What a pleasure it is to offer practical, appealing, and attractive literature in the ministry! And when we use the latest technology to spread the truth, such as by means of the jw.org website, we reflect Jehovah’s interest in providing people everywhere with the guidance most of them lack but so desperately need. Not to be overlooked is the wisdom behind the adjustment that allowed us to have a Family Worship evening or more time for personal study. We also appreciate advances made in assembly and convention programs. We often say that they get better every year! And we certainly rejoice over the increased training being provided by our many theocratic schools. In all these adjustments, Jehovah’s hand is clearly seen. Motto : 'TURRIS FORTISSIMA EST NOMEN JEHOVA' - The name of the Lord is our strongest tower.

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially recorded in 1620. Following the addition of the two neighbouring towns of East Stonehouse and Devonport in 1914, and the elevation to a City in 1928, a crest and supporters were added to the historic arms in 1931.
The arms show a saltire for St. Andrew, patron saint of Plymouth, between four towers for the town's fortifications. This shield was sometimes shown suported by two gold lions, but they were never officially granted.
The crest is for Devonport. It consists of a Naval Crown, from which rises an English lion's paw grasping an anchor. Devonport contained the most important Royal Naval Dockyard of the then British Empire.
The supporters recall the gold lions unofficially used in previous years. They are differenced by being made regarduant and having naval crowns around their necks. From the crowns hang roundels with a boar's head for the Mount Edgcumbe family, who were closely associated with the town of East Stonehouse.
The motto is TURRIS FORTISSIMA EST NOMEN JEHOVAH or The Name of the Lord is the Strongest Tower. Aside from the biblical reference the motto echoes the towers in the arms.

Why did Jesus use the word “debts,” whereas on a later occasion, he spoke of “sins”? Plymouth / Devon UK. The town's coat of arms over the portal of the town hall of Plymouth is to this day the only city in the world, whose town crest contains the divine name Jehovah. The inscription of the coat of arms is: TURRIS FORTISSIMA EST NOMEN JEHOVA These are the words from the Bible Book of Proverbs chapter 18 verse 10a: "The name of Jehovah is a strong tower" The selection of this verse as a city motto fell in the time of the English Civil War 1642 to 1646 Plymouth was conquering by the royal troops for two years. When the city was on the brink of conquest, it was a natural wonder that helped the defenders. An unprecedented flood caused the water level in a shifted river arm of the Plym to rise so that an allied ship could hit the enemy into flight. This miracle of nature was seen as an act of rescue of Jehovah, to which help had also been sought. Out of gratitude the Bible verse from  Prov. 18.10,  was inserted into the STADT-WAPPEN.....

The Source of Christ’s power is Jehovah himself, so we have reason to believe that Almighty God is fully capable of controlling the forces of nature. Consider a few examples. Before the Flood, Jehovah stated: “In just seven days, I will make it rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.” (Gen. 7:4) Similarly, at Exodus 14:21, we read: “Jehovah drove the sea back with a strong east wind.” And we read at Jonah 1:4: “Jehovah hurled a strong wind at the sea, and there was such a violent storm on the sea that the ship was about to be wrecked.” It is encouraging to know that Jehovah can control the elements. Clearly, planet Earth’s future is in good hands. How wonderful it is to think of the time when no natural forces will kill or maim, for “the tent of God [will be] with mankind”! (Rev. 21:3, 4) We can be assured that the power of God exercised through Christ will control the forces of nature during the Millennium. w15 6/15 1:15, 16

It is not always easy to understand the pain that others are experiencing. Many people face difficulties that we have never known. Some are challenged physically because of injury, disease, or aging. Others are coping with emotional trials because of depression, panic attacks, or the aftereffects of abuse. Still others are part of a religiously divided family or a single-parent household. Everyone faces some problem, and often it is one we ourselves have not experienced. In such a case, how can we imitate God’s love? By listening intently until we understand the other person’s feelings, at least to some extent. This will move us to imitate Jehovah’s love by acting according to the need. The need is different with each individual, but we may be able to provide spiritual encouragement and some other practical help.—Rom. 12:15; 1 Pet. 3:8. w15 5/15 4:6, 7

Very  good  tips !    But  I  read  more  times,  better  NO  lettuce  at  evening,  bec. it  can  ferment  in  your  stomach  ;-(   then  not  so  good  sleeping...  Better  is,  cooking  oat - flakes  &  milk,  etc.   Thats  a  light  meal  for  the  stomach  and  the  sleep  is  running  to  you  >>>>>>>>   Test  it....    I  can  sleep  after  eating,   WHATEVER  - hahaha  -  To  95 %  NO  problems !  I  can  sleep  by  day  or  by  night....   When  my  body  needs  resting,  the  clock - time  is  not  importend....  only  a  bed
