  1. He hasn't judged them yet. Has anyone suggested that to you that makes you think that way? What does unrighteous really mean to you? Unrighteous just means not doing things the right way. Some unrighteous ones are not wicked. The "new scrolls" teaching of the FDS doesn't fit with the rest of the Bible. There is no where else in the Bible that mentions additional Biblical scrolls in the future. The Bible says not to add to the scrolls. Jehovah won't need new scrolls anyway, because Jesus will be here and he'll just say what needs to be said. Korah didn't repent before he died. Neither did Solomon, but he was is said to be in Sheol awaiting resurrection.
  2. Is that something that we are going through now? @boyle, you know the great tribulation hasn't started yet - quit funnin'! I need to get some rest. I hope you guys have a good rest of your evening. (I liked the kitten video!)☺️
  3. Amos wasn't originally written in English. Why is that sad? I know I am lowly. My weakness magnifies God's strength. I will boast in Jehovah. "We"? (All three of you?) How old are you three anyway? I guess I'm still just a "kid". I've never been a Bethelite, so I don't really know what you mean.
  4. No, the Bible is clear that unrepentant, willful sinners will be destroyed. The Bible is also clear that Jehovah does not destroy the innocent along with the incorrigibly wicked.
  5. Perfection isn't until the end of the 1,000 year reign. There will still be quite a bit of imperfection and unrighteousness during the 1,000 year reign. "And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. And death and the Grave were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire." During the 1,000 year reign, people will be resurrected. They will have to learn how to behave. Jehovah has not changed. He already has written down in the Bible what behaviors are unacceptable for those who want to live forever. We cannot transgress on the well-being of others. Lying, misusing our bodies, hurting the bodies of others - those things make the earth not a paradise. Those things will not be allowed. When it says "judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds" it's not talking about some new books of the Bible. It's talking about records that are going to be made figuratively as people are learning how to behave during the 1,000 year reign. The fact that records are made shows time will be allowed to go by. People won't be changing overnight. There will still be people doing unrighteous things for awhile during the 1,000 year reign. It won't be so bad like now, but it won't be perfect like paradise yet either.
  6. I am learning all the time. "He has even put eternity in their heart; yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish." I primarily use the New World Translation, but I also love The Message Bible and the JB Phillips New Testament. (And I like to reference the Kingdom Interlinear.)
  7. They are probably better people than me regardless of how much respect I do or don't show.
  8. Amos prophesied about the "locust plague", an attack by the nations, that would afflict God's name people. Revelation also talks about a similar "locust plague" that will afflict God's name people.
  9. There were all kinds of crazy things that happened in the Bible times, and Jehovah was merciful when there was a good reason to be merciful. Rachel and Leah were throwing their slave girls in Jacob's bed. That's not Jehovah's way, He didn't approve of it, but He tolerated it and even blessed the kids from those unions because He knew the parents were ignorant. Jehovah is patient and kind. He understands why people make the choices they do, even if we don't understand. He's not a tyrant. He is the Most Reasonable, Patient Person in the Universe.
  10. I tend to disagree. I think apostates have caused the most damage to Jehovah, and they know it. The FDS are apostates, but that doesn't necessarily mean that all of them are willingly apostatizing. Some of them may be ignorant and just teaching what they were taught without thinking it through. Many of those of the VAA are also ignorant but good people and just sharing what they have been taught by their new "religion". Some of the VAA are hateful and actively seeking to hurt people. Others of the VAA are actually not apostates at all, they are closer to the truth because they adhere to what the Bible says. Jesus knows the hearts, and he will judge appropriately.
  11. The word "neighbor" can mean not just the people next door, but anyone we meet. "Who really is my neighbor?" There are many people who don't show me any respect at all, but I am trying to do the best I can to respect them as much as I can under the circumstances. It is more difficult to respect those in authority when they abuse their authority and hurt you, but it can still be done, respecting their position or respecting the authority Jehovah allows them to have at present. The scripture "We must obey God as ruler rather than man" has helped me many times to distinguish what steps to take in certain situations where men in authority over me demanded I do something that was not in harmony with God's will - I had to go against what those men said and they called me all kinds of names and treated me harshly and punished me in different ways - but we have to put Jehovah first no matter what. I obey those men where I can, but if they ask me to do something against Jehovah's Word, I will always seek to put Jehovah's will first.
  12. The Bible says Enoch prophesied about the coming destruction in our day. Revelation says there will be a preaching work similar to Elijah's warning about the judgment to come.
  13. "Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth." "Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will not inherit God’s Kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean; you have been sanctified; you have been declared righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God." There are going to be people resurrected during the 1,000 year reign who died while they were homosexuals or revilers or drunkards. If Jehovah's willing to resurrect such ones and give them time to work on their personality changes, why wouldn't He be willing to allow some to be saved through Armageddon who didn't have the chance to become perfect yet? Jesus didn't come to save perfect people. He came to save sinners.
