I would say but let’s say that the number is 120, OK well you can use the formula “a year for a day“ and multiply the 120 x 365 days in a year. Then you take that number and multiply by 1000 because  “ A day with the Lord is as 1000 years and a 1000 years is a day“, and what do you get?
You get 43,800,000 YEARS!
AND HERE IS THE PROOF, PRODUCED ON THE FINEST CALCULATOR THE EARTH HAS EVER PRODUCED!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate that you finally fixed part of your mistake.
In the past few years you kept insisting that this quote about 1914 +120 years came from Russell himself. Later, you reworded slightly to make it look like it came from the beliefs of Russell himself. Now you finally admit above that it comes from the "International Bible Students Association." It doesn't of course. As I documented for you already, it's just a recent quote from a modern-day Russellite-styled "Bible Student" (not the IBSA) who still hopes to protect Russell's reputation against the  the failure of those old 1914 predictions.
The man you are quoting from is just another Internet forum contributor and writer, probably much like yourself, who would love to see that 1914 still has some specific significance to the "generation that will not pass away." I suspect that, like a lot of us, you see the folly of the word-game that some of the brothers (like Brother Splane) have begun playing with the multiple overlapping lifespans that make the length of that generation "fuzzy." You want to see 1914 become a clearer demarcation point that still plays a direct role in Bible prophecy.
Our publications admit that all the various teachings we had about the "generation" from 1879 to about 2009 were incorrect teachings. A lot of Witnesses I have talked to, still want those old statements to be correct, even if it means stretching things a bit. I still hear a Witness now and then say that there have been persons in Siberia that lived to be 120.
At least you are not emphasizing the possibility of a 120-year lifespan. I think a lot of Witnesses don't understand that by trying to hold to 1914 this way, they are really just making a mockery out of Jesus words. This idea that at least one person might have been born in 1914 and live to the year 2034 implies that Jesus was really saying something like this:
When you start to see all these things occurring, lift up your heads and rejoice, because all of you will be dead, except for maybe one of you. And if that one 120-year old person endures to the end, he will be saved. He will also be very thankful that the days of tribulation were cut short on account of the chosen one, him.

It just jars with me to use the resurrection of Jesus as a definite time table for future events.  You see, not one person on earth can compare their life with that of Jesus.  He is absolutely unique.  Most of us who want to live through to the "rest" period of 1000 years made possible by Jehovah  under rulership of his Son, will not be anointed. Many of us may live through and not need a resurrection,  and will live on earth - not heaven.
The "sign of Jonah" has already taken place (fulfilled in Jesus) and nowhere is there mention in the scriptures that the sign of Jonah will appear again. It relates only to Jesus. 
Now when you talk of the flood - and last days are in many ways like the flood - that time table I may accept with a pinch of salt.  1914 + 120 = 134
We are so close now to the UN taking power over from the world authorities to bring Health security, environment security and financial security...... And we know from bible prophecy that UN will rule for one hour with ten new kings. .....
That one hour may be 12 years or it may be shorter.   Remember, Jehovah is the one who decides the exact day and hour.  So, for now ....  I wait and see.....   Hunger is looming, more pestilences are looming, natural phenomena - disasters - are looming....  and in human society the biggest earthquake ever.... is looming! 
I went back to Hosea 6 - and I can see you took the scripture out of context.  This is about unfaithful Israel and Juda, how they must repent and return to be healed.   I think one should not just quote the one verse as if it pertains to the beginning of the millennium: 
Come, and let us return to Jehovah,
For he has torn us to pieces, but he will heal us.
He struck us, but he will bind our wounds.
 2 He will revive us after two days.
On the third day he will raise us up,
And we will live before him."
 
I a with you on this - we should be awake and look for the signs that are clear from the scriptures.

I did that several weeks ago, but don’t like to waste coffee. When I blinked it punched holes in the end of my socks!

Hate to say it but grinding extra coffee this morning, I absentmindedly put it in the waiting coffee press, rather than the spare jar, resulting in 10X normal strength coffee. Nothing to be done about it but throw the mess out.

