.I agree with Srecko Sostar, the search for righteousness is hard and long, as was World War II. Continuous errors and screw-ups and errors by leaders seriously flawed. Sometimes the WTB&TS seems like a retarded child with an unlimited budget, but people that “get with the program” do better than those that don’t. Perhaps it is God’s Holy Spirit that makes it turn out well, in spite of the lack of conscious competence.….. making a wholesome chicken soup out of chicken feathers, beaks, and feet.

Sometimes, the “Elephant in the Room” has to be there for 40 years before people will admit he is really there, after denying it for 38 years. That does not take humility. It takes inevitability, in the face of hundreds of thousands of people that will not drink the Kool Aid. I was there before, during, and after 1975, and was paying attention. It was a deliberate attempt to scare the Brotherhood artificially. What the GB LEARNED, is that you cannot fool all of the people … all of the time.….. and that loss of credibility has serious consequences.….. but that’s OK, the GB never missed a meal, or slept cold. …….. and NOBODY GOT FIRED or demoted.

It is my understanding that Unitarian churches vary dramatically, and there is no “Central Command”, like Jehovah’s Witnesses have. I was pleased to learn that Sir Isaac Newton could accurately be described as a “Unitarian Restorationist” Christian, as obviously (to me at least ….), he was the smartest natural man known to exist, and because his natural brilliant logic and reasoning led him to believe 90% or so of what Jehovah’s Witnesses believe today, I always thought of him as the first “modern day” Jehovah’s Witness ( … that I am aware of). Among the non-JW Unitarian Restorationists, are there any serious competitors for the affection and approval of Jehovah God and Christ Jesus? I would prefer someplace that does not require wearing a tie.

Oh, just as an aside, in Finland the government considers impairing a person’s right to vote in any way to be akin to a crime against humanity and a violation of a persons basic human rights, therefore the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in Finland does not in anyway impose congregational sanctions against any brother or sister who chooses to vote, and does not speak against it in any way whatsoever, which would be a punishable felony, as a violation of basic human rights. I agree with that.

Next to Rhysling Crater on Earth’s Moon is a smaller Impact site called Pudgy Crater. It’s a fascinating story how each got its name, and on one of the NASA Moon missions, the Astronauts jeopardized the mission, so they could have the “bragging rights” that they had seen Rhysling Crater with their own eyes. For obvious reasons there is no Laika Crater, rest her gentle soul, but having full and complete knowledge of all of the above is and should be of only casual interest, BECAUSE, since there is no way knowing or not knowing about this fully ….. or not at all ….. can affect whether or not at some future time we get bayoneted, or not. Same thing with KON, KOS, G, and MG. Like Rosanne Rosanadana used to say, “If it ain’t one thing …. It’s another. It’s always somethin’.”- 9 replies
