Some have asked me about the Panama Canal. - Here is a very brief overview. It is very interesting to tour the Miraflores Locks, and understand how the canal works, and how the huge ships are able to transit the canal. ( by  Brother  Elder..)
On this day in History, Panama Canal opened to traffic on August 15, 1914.  Today,  ships from all parts of the world transit daily through the Panama Canal. Some 13 to 14 thousand vessels use the Canal every year. The Canal operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing transit service to vessels of all nations without discrimination.

New Little Current Kingdom Hall, open to the public this weekend
    By  Robin Burridge  -  November 8, 2017
LITTLE CURRENT —  The Kingdom Hall in Little Current is hosting open houses this weekend to unveil its new building to the community.
The short 10-week construction project was made possible thanks to volunteers from community and national JehovahÂ’s Witness congregation members.
“The entire new hall was built by volunteers,” explained LeeAnn Fawcett, who gave The Expositor a tour of the new building along with her husband and church elder Dan Fawcett. “There is a group of volunteers who travel throughout Canada building or renovating halls. Locally, people were asked about their skills and helped on site with everything from building to painting. Individuals (of the congregation) helped other ways too such as providing meals and accommodations. It is wonderful to be able to look around the new hall and know that we built it together.”
“We were outgrowing our old building and it was determined that it was time to replace it opposed to doing renovations,” said Mr. Fawcett.
The old hall was torn down on June 5 of this year and construction on the new building started on June 8. The building was completed and the first meeting in the new hall was held on Sunday, August 20.
“The new building is all sensored and features LED lights,” explained Mr. Fawcett, noting that it is very green and energy efficient. “It knows when people are here and exchanges the air four times an hour, which is very helpful for people with allergies. It was also built using concrete foam, which maintains the temperature, and we have in floor heating.”
The new facility is also wheelchair accessible, with a ramp up to the stage in the main room.
“We were pleased to get new chairs as well,” shared Ms. Fawcett. “The building is designed as a package so we didn’t need to worry about anything.”
There are no paid workers at the Kingdom Hall—from the building of the new hall to running the church, everyone is a volunteer.
The Little Current Kingdom Hall has a core group of 40 members with seven elders who take on various roles such as accounting, education and speaking at meetings.
The building was paid for by the JehovahÂ’s Witnesses. All contributions made to the church are forwarded on to help build other halls around the world, as well as provide relief work.
There are two main rooms: the large meeting room and a smaller meeting room that can accommodate additional people or be used as a multi purpose room. Together the rooms have a capacity of 85.
“We have dual monitors in the main room and one in the smaller meeting room that can all play the same program,” said Mr. Fawcett. “We use it for music, videos, pictures and for presentations. We have an upgraded phone system as well using the Internet that allows people who can’t make the meeting to listen from home.”
“The smaller meeting room is also used by our Anishinaabemowin language group,” Ms. Fawcett said. “Our Sunday meeting is half in Anishinaabemowin and half in English. Our group is also working on translating projects such as pamphlets in Anishinaabemowin, videos and items for the website. The Jehovah’s Witnesses website is available in 120 languages and we are responsible for the Anishinaabemowin.”
The Kingdom Hall is always open to the public, but this weekend the congregation wants to encourage members of the community to come see the new building and join in the celebration.
The Little Current Kingdom Hall of JehovahÂ’s Witness is located at 51 Wilson Street. The open house will be held on Friday, November 10 from 4 to 8 pm and on Saturday, November 11 from 10 am to 2 pm.
The brand new Kingdom Hall on Wilson Street in Little Current was completed in just 10 weeks thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers from across the country.

