You can run away if you want but the TRUTH is still there : ALL the Apostles were Jews and they did believe in Christ who by the way was also a JEW who does not believe in a Trinity.  See how simple the Truth is? You say you will share what he BIBLE says on your god but you have yet to show any Scripture at all to prove your false god of the Trinity is in the Bible. Still waiting.

I see you still have not given any Scripture to prove the Trinity. All the Scriptures you have given were all written by Jews and Jews do not believe in a Trinity. See how simple reasoning on the TRUTH is?  So PLEASE try and give us a Scripture that proves the Trinity. From the BIBLE - Any Translation you want.

We will not fight anymore than we will at Armageddon - it is God's War.
It is true that Trinitarians have killed other Trinitarians during warfare over the Centuries of time.  As is true of many followers of false gods. The true God is a God of love and his followers would "love one another" not kill one another as Satan's Children do and as Catholics and Protestants have done showing they worship a false god. John 13:34,35.

Which side was the Trinity on if the followers of the Trinity were on BOTH the losing and winning side LOL I suppose one part of your false god was on the winning side and one part was on the losing side. So which part lost ? The Father, Son or Holy Spirit?   So I guess the third part of your Trinity was a referee???

I agree that Catholics and Protestants do not know God and He is a mystery to them. That is why they are a false religion for Jesus said:
"You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation begins with the Jews." John 4:22; 17:3.
And Jesus as well as all the Bible writers were JEWS and they know God is not a Trinity as JESUS said. Jesus TRUE followers therefore would believe as HE DOES in GOD. Not as a three in one but as only ONE GOD for Jesus and the Bible writers were Jews. Deut. 4:4

A letter is quite different than killing someone because you think God is on your side. duh  If you would like to start another thread on another topic you may do so. But on the topic of the Trinity could someone please prove from the Bible that God is a Trinity???  I realize of course when someone cannot prove something they resort to changing the subject or making things up that are not the subject under consideration but why can't you Trinitarians just stay on topic and prove that God is a Trinity?  Can't you prove the very FOUNDATION AND CENTRAL DOCTRINE of your belief in God, it should not be that difficult???
"You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation begins with the Jews." John 4:22; 17:3.
And on the off topic section:

bruceq reacted to bruceq in Jehovah's Witnesses are being honored again in Russia for benefiting the community while being oppressed
Languishing in jail Dennis Christensen and his co-religionists have gained appreciation from the local authorities
June 14, 2017   Photo collage: cleaning of the territory in the city of Eagle and Dennis Christensen
The City of Eagle was awarded the local Jehovah's Witnesses for their active participation in cleaning the city from garbage. Believers have been nice to get appreciation from the city and a gift from the administration's signature: "In gratitude for a good deed - garbage collection for the benefit of people and nature."
Signature on a gift from the city administration Jehovah's Witnesses, wherever they live, tend to benefit neighbors not only the spread of Bible knowledge, but also participation in various forms of socially useful activity. The same is citizenship and Dennis Christensen - one of the Oryol Jehovah's Witnesses, who were actively involved in cleaning.Standing foot in cold water Orlik River, it pulled out of a net river trash. All work was carried out free of charge.
In view of this particularly ironic look that Christensen had almost three weeks languishing in the city jail on false charges of organizing an extremist community. Believers are in disbelief, because, according to city officials, this is the community benefit the city. Garbage collection was the last good thing Dennis that he had to do, while at liberty.
It is noteworthy that the representative of the administration of the Eagle was sympathetic to Jehovah's Witnesses because of religious persecution in the country and wished them not to lose the power of the spirit.

You may not realise it, but you project a very jaundiced spirit here @HollyW. Are you/were you a JW? because you seem to speak from a position of knowing what they feel or think about things? But then you are not like JWs I know, although I won't say I know so many as to be an expert in how they view their relationship with other Witnesses. But you certainly seem to be hurting about something.
However, I do know how I feel about things myself and am expert in that. And I will limit my comments to how I personally feel about things in this matter of making decisions about various practices or issues. What other Witnesses go by when deciding their course in life is up to them. That seems to me to be an honest approach.