On June 4, our local NPR station broadcast some BBC interviews about the fact that this year, and for the last 3 years, no public vigil/memorial was allowed on the anniversary of the "Tiananmen Square Massacre." The last two years, officials used Covid as the excuse, but this year it was clearly more than just Covid or any other pox at play. But as I listened, I almost had to laugh at the BBC interviewer who had found a person who spoke good English decrying the new rule about memorials/vigils this year. The man agreed that it was wrong to stop the memorials, and then he was asked if he thought his life or at least his freedom was in danger for giving the interview. The interviewee fumbled for a bit, knowing what the interviewer wanted, but very nicely told him that as a Chinese person he still has leeway to speak about it, but that it was still wrong for the government to disallow the actual memorial events, because it's a part of history he remembered as a child, and he wants his children never to forget it.
The program cut to a replay of the BBC reporting way back from that day in 1989, and I noticed something odd in the exact wording of the report when the announcer said: "We are heading toward the Square now, and we can hear gunfire coming from not far away." This was actually one of the accurate reports, because, while there were protests on the Square that became violent, that gunfire wasn't coming from the Square but was many blocks away from the Square.
The explanation is presented very simply in a "Tweet" from someone who just got banned from Twitter for it, even though it is true, but almost never reported this way in the West. This is the way some journalists on the spot at the time also reported it, until the Western narrative changed and the numbers of dead also had to be multiplied drastically.

Being an American in America, you probably know a lot more about the GB, Watchtower, JW Org than i do.  Many news articles from America seem to be banned from reaching the UK. Some law or other, means that i am not allowed to read some articles. And some news just seems to fizzle out with no end results.
For example. Going back maybe three years now, in Canada victims of CSA seemed to have gathered lawyers together with the intention of bringing a 66 million dollar law suit against the GB / JW Org. the last i read about it was that the law suit was rejected / not allowed, buy some high court in Canada. Then nothing. No further news about it.
Example 2. Before Covid-19 there was information from an ex JW of internet fame (whom I totally dislike but others seem to love him) saying that the GB had been 'served notice' to appear in court in connection with CSA. Of course i have no idea how American law works, (I don't have much idea how UK law works either). However this man seemed quite confident that the GB had all been named individually to appear in court on charges of involvement with CSA. This man said he had himself been called as a witness to appear in court in this matter... Then the virus hit, and nothing more has appeared about the GB being 'brought to trial'. I've searched but found nothing. 
So yes James, you will know more of what is going on right now, than i do. 
My wife is a lovely lady. Well she puts up with me and that's not easy. We spend many happy hours together as we did this lunchtime on a picnic.  But we don't 'live in each others pockets'.  Right now she is 'working' in the garden and i am spending an hour on this desk top computer in the room i call my 'office'. 
It is not all completely useless crap. Some of it does give me food for thought. Some of it helps me to reconsider my own values. Some of it I actually take as reproof.  And some of it may help me to understand how Americans 'tick'. The 'collateral damage' thing which shocks me right through as i cannot see Yeshua allowing it, yet American JWs seem to think it's all ok.  So it's not all a waste of time. 
My life is very real, and this forum is only a tiny part of it. My wife and i do not watch any basic television. We sometimes watch a film of our choice on Netflix, but we never switch the television on and just sit in front of it. Other people that we know put the television on from 5pm until midnight, and they just sit and watch all the rubbish. Now that is what i call 'completely useless crap', just sitting watching one programme after another. So if I spend an hour or two on here, at least it involves a bit of thinking and sometimes two way conversation. 
Different viewpoints I suppose. When I'm on here I'm giving my wife a rest from constantly talking to her when she is trying to do other things. We both have our own hobbies and interests. Be real, we are together 24/7 almost. I'd drive her insane if i were to try to be by her side all the time.  Spending time doing our own things is good. 
Willy wonka / billy the kid, sometime mentions 'visitors to this site', and if that is so then some of my comments may give them warnings or at least give them some imformation that they di not have. And if people say that i play the same old record, well so does the GB in their Watchtower magazines. 
I disagree with your comment here. I have never forgotton past pain and happenings. God has however promised to remove all those things in that 'New World'.  But it is my past pain that makes me so keen to warn others and in some small way to see some justice done in this old world.
So yes, you and others can continue to think that I'm 'bat-crap crazy'  I'll let Yeshua be my judge.

I think you have been drinking the western propaganda.  While I do not profess to know what is going on in Ukraine, because I have determined to stay away from the daily propaganda (I only analyze what is going on in broader terms),  I do know that soldiers with Nazi-insignia on their uniforms are fighting in this war and...... and they are not Russians.  But - since the satellite images proved to be "doctored" we can safely assume that Ukrainian and Russian media is doctoring footage. 
This proves that we cannot take the side of the Western media against Russia and we cannot take the side of Russia...... both are doing propaganda and do not have good intentions (there is NO innocent party here). 

Looks like you have been to the anti-racism training........   I prefer Jehovah's training.  The bible does not indicate that it is ok to hate white and love black; and neither should we hate black and love white; ....... we should be without any bias of any color or ethnic group.   And we should develop compassion for ALL humans, then we will not be guilty of racism because we will treat ALL humans better than ourselves.
It is usually people without compassion who have to follow "rules' to help them ...such as the one you quoted above..... because it is not from the heart.
