Despite getting heat from critics for visiting Saudi Arabia, Biden defended his meeting with MBS by saying it’s in the best interests of US foreign policy to reset fraught relations with the Saudis, who are fierce foes of Iran. Biden also said he raised the topic of the Khashoggi murder “at the top of the meeting” with MBS and blamed him for the journalist’s death.
