel 4 method which also referred to seven times.
Newton, a brilliant man, but who also got involved in some of this nonsense, realized that people were just picking dates for the supposed beginning of Papal "political" rule, or the start of any particularly bad pope, in order to put a start date on a Babylonian Papal Antichrist and/or "Holy Roman Empire." They were picking dates just so that the end date (by adding 1260, for example) would land in their own generation. That 538/539 AD date for Miller/Barbour/Russell was considered to be useful for this kind of thing in the 1800's. But Newton said it should start in 756 AD or even 800 AD or perhaps some time in between: 756 +1260 = 2016; 772 + 1260 = 2032; 800 + 1260 = 2060.
Wikipedia has it pretty close here, I think:
Over the years, a large amount of media attention and public interest has circulated regarding largely unknown and unpublished documents, evidently written by Isaac Newton, that indicate he believed the world could end in 2060. While Newton also had many other possible dates (e.g. 2034),[39] he did not believe that the end of the world would take place specifically in 2060.[40]
Like most Protestant theologians of his time, Newton believed that the Papal Office and not any one particular Pope was the fulfillment of the Biblical predictions about Antichrist, whose rule was predicted to last for 1,260 years. They applied the day-year principle (in which a day represents a year in prophecy) to certain key verses in the books of Daniel[41] and Revelation[42] (also known as the Apocalypse), and looked for significant dates in the Papacy's rise to power to begin this timeline. Newton's calculation ending in 2060 is based on the 1,260-year timeline commencing in 800 AD when Charlemagne became the first Holy Roman Emperor and reconfirmed the earlier (756 AD) Donation of Pepin to the Papacy.[35]
    2016 vs. 2060
Between the time he wrote his 2060 prediction (about 1704) until his death in 1727 Newton conversed, both first hand and by correspondence, with other famous theologians of his time. Those contemporaries who knew him during the remaining 23 years of his life appear to be in agreement that Newton, and the "best interpreters" including Jonathan Edwards, Robert Fleming, Moses Lowman, Phillip Doddridge, and Bishop Thomas Newton, were eventually "pretty well agreed" that the 1,260-year timeline should be calculated from the year 756 AD.[43]
    F. A. Cox also confirmed that this was the view of Newton and others, including himself:
Thomas Williams stated that this timeline had become the predominant view among the leading Protestant theologians of his time:
In April of 756 AD, Pepin, King of France, accompanied by Pope Stephen II entered northern Italy, forcing the Lombard King Aistulf to lift his siege of Rome, and return to Pavia. Following Aistulf's capitulation, Pepin gave the newly conquered territories to the Papacy by means of the Donation of Pepin, thereby elevating the Pope from being a subject of the Byzantine Empire to head of state, with temporal power over the newly constituted Papal States.
The end of the timeline is based on Daniel 8:25 which reads "he shall be broken without hand" and is understood to mean that the end of the Papacy will not be caused by any human action.[46] Volcanic activity is described as the means by which Rome will be overthrown.[47]

You know,, that explanation seems a lot simpler than others I have heard …… But I seem to remember the scripture saying it’s a false prophet it will give you a specific date or year.
I’ve also heard from possibly the smartest natural man who ever lived, Sir Isaac Newton reportedly calculated the end days to be in 2060, as early as possibly 2032, But I don’t remember how he calculated it.
Sure,  Isaac  Newton’s natural intelligence was possibly greater than everybody we’ve ever met put together, but it makes sense that no man knows the year of the day or the hour otherwise we’d all be up with a shotgun waiting for the thief.
The fact that you’ve actually made this prediction is prima facie evidence that you’re a false prophet.
it’s a natural temptation, that few can resist.

    Like these....
Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, And your ways are not my ways,” declares Jehovah. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So my ways are higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts."

42 Then Job said in reply to Jehovah:
2 “Now I know that you are able to do all things
And that nothing you have in mind to do is impossible for you.+
3 You said, ‘Who is this who is obscuring my counsel without knowledge?’+
Therefore I spoke, but without understanding
About things too wonderful for me, which I do not know.+
4 You said, ‘Please listen, and I will speak.
I will question you, and you inform me.’+
5 My ears have heard about you,
But now I do see you with my eyes.
6 That is why I take back what I said,*+
And I repent in dust and ashes.”+

...we implicitly act as if this isn't true, boldly concluding things Jehovah's going to do or not do and even the manner of his doing or not doing.
    We can't let it go.
