Instead of insulting people here you don't like, why not apply those text to yourselves. Like that commentator Tom said, don't make it about others, make it about you, and stop playing these senseless games to have someone you don't like removed.
All of you should be ashamed of yourselves, especially when treating people you don't know with disrespect.
NOW, THE TOPIC IS ABOUT GEORGE BENSON.

Then you should understand your own abusive behavior and apply your response, by deceiving people that you are Christian.
3 Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?

Once again, being labeled, here by people that don't know me, has no influence on me, but a great deal of influence by Satan to cause this kind of Christian division.
Your opinions are no better than mind. Likewise, the topic has now become about me, because of the whims of another instead of the topic. I'm forced to defend myself when you don't question the validity of others. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Thanks for confirming the Watchtower article. Perhaps the monk I was thinking of in the 11th century is actually "Raymundo Martini" of the 12th century, far before the 16th century.

I'm sure a serious question would first need to be asked, and not some long-drawn opinion in order to have a meaningful bible discussion, and not just an argument generated by animosity. No Christian is supposed to argue, much like it's done here. So, it makes me wonder, how many consider themselves Christians.
But, this "topic" is about God's name, not some kind of, circular way at criticism. We can all do that without breaking a sweat.
It seems your presentation on how the name of God sounded seems a little outlandish, since we don't know exactly how the tone was for praising God in ancient times.
We need to consider, how scribes manipulated the YHWH to make it seem to look like something else. Regardless if we are scholars or rabbi's, the professionals have a better understanding on how the YHWH was formed.
    I AM THAT I AM
When Moses met God at the burning bush, Moses asked God what his name was. God responded, “I Am That I Am” (Exodus 3:13-14). In Hebrew the name is spelled YHWH, or Yahweh. In the several centuries before Christ, Jews were not allowed to pronounce the name because it was holy. When they came to the name Yahweh in the Scripture, they said Adonai (‘the Lord’). See the list of names for God at the entry for God.
It wouldn’t matter to a Hebrew. If God’s name came up, they substituted God's personal name out of fear. Those that God favored, had no problem praising God without fear.
Scholars recognize where scribes wanted to reconfigure the YHWH to mean something else.
Translators of the Old Testament have not agreed upon the correct translation of the name Yahweh. Since it is translated into the Greek as kurios, which means, “Lord,” many have translated Yahweh as “LORD.” However, ‘Adonai, which is best translated “Lord,” appears with Yahweh in various instances. The King James Version, for example, translates Yahweh as “God,” and ‘Adonai as “Lord.” Some modern translators have chosen to maintain the use of Yahweh. The name Jehovah has been judged by translators to be unacceptable. This name arose due to the Jewish practice of not pronouncing Yahweh because of Leviticus 24:16, “He that blasphemes the name of Yahweh shall surely be put to death” (Leviticus 24:16). This warning against a vain or blasphemous use of the name was taken in an absolute sense, especially after Israel’s exile to Babylon (Amos 6:10). Because of this, when reading the Old Testament, the Jews substituted either Elohim or ‘Adonai for Yahweh. From this, the practice of adding the vowels of ‘Adonai to YHWH (JeHoWaH) became established.
Nehemia Gordon Findings, found the name Yahovah. So, the substitution of the J for Y and “e” for “a” is appropriate in the English language.
Now if the discussion is going to extend, to how we arrive at those substitutions from "a" to "e" then we need to understand how the language transformed within the Jews.

The professionals also have a good explanation for that transformation. So, in English, the name of God is Jehovah, and it's appropriate under the Hebrew scheme of language.

This is why I leave the deep thoughts to the professionals. I get you, there are many that want to debate the true name of God. God is God. Just showing respect to that fact and call him by his deserved sovereign name, which ever you choose without disrespecting his sovereignty, that's all he asks of us. For us to believe in Christs words, and to know God's truth, will come to pass.
Do we need to show God our appreciation and praise? We definitely do. Can it be done as ONE, no it can't. Jesus formed Christianity to mean unity. The same unity God spoke of for his chosen people. There definitely needs to be a "oneness" within that unity.
Eventually, it was transformed that way for easy understanding. Don't get me wrong, The YHWH or THVH is appropriate.

So, what you are saying, Tom can disrespect certain people he doesn't like, but those people can't disrespect him because he is in charge here, got it. Thanks for that revelation.

Doesn't a century end on 99. How are you configuring when he died after 1284? Shouldn't the birth be more relevant? I don't understand how the death of a person would matter before he configured the name of God and used it by the way he formed it. Doesn't that imply the 12th century?
I guess the point to be made here is, Raymundo Martini was before the 16th century. Do you wish to debate that?

Privilege of seniority. (It’s possible I’m digging a hole for myself before @The Librarian(that old hen) who would be within her rights to accuse me of gaslighting.)
    Greetings friend.
You will now be submitted to a series of intense and nosy questions to ensure that you are not an incarnation of a certain bad penny that has bounced from oblivion so many times, always with a different handle, that you’d think he was made of rubber. I’ve not known him to use two aliases at once, but there is a first for all things.
Not to worry. Nothing will happen. An inside joke which you may not get. Glad to have you around. Keep up your blameless conduct and you’re fine. As Randy Newman famously said: “Don’t want to back-biting, no ass-grabbing—you know exactly what I mean.”

No fair at all, but neither is life. Down they go. It’s possible to establish such a cantankerous reputation, even resurrecting oneself from preview banishments to do so, to earn frequent flyer miles on the ‘In&Out’ Airline. Behave, tone down rancor, compare yourself with yourself only, not with other people (isn’t there a verse on that somewhere?) and you will yet live long and prosper.

You are speaking about George Benson being 79, since Michael Jackson died at 51. I meet Michael Jackson at an assembly in California in 1984, I believe. An assembly announcer made it a point to comment, Michael was in attendance, as though he was a superstar at the assembly. I didn't appreciate that call. He was no more a superstar there than those conducting the drama on Sunday. Does that mean, I needed to be critical of the announcement? No, since that was my personal view and opinion.

Your tone did. You seem to have a problem with his success. Anyway, I didn't suggest you did. I merely suggested, by your tone, it makes that appearance.  That's not your call to make. As for the young ones, to each their own. If they can succeed in the arts, it's not your call either. In that case, we need to be mindful to handle our own affairs as Christians. We are not the speakers for the Org, or Christianity.
It appears you take a tone with some and not all. Then it seems you apologize to some and not all for that tone. It seems you have a problem with being humble.

As I said before - I will do nothing if such things are announced in a public place.  But privately it will not carry my approval. I will ask my overseer why it was done though!  I will not keep quiet if they single stars out for special attention.
Would we have had any discussion this forum at all - if I did not make my comment that I do not like this personally? So what is this forum for? - for people to keep their opinions to themselves? so that we just become an eco chamber of each other?
Pardon me for misunderstanding the purpose of a forum....... which according to the majority over here is:  keep your mouth shut and agree with each other.....  Or be afraid to put your ideas out there so you do not hurt anyone elses perceptions of correctness! ....
