    I have firsthand knowledge of radioactive dirt being distributed over many square miles of area in South Carolina at the Savannah River nuclear site the idea being that the rain would put the radiation into the ground And the trees would suck it up and it would be evaporated from the leaves in such small molecular amounts that the wind would carry it away harmlessly. Of course the entire site is about 640 mi.² and it has Cloverleaf like interchanges like the interstate – on site behind the secure area. The very first nuclear reactor in the United States to produce tritium, reactor K, sits in an open field all rusted up, filled with concrete and there’s a signed one wire perimeter fence approximately 200 feet away to keep people out ….. pretty much on the honor system. If it’s a sunny day today, step outside and look at the sky and you’ll see a fusion reactor with absolutely no shielding at all, the size of a small yellow star, blazing away, converting hydrogen into helium and out putting all manner of hard radiation…… But it is 93,000,000 miles away. As long as you don’t actually get a sunburn, this radiation is necessary for human life in the production of vitamin D. , AND ALL LIFE ON EARTH. ….. by the way, bananas are radioactive with radioactive potassium, but if you eat 900 a day, the potassium will kill you, stopping your heart, and not radiation. and as an aside … REAL men never set their Phasers on “stun”.

    Short term panic for those without historical perspective. We are still coming out of an ice age. What is “normal” to us is silly short-sightedness. 10,000 years ago glaciers came down to Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and since then it has been warming up. 10,000 years ago the Oceans of Earth were ALL at least 400 feet LOWER than they are now. Adapt. ….. the folks in Hiroshima and Nagasaki did.

    Same thing with the Japanese Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant disaster, when the offshore earthquake swamped the plant with a tsunami. The area has made a remarkable recovery.

    “Plans against NATO” could mean anything. I am hoping it just means to demilitarize Ukraine. The prevailing winds are from the West to the East, and the Ukraine does have (did have ?) biological and chemical weapons research laboratories, and presumably production facilities ….. and they have a large border with the Russian Federation. After he destroys that capability, perhaps he will stop. Just like the JFK assassination in 1963 perhaps we will not know for a hundred years …. Or perhaps never ….. what it was REALLY all about.

    I’m surprised that all these people that are extrapolating things from the book of Daniel have not somehow invoked the infamous “ManBearPig” of “Climate Change”, previously known as “Global Warming”.