  14. Some of the words of this song are applicable as regards seeking and finding trust in Jehovah first: "Trust I seek and I find in you Every day for us something new Open mind for a different view And nothing else matters" Putting Jehovah's Word First matters. "Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know But I know So close, no matter how far It couldn't be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters" What others do who teach things that are in opposition to Jehovah, that doesn't matter. They can teach what they want, or do what they want. That doesn't matter. Jehovah will deal with it in time. We just need to obey Jehovah. "Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. Therefore, all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but they do not practice what they say. They bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger. All the works they do, they do to be seen by men, for they broaden the scripture-containing cases that they wear as safeguards and lengthen the fringes of their garments. They like the most prominent place at evening meals and the front seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by men. But you, do not you be called Rabbi, for one is your Teacher, and all of you are brothers. Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One. Neither be called leaders, for your Leader is one, the Christ. But the greatest one among you must be your minister. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."
  15. The FDS has done so much damage to Jehovah's name. Good thing the ransom is big. Jesus will make the calls on who did what out of ignorance and who was willfully wicked.
  16. "The foreigner who resides with you should become to you like a native among you; and you must love him as yourself, for you were foreign residents in the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah your God." Jehovah was kind to the non-Israelites who went out of Egypt with the Hebrews. Jehovah is reasonable. He's not a tyrant.
  17. Additionally, nowhere in the Bible does it say that being a baptized Jehovah's Witness associated with a corporation is mandatory for salvation. Yes, Jehovah's name is on the organization, and yes, we are encouraged to associate with the congregation, but there were times in ancient Israel where when there was a famine in the land, faithful worshippers of Jehovah left Israel in order to save their lives. Today, there is spiritual famine in much of the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses. There is a lack of love in some congregations. There is apostasy taught by the governing body. There is abuse. There are all kinds of shenanigans. And yet, Jehovah has left His name there, in fulfillment of prophecy, that those words in the Greek Scriptures will be fulfilled about the wolves and the lawless one's presence and so on. Jesus will clean house at the appointed time. Jehovah's name will be sanctified, and that means the organization bearing Jehovah's name will be held accountable for their actions that reproach Jehovah's name. Jesus said: "Hold fast what you have until I come." As far as that false teaching by the FDS that "only Jehovah's Witnesses will be saved," Revelation shows that a great crowd will join Jehovah's witnesses during the great tribulation. Therefore the preaching work will not end during the great tribulation. It will continue throughout the great tribulation. (In Egypt, that great mixed crowd of people that went with the Hebrews didn't have enough time to learn about Jehovah. "We will go with you because we have heard God is with you people." It will be the same during the great tribulation. Many will decide they do believe in Jehovah when they see how He saves His people during the difficult days ahead.) The "preaching work" doesn't just mean "door-to-door" or carts. It is when we show love to our neighbor and in conversation with anyone we share love and encouragement. Our "neighbor" is anyone we are around, at any time. It is when we are moved to speak up about the truth about Jehovah at the appropriate time, or even in just a practical way to show love. "By love all will know you are my disciples."
  18. The FDS implies that if anybody is not officially a Jehovah's Witness in good standing according to imperfect men on judicial committees (which are run and appointed according to non-Biblical doctrines) that they will die. The FDS also implies that the time to become such "Jehovah's Witness in good standing" will be done, the door will be shut, so-to-speak, as the great tribulation begins. That is such a bunch of make believe!!! For one thing, Jesus never said the preaching work would stop when the great tribulation begins. The preaching work in Noah's day didn't stop until the Flood came. At any moment before JEHOVAH shut the door, anybody could have gotten on that ark. At any time before Sodom was destroyed, the people could have left. They got a warning. Innocent people die all the time in the world, but it's never at Jehovah's hand. Whenever there was a time Jehovah put people to sleep, it was after they were warned and when they were actively hurting others or it was to prevent them from being hurt (like in Enoch's case). The Bible doesn't say that the people were screaming and carrying on outside the ark when the Flood came. Jehovah put Enoch to sleep. Jehovah put Adam to sleep to take out his rib to make Eve. Jehovah put a deep sleep on soldiers at different times. Jehovah had Moses and Aaron go to sleep. We know Jehovah. Jehovah probably had those people go to sleep and then "swept them all away" with the Flood waters afterwards. Jehovah is not some bloodthirsty death-dealer.
  19. The world will be put on notice. For 3 1/2 years the message is going to be the same: "Repent! The Kingdom of the Heavens is drawing near!" It's the same message we've had all along.
  20. You know I love you, and I do not wish for your death by any means. Love is kind, but love is also brave. Jehovah has proven His love before when people wouldn't back off from harassing His kids. He told Pharoah a zillion times to back off, and that guy just wouldn't listen. He got the memo, he just wouldn't listen. It's going to be the same soon in the future. Jehovah always gives a warning first. He never indiscriminately kills anybody. He will not be killing innocent people at Armageddon, that's another bunch of junk from the FDS.
  21. Absolutely. I know how far I would go if somebody tried to mess with my kids. How much more so when Jehovah gives permission for His heavenly "wife" to take out the bad guys who are harassing the kids! "Better to meet a bear bereaved of her cubs..."
  22. 3 Don't give yourself away, @boyle! Odds are you WILL live to see tomorrow if you behave! Lol!