JEHOVAH  AND  INTERNET  WITNESSES.....     ( for  some  European  coutries )
Many find themselves searching with a search engine in one of the educational sites or networks. And find a page of apostates.
Is there criticism, information that you can not imagine, possibly lying?
Maybe you're thinking of statements like The Watchtower of 09.15.2002 on page 20:
"Doubts can be sown by the media, the Internet and today's apostates."
Or the Watchtower of 01.05.2000 admits on page 9 paragraph 9:
"Some defectors increasingly use various mass media, including the Internet, to spread false information about Jehovah's Witnesses."
Surely you've heard about the Bereans, who tried everything. And opponents use this argument to encourage you to read their pages:
"What would you do if you were looking for a new car? Would you ask the manufacturer or maybe look for a critical view with Google? A new television? Would you use Google to learn more about the vulnerabilities that the manufacturer hides? Why not with your Faith? Should not it be better verifiable and stronger than a car or television that you have for some years? "
Our slave, based on the Bible, admits that some of our people, due to lack of exact knowledge, have doubts. Watchtower 2015 says:  After this self-examination, you may have discovered that your faith is not as strong as you thought. But there is no reason to be discouraged. Even the apostle Peter let himself be carried away by fear and doubt. And on some occasions, Jesus rebuked all the apostles for their lack of faith.
    And the same magazine adds:
"Read the Bible daily, study it and meditate on what you learn, but do not be content with that, research the issues you have doubts about".
We do not read that they encourage us to search in Google critical pages with our Faith,  in order to know the "truth".
What the Bible clearly says is:
"If any of you has a deficiency in wisdom, let him continue to ask God, because he gives generously to all, and without reproach, and it will be given to him.6 But let him continue to ask with faith, without doubting, because the that doubt is like a wave of the sea impelled by the wind and thrown from one part to another.7 In fact, that man who will receive anything from Jehovah will not appear, 8 he is an undecided man, inconstant in all his ways. They saw them from a distance and welcomed them.—Heb. 11:13.
Abraham had so much evidence to demonstrate the reality of what he hoped for that it was as if he could see what he had not actually beheld! Abraham’s faith in God’s promises strengthened his resolve to do the divine will. Acting in faith, he left the city of Ur and refused to take up permanent residence in any of the cities of Canaan. Like Ur, they had shaky foundations because of their ungodly governments. (Josh. 24:2) For the rest of his long life, Abraham “was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is God.” (Heb. 11:10) Abraham “saw” himself living in a permanent place governed by Jehovah. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and others like them believed in the resurrection of the dead and looked forward to life on earth under God’s Kingdom, “the city having real foundations.” Reflecting on such blessings bolstered their faith in Jehovah.—Heb. 11:15, 16. w15 5/15 3:8, 9

Oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.—Jas. 4:7.
As we near the end of this system of things, Satan wants us to relax our guard, to “be kind” to ourselves by carving out a niche in this world, thus losing our sense of urgency. Do not let that happen to you! Instead, “keep on the watch.” (Matt. 16:22, 23; 24:42) Never believe Satan’s deceptive propaganda that the end is far off—or that it is not coming at all. Satan tries to have us believe that from God’s standpoint we are unlovable and our sins are unforgivable. That is all part of Satan’s deceptive propaganda. After all, who is particularly and really unlovable in Jehovah’s eyes? It is Satan. Who is really unforgivable? Again, it is Satan. But the Bible assures us: “God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name.” (Heb. 6:10) Jehovah appreciates our efforts to please him, and our service is not in vain. (1 Cor. 15:58) So let us not be fooled by Satan’s deceptive propaganda. w15 5/15 1:16-19

Throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.—1 Pet. 5:7.
Why does Jehovah not give us an immediate response to our every request? Recall that he likens our relationship with him to that of children with a father. (Ps. 103:13) A child cannot rightly expect a parent to grant every request or to do so right away. Some of a child’s requests may be mere passing whims. Others must wait till the time is right. Still others may not be in the child’s best interests or in the best interests of others involved. Furthermore, to concede immediately to a child’s every request would change the relationship to one of master and slave, the child being the master. Similarly, Jehovah may in our best interests allow time to pass before his response to our prayers becomes evident. That is his prerogative as our wise Creator, loving Master, and heavenly Father. Fulfilling all our requests right away would distort the proper relationship between us and him.—Isa. 29:16; 45:9. w15 4/15 4:6, 7

The word of God is alive and exerts power.—Heb. 4:12.
While they were growing up, some young brothers were not encouraged to pursue spiritual goals. The truth never came first in the life of such young ones. (Matt. 10:24) Therefore, an elder should take time to develop a friendly relationship with a brother he wishes to train for congregation privileges and let him know that he is needed in the congregation. Then, over the course of time, the elder should sit down with the brother to reason on specific scriptures and help him think about his dedication to Jehovah. (Eccl. 5:4; Isa. 6:8; Matt. 6:24, 33; Luke 9:57-62; 1 Cor. 15:58; 2 Cor. 5:15; 13:5) The elder might ask him, ‘What did you promise Jehovah when you dedicated yourself to him?’ He could try to stir his heart by asking, ‘How do you think Jehovah must have felt when you got baptized?’ (Prov. 27:11) ‘What were Satan’s feelings?’ (1 Pet. 5:8) Elders should never underestimate how deeply a brother can be affected by the reading of carefully selected Bible passages. w15 4/15 2:9, 11
