  13. Clothing Did Not Wear Out ?  Miracles From Jehovah’s Hand ! ? In what way did the Israelites’ clothing not wear out and their feet not become swollen during their 40 year wilderness trek? This was a miraculous provision, as was the regular supply of manna. The Israelites used the same garments and protective footwear they started out with, likely passing them on to others as children grew up and adults died. Today, Jehovah also cares for our needs so that we can serve him faithfully and with perseverance. We never want to lose our faith in Jehovah and disobey him like the thousands of Israelites who died in the wilderness. Their bad example is a warning for us today. - Highlights From the Book of Deuteronomy 8:3,4.
  16. The Greek-speaking Jews began complaining against the Hebrew-speaking Jews.—Acts 6:1. As Christianity spread, much communication among Christians was in Greek. In fact, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, which contain inspired records of what Jesus taught and did, were widely distributed in Greek. Thus, the language of many disciples was Greek rather than Hebrew. The letters of the apostle Paul and the other inspired books were also distributed in Greek. It is noteworthy that when writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures quoted from the Hebrew Scriptures, they usually did so from the Septuagint. These quotations, which at times vary somewhat from the exact Hebrew wording, are now part of the inspired Scriptures. Thus, the work of imperfect human translators became part of the inspired Word of God, a God who does not favor one culture or language over another.—Acts 10:34. w15 12/15 1:8, 9 https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2017/10/26

  21. ( THE BEST VERSION...) Grandma’s Duck A little boy and his sister once spent a week visiting their grandparents on their farm. The little boy was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced and practiced, aiming at trees or old tin cans, but he could never hit his target. Discouraged, he headed back to the house as dinner time was approaching. As he was walking back, he saw Grandma’s pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square on the head, and killed it. He was shocked and greatly saddened to harm the innocent duck. Panicked, he hid the dead duck in a wood pile, only to see his sister, Sally, watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch the next day, Grandma said, “Sally, let’s wash the dishes.” But Sally said, “Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.” Then she whispered to her brother, “Remember, I know about the duck!” So Johnny did the dishes. Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing but Grandma said, “I’m sorry, but I need Sally to stay here and help make supper.” Sally just smiled and said, “That’s ok. Johnny told me, HE wanted to help make supper!” She whispered to her brother again, “Remember, I know about the duck!” So Sally went fishing while Johnny stayed home and helped make dinner. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally’s, he finally couldn’t stand it any longer. He came to his Grandma and confessed in tears that he had killed her pet duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, “Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make you her slave.” In our story here, the grandmother saw all, and forgave her grandson. In the Bible we read that the Father knows all, and for His child, forgives all. How complete is that forgiveness? Psalm 103:12 says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Isaiah 1:18 says, “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” And Hebrews 8:12 speaks of the Lord saying of His people, quote, “their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Friend, do you really think you have any secrets from the Lord? Is the enemy holding you hostage to your own thoughts, as you remember this sin and that sin—sins that, for the child of God, these verses tell us the Lord has removed as far as the east from the west, that have been turned from scarlet to white as snow, that the Lord says he remembers no more? In light of what the Lord has already declared in these and many other verses, ought we not to heed the words of Phil 3:13-14, where we read of, quote, “forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” As the little boy in our story turned to his grandmother, so, too, child of God, turn to your HEAVENLY Father
  22. ( little different...) Johnny, Sally, and the Duck A Story of Forgiveness.... A little boy visiting his grandparents was given his first slingshot. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit his target. As he came back to Grandma’s back yard, he spied her pet duck. On an impulse he took aim and let fly. The stone hit, and the duck fell dead. The boy panicked. Desperately he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to look up and see his sister watching. Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch that day, Grandma said, “Sally, let’s wash the dishes.” But Sally said, “Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen today. Didn’t you Johnny?” And she whispered to him, “Remember the duck!” So Johnny did the dishes. Later, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing. Grandma said, “I’m sorry, but I need Sally to help me make supper.” Sally smiled and said, “That’s all taken care of. Johnny wants to do it.” Again she whispered, “Remember the duck.” Johnny stayed while Sally went fishing. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally’s, finally he couldn’t stand it. He confessed to Grandma that he’d killed the duck. “I know, Johnny,” she said, giving him a hug. “I was standing at the window and saw the whole thing. Because I love you, I forgave you. But I wondered how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.” - Author Unknown
  23. ? Jehovah God Is At The Window ? There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, " I’m sorry but I need Sally to help make supper. " Sally just smiled and said, " well that’s all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help. " She whispered again, " Remember the duck ? " So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally’s; he Finally couldn’t stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, " Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you " Thought for the day and every day thereafter Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done ? And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face - lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc. - whatever it is, You need to know, Jehovah God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life, He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven, He’s just wondering, how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.... The great thing about Jehovah is that when you ask for forgiveness He not only forgives you, but He forgets It is by God’s grace and mercy that we are saved. Go ahead and make the difference in someone’s life today. Share this with a friend and always remember, Jehovah God is at the window ( just seen by Brother Bamps... but I also know it from a video..)
