He shot himself.

Last September, our congregation lost a loving, exemplary sister, aged 61, when she gassed herself to death in her car!
She had struggled with bi-polar disease her entire life. When she and her Elder husband attempted a permanent Bethel assignment, her illness prevented them from staying. They were happily married and zealous for 30-some years. He died of cancer in September of 2019.
Then her JW mother died w dementia in Feb 2022. I thought: “Now she’ll see what life is like for single sisters w no family in Truth (she did have JW bro and sis-in-law in Oregon).” She was left not needing to work secularly, but the losses played along with her illness and she caved.

It used to be even more common in the Truth  and in the general population in the 60’s before it became universal to put up guardrails before the approaches to bridge underpasses to deflect vehicles from the concrete supports.
I suspect loneliness and unrequited love kills at least as many people each year as Covid does now, especially among men and boys.
I feel sad for his family, but at least he is not in anguish, anymore.

I just found out yesterday that a brother who used to date one of the sisters from our hall killed himself two days ago. They had got in trouble and were both disfellowshipped. Then they both got reinstated but the sister started dating someone else and 3 months ago got married. Apparently he just couldn't get over it. He was only 23.

Don't worry about "Noisy Raclette" (oh I do love that cheese, used to have it every weekend for a few weeks. It takes a while to eat when you get half the round). He has a few other names that he used to go by. Don't you Allen?

Hmm....they were banned from the hall....sounds like there was a lot of animosity between the two parties...
Whatever it was it was enough to drive a man to kill his wife and himself....

Denver7News did an update tonight. They sound like more than disfellowshipped, but what police term ‘issues with the congregation’ and ‘couple was not welcome at KHall’ might be ‘disfellowshipped’ explained by worldly person. 
According to JW.org, there are 3 congregations meeting at that Hall: 2 English & 1 Spanish. The Congregation that meets at 9:30am Sunday is the Sherrelwood Congregation. They responded with condolences as was reported in earlier news report.

Often this happens when the person has reached a resolution to follow through, given their first opportunity. Their paralyzing dilemma resolved, they can give the appearance that all is completely well.

With the posting of @Pudgy. The poster claims to be superior to God. I personally wouldn't think of it. I do have faith in the resurrection in case someone decides to end my life. 
Once again, does it matter if God is the ultimate judge?

If you research the Hebrew word for “murder” the analysis is quite extensive.
There is a world of difference between “justifiable homicide” and “murder”. 
Self defense is justifiable homicide.
If you prefer, you can always let the scumbag KILL YOU and/or your family and friends instead. 
It was common practice during Jesus’ time for all men to be armed, all the time …. Especially fishermen.
Or do you think that for 3-1/2 years Jesus did not notice that at least two Apostles and those fishermen Apostles carried knives and swords?

if someone is trying to kill you, and you defend yourself and kill him first, yes there is BLOODGUILT.
His blood is on his OWN HANDS, not yours.…
.….. much better than having YOUR blood all over the parking lot.
I strongly suspect when at least two Apostles were carrying their personal swords, they were not also carrying over sized spoons and forks.
 
 

It is my considered opinion that people have the right before God to commit suicide. There are many examples in the Bible of those who did commit suicide without any disparagement at all.
Sometimes it’s necessary, other times it’s a really really stupid idea, But that’s another story.
Sometimes it’s an idea and action born of loneliness, desperation or necessity, as in the case of the Judge Sampson.
I often lament that when “my time comes“, there will be no one to show me the same kindness as I showed my dog Cubby, when she was dying of cancer.
