  4. I will glorify the place for my feet.—Isa. 60:13. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2017/5/17 What a pleasure it is to offer practical, appealing, and attractive literature in the ministry! And when we use the latest technology to spread the truth, such as by means of the jw.org website, we reflect Jehovah’s interest in providing people everywhere with the guidance most of them lack but so desperately need. Not to be overlooked is the wisdom behind the adjustment that allowed us to have a Family Worship evening or more time for personal study. We also appreciate advances made in assembly and convention programs. We often say that they get better every year! And we certainly rejoice over the increased training being provided by our many theocratic schools. In all these adjustments, Jehovah’s hand is clearly seen. He progressively enhances the beauty of his organization and of the spiritual paradise that we enjoy even now! w15 7/15 1:16, 17

F C for revealing to them his love. F So you have them your name Am The kingdom hope to proclaim. Bb Gm That was reserved for our day F C Their faithful words to show us the way. Ooh, whatever your enemies tried, they could not silence you. Your loyal ones who love your word kept their faith, integrity too. And you told us your name is Jehovah in your word it's plain to see. So your name will endure, all your words will come true and we'll praise you all of our days. 8. Motto : 'TURRIS FORTISSIMA EST NOMEN JEHOVA' - The name of the Lord is our strongest tower. Origin/meaning The arms were officially recorded in 1620. Following the addition of the two neighbouring towns of East Stonehouse and Devonport in 1914, and the elevation to a City in 1928, a crest and supporters were added to the historic arms in 1931. The arms show a saltire for St. Andrew, patron saint of Plymouth, between four towers for the town's fortifications. This shield was sometimes shown suported by two gold lions, but they were never officially granted. The crest is for Devonport. It consists of a Naval Crown, from which rises an English lion's paw grasping an anchor. Devonport contained the most important Royal Naval Dockyard of the then British Empire. The supporters recall the gold lions unofficially used in previous years. They are differenced by being made regarduant and having naval crowns around their necks. From the crowns hang roundels with a boar's head for the Mount Edgcumbe family, who were closely associated with the town of East Stonehouse. The motto is TURRIS FORTISSIMA EST NOMEN JEHOVAH or The Name of the Lord is the Strongest Tower. Aside from the biblical reference the motto echoes the towers in the arms.
  9. Perdónanos nuestras deudas (Mat. 6:12). https://wol.jw.org/es/wol/dt/r4/lp-s/2017/5/16 ¿Por qué dijo aquí “deudas” Jesús si en una ocasión posterior dijo “pecados”? (Mat. 6:12; Luc. 11:4).
  10. Forgive us our debts.—Matt. 6:12. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2017/5/16 Why did Jesus use the word “debts,” whereas on a later occasion, he spoke of “sins”? (Matt. 6:12; Luke 11:4) Over 60 years ago, The Watchtower nicely explained: “A sin of transgression against God’s law puts us in debt to him. . . . For our sin God could demand and exact our lives. . . . He could withdraw his peace from us, breaking off all peaceful relations with us. . . . We owe him love, expressed in obedience; and when we sin we fail in paying our debt of love to him, for sin is unloving toward God.” (1 John 5:3) Our daily need for forgiveness highlights the only legal basis on which God can cancel our sins—Jesus’ ransom sacrifice. Though this ransom was paid nearly 2,000 years ago, we should cherish it as if it were a gift given today. “The ransom price” for our lives “is so precious” that nothing any imperfect human could do for us would come near to paying it.—Ps. 49:7-9; 1 Pet. 1:18, 19. w15 6/15 5:9, 10

  18. BY ERIKA NORTON...... WARWICK — The new Jehovah's Witnesses World Headquarters located in Sterling Forest will be completed in August, thanks to the help of more than 25,000 volunteers from across the country who contributed to its construction. Some of the volunteers have stayed at the site since ground breaking three years ago, such as spokesperson for Jehovah's Witnesses, Richard Devine, and his wife, while others have come for a week or a three-day weekend. With more than 1.2 million Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States, many of which own construction businesses or work in construction, there is a high skill level working on the project. 'Going green' One of the goals for the world headquarters campus was to make it efficient, both for workers getting around and energy efficiency. The first was accomplished through connecting the buildings with covered walkways, some of which are above ground while others are below. Devine said this helps workers easily get around the campus, especially elderly residents in the winter. Being an energy efficient campus was created in a number of ways, one of which was through storm water control. “We're not allowed to release storm water at any faster rate than it was in it's natural setting,” Devine said, “so we've incorporated things like this permeable paving ... and there's a couple feet of gravel below this so as the rain comes, it will just immediately go back into groundwater and won't runoff into the streams.” There is also a large amount of underground water storage. Around the lake, there is a double row of black silt fencing, which keeps mud and dirt from flowing into the lake, and keeps the rattlesnakes out. As far as the landscaping around the campus, Devine said they were not allowed to use any plants that are not native to Sterling Forest. And one of the most “green” additions to the headquarters is the installation of a growing medium on all of the flat roofs, containing little succulents and other similar plants. “The whole idea is when it rains, the roof holds the moisture up here and then the plants can aspirate it over time,” Devine said. “By and large, we like to hold in as much water as we can and then that avoids having to discharge it into the streams or into our underground storage.” There's also a geothermal field on site. Using about 125 wells, each 500 feet deep, in the wintertime, the system pulls heat from the ground used to heat the buildings and make hot water, and in the summertime, heat is put into the ground. With just one plant providing heating and air conditioning to all eight buildings, it is more energy efficient and requires less personnel. With all of this green technology installed, according to the headquarters' engineers, the site will most likely receive four green globes, the highest rating given by the Green Building Initiative, an organization similar to LEED. Aspects like the use of recycled materials, construction practices, the use of green roofs, landscaping and storm water retention are all taken into account. A WONDERFUL PROJECT IS NOW FINISHED ;-))