Micah logs onto a site that bills itself ostensibly as a meeting spot for JWs. He hurls incendiary charges about everything under the sun. When he finds some find him unwelcome, he carries on above love! - the love he has positively oozed from his pores.
He even charged that the WTS tries to dictate what ones do in the bedroom. What in the world is he talking about? He provides no backing for his charge.
Yes, it is only his time that matters. It is only his time that is too valuable to squander. Let us see if, having declared his mission over, he can resist appearing for an encore.

Hardy har har and a slap on the arse for @The Librarian, sending her sprawling over her card catalog and into the Children's Section stuffed animal bin!
Vic Vomidog's the name. Disemboweling the Seven Phonies is my game. There's a mighty big Apostate section in this library. That's just the way I like it. A lot of me mates are here.
I despise that scurious weasel of a wannabe writer TrueTomHarley almost as much as I despise the Seven Phonies he shills for. He did nothing but slander me in his vile 'Tom Irregardless and Me' book. He will walk the plank for sure if ever I lay me hands upon him, he and that those rats @bruceq, @Eoin Joyce, some others, and even @JW Insider

In the end, the analogy of swatting flies is spot-on. You do it for a variety of reasons - to demonstrate your technique, and because you hate flies.
You do not imagine that in so doing you are eradicating flies. In fact, one must be careful not to trigger a local brother's illustration: "Kill one fly, and 50 come to the funeral."
    It works for me.

Forgive me for this. It is not to say anything about you. But some things strike me as too stupid to try to get my head around.
It is no more than 'blindly following' the bus driver. I could have walked, but I am smarter to take the bus. Having done so, I do not feel I have to sit behind him and critique his every decision. Much less, having already left the bus, shouting as with a bullhorn at the passengers remaining. What is your interest in doing so?

If there is one thing all should be able to agree upon, it is that nobody can tell Stephen Lett about gestures. He wrote the book.
Look, I shouldn't comment on this topic because I am only barely paying attention. But why would not the following common sense point apply? If the ring truly represented anything sinister, he would simply remove it and leave it in his locker before doing the broadcast, so as not to get guys like you going.

bruceq reacted to TrueTomHarley in LOOKING FOR PDF OF QUEBEC'S BURNING HATE TRACT
I wondered what was all the fuss about this tract. Then I went to the Thursday meeting.
As to the question "What effect did the [Canadian Supreme Court] victory have on our brothers and sisters?' I replied that the jury is still out. It isn't for Canada, but it is for Russia. How comes it that this Quebec case is presented to congregations worldwide as the Russian Supreme Court is to hear our appeal? @JW Insider will know the lead time on this article, but I would be surprised if it is under two years, one at most.
Their certainly are a lot of parallels, and perhaps the Russian Court will be instructed by the Canadian Court of long ago. Perhaps it will be moved by "the Court agreed with the argument presented by the defense that "sedition" requires incitement to violence or insurrection against government. The tract, however, 'contained no such incitements and was therefore a lawful form of free speech.'" The tract in question, Quebec's Burning Hate, was considerably hotter than anything Russia has been asked to deal with.
You can be sure all is being done that can be done to ensure that relevant Russian officials are aware of this. Perhaps they will empathize, or perhaps they will be chastened by, the "trial court judge, who hated Witnesses, refused to admit evidence that proved the Bouchers' innocence." The Russian court, too, refused to admit evidence proving innocence, most notably that of police planting the 'extremist' literature that they would later 'find' and used as a pretext of arrest.
Russia is not Canada. It cannot be shamed for denying free speech. It has not the reverence for free speech as do Western countries. There is a tendency to think that if the actual trial was a perfunctory sham, surely the appeal will be, too. But it may not be that way. The internet may prove powerful. The evidence that the Russian Court refused to see WAS seen by everyone else in the whole wide world thanks to jw.org, and this has to register. Of course, I exaggerate. It wasn't everyone. Far from it. But among legal type people and scholar type people, human-rights type people, and many a political figure, it likely was universal. The only ones who had a moral responsibility to see it are the ones who refused to see it. Surely they are embarrassed as this is brought to their attention.
    What will their response be?

