  1. No one has a definitive answer to these type of questions. It is best really to follow the scriptural statements such as those at James 1:17, Matt.5:45, Ps.34:7, Ecc.9:11. We know the angels are involved in the preaching activity, but only the most naive would draw a conclusion that the trolleys have guardian angels when we respectfully point out that on a personal basis this is not the case with humans. It is tempting to try and read into our work today the kind of events described in the early days as recorded in the book of Acts but sadly for some, such visible manifestations of Jehovah's angels working on behalf of humans have gone the same way as the gift of tongues. Very generous of you. But not an opinion I share at all.
  2. "you"? Not sure who you mean. Once again you are displaying a flaw in reasoning in attributing the minutiae of the actions of men to the holy spirit. So by your understanding if it goes right it is holy spirit, if it goes wrong it's not? I really don't know what you are trying to describe there, but it isn't an experience I am familar with.
  3. Jesus expression at Luke 23:46 seems to have more reference to "commiting" or "entrusting" his future life prospects to God as opposed to describing the death state which, whilst a relevant concept in view of the nature of Jesus mission to earth, is not the focus of attention here. The psalmist has it well described at Psalm 31:5 "Into your hand I commit (shall place) my spirit;" ESV. This is in harmony with Jesus earlier words: "let, not my will, but yours take place". Luke 22:42.
  4. Q: Is the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses ‘Inspired’? A: No, it is not. ?
  5. Seems to be an inference that if the group is "spirit-directed" it can't get things wrong, therefore if it does get things wrong, it cannot be "spirit-directed". There's a flaw in the logic here. It's like saying a doctor cannot be a good one if he can't drive. Get that flaw sorted and you might have a chance.
  6. Recent Kingdom Hall Sale for $11,750,000 in Los Gatos, CA (U.S.A.)??? Should've held out for more!!
  7. What a nasty country you live in! "ATMs and Credit/Debit machines have popped up in assembly halls." What's the difference between this and cash by the way?
  8. This is an attractive premise for any film about Jehovah's Witnesses. But does the reality live up to the hype? This is an observation on what happens to one of the daughters in the film. A little disconcerting as a statement. Are we suggesting a virgin birth here?... or what? Presumably an observation on the director's achievement. I don't know how this can be a valid portrayal, as Jehovah's Witnesses are actually so open as a community that they spend hours knocking at people's doors to invite all and sundry to join their community. Probably needs a bit of context. Where did this ridiculous observation come from? Surely not from one who "has experienced and understands it." referring to the Jehovah's Witnesses perspective??? Oh dear. They are saying it again. How could they possibly know? Unless they were actually Jehovah's Witnesses themselves? Now these "critical reviews" seem to be a sad substitute for the movie, and actually appear to be sounding a death knell for the director in the mind of anyone with a shred of intellect. I really hope the have not scuppered the opportunity for a "directorial debutante" to gain a measure of credibility for any future outing. Perhaps some will be persuaded to think for themselves on this matter, and share a viewpoint of some critical worth, at least marginally above the crass and prejudiced shoal of intellect displayed in these reviews.
  9. Absolutely well done @James Thomas Rook Jr. for getting clarity on this. Thanks a lot for perservering and for publishing! That's why I read your posts, despite the wasabi flavouring !
  10. Protect Young Witness Girls You probably need to expand this a bit as it has a rather narrow focus which I am sure you don't intend.
  11. Certainly: "However, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance" 2Pet.3:8-9
  12. Probably the nature of the test might give a clue?
  13. disease a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that produces specific symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not simply a direct result of physical injury. a particular quality or disposition regarded as adversely affecting a person or group of people. Any chance you could rephrse the question in the light of the definition for disease?
  14. Although likely unintended by the poster, this question exposes the fudamental gap in understanding that characterises the poster's opininion throughout. Answer this question correctly, and you are well on the way to becoming " thoroughly able to grasp mentally with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of the Christ which surpasses knowledge, that YOU may be filled with all the fullness that God gives." Eph.3:18-19.
  15. But ....none do. You're on a looser I'm afraid. All you can do is bluster and rant. Your colleagues trained you well. Acts 7:54,57.
  16. Yes indeed. But as mentioned in my earlier post, there are specific requirements for those serving as shepherds in the congregation (older men, overseers etc) for which there is a more exacting role with a more stringent criteria and a higher accountabilty. (James 3:1) They are leaders in a particular sense, with delegated responsibilities for which they are enabled and empowered.
  17. Oh dear silly billy! Sorry about the typo here. I meant Gen.32:3, or Jg.13:22 of course. I was dealing with another post at the same time.
  18. Come now. Don't get testy....You know there is as much proof of the trinity as there is for...........abiogenesis!
  19. Yes I agree with the many valid points you have made in connection with the necessity to avoid the leadership approach Jesus condemned. But on the specfic leadership assignment designated at Heb.13:17 which is also cross referenced to 1Tim.5:17, I would see a much more clearly defined role than that of "older men and others" which seems to be an extension of "in showing honor to one another take the lead" Rom 12:10.,When Paul called the older men of Ephesus together, (Acts 20:17-35), he highlighted a specific area of their responsibilities in v28 that neatly chains in to 1Tim 5:17 and back to Heb.13:17. This is not talking about leadership, but is talking about leadership style. Jesus style of leadership is part of the model he has left for his followers. This includes enablement and empowerment.