"Who are they? (Genuine question)" Eoin asks.
"Corporate propaganda." I think that says it all. I appreciate the frankness. The Librarian, who is not necessarily the same, though he may be, added his site to hers and came under her umbrella, in order to ease up on the hassles of running a site himself. It's practical logistics.
This is the Grand Overlord, the Overlord of Overlords, who yanked me from the thread he or she assigned me to in the first place. The poor and stooped (but never stupid) Librarian, old sentimental hen that she is, pleaded and pleaded in my behalf, for after all, I am her pupil, even if a bad one - but it did her no good. To be sure, I had it coming. I was mean to certain ones. Frankly, I appreciate knowing the rules, even if they are not the 'rules' on my own blog, which doesn't get near the traffic of this one.
In my opinion, anyone observant of Watchtower counsel on association has a screw loose to be here. As it turns out, I do. Plus, an 'extenuating circumstance' or two, which I have previously mentioned. As near as I can see, that is true of other frequent commenters, even if those of some I think are not noble. Perhaps ones more observant of theocratic counsel in this regard, (for I am exceptionally observant in all other regards) will cut me some slack for being a 'bad boy' in view of my 'reasons,' but I would never be critical of them if they did not. The site was here long before I stumbled across it, billed (disingenuously?) as a forum for JWs, and it will be here long after I leave, if I ever do.
Hopefully, the unusual takes and sense of humor I bring will continue to be seen as 'adding value,' particularly now that I refrain from coming after certain ones with a Howitzer. There are far more apostates (some are probably just opposers - which are not the same) around here than I ever dreamed there would be when I stumbled on board - I was initially surprised to find any. I can't make myself be nice to them. I just can't. (I can with opposers) Hebrews 6:6 comes to mind. But approaching the forum with the tools that are mine, I manage to 'coexist," as the bumper sticker says. (I would make all the special characters if I knew how and had the time and interest)

bruceq reacted to JW Insider in Evidence that the "New Testament" contained the Divine Name (YHWH)
How good is the evidence that the Christian Scriptures contained YHWH or some variation of that Divine Name?
There are probably some non-JWs who believe that there is absolutely no reason at all to even entertain the possibility, and there are probably some JWs who believe manuscripts have already been found with YHWH in the NT.  For most of us, the real answer lies somewhere in between. There is a lot of good research on the issue, and this research might be interesting to some of us, whether or not it is compelling enough for anyone to change their mind.
A previous discussion on the topic became very long and veered off into other topics, too. Hopefully, this attempt will not result in multiple topics or judgmental attitudes about people, and we can focus on the validity of the research itself.
If anyone wishes to participate, they should feel free to copy anything they wrote in a previous thread. A topic about YHWH in the NT will likely also include topics about the pronunciation of YHWH, YHWH in the OT (LXX, Masoretic, DSS, and other manuscripts), the earliest NT and OT meanings of "name," historical linguistic trends, Greek abbreviations, NT translations, usage by early "Ante-Nicene Fathers," and the various alternatives to YHWH, and comments made by anyone else that might seem partly relevant or interesting (Philo, Josephus, Ebionites, Talmud, Gnostics, etc.). It's still a big topic.
The arguments that many find relevant are found in Gerard Gertoux, which can be seen here: http://areopage.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Gertoux_UseNameEarlyChristians.pdf
He references G. Howard, of course, which might even be a better place to start. (HOWARD, Biblical Archaeology Review Vol IV, No. 1). His ideas can be found online here: http://www.jstor.org/stable/3265328?seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents
