  1. Matt. 24 : 19 - 22 . 19 Woe to the pregnant women and those nursing a baby in those days! 20 Keep praying that your flight may not occur in wintertime nor on the Sabbath day; 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.
  2. HEART TRANSPLANTATION IN JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.... According to Organ Procurement and Transplantation, only about 2,600 donor hearts are available each year. At any given time, about 4,000 people are on the waiting list for a heart transplant. In the past, people with religious objections to blood transfusions refused this and other resuscitation procedures. But for many, surgery is now possible without conflict with faith. Raoul Gibson, 35, received the heart of a donor at Duke Hospital on the last Valentine's Day. Normally, he would have had to refuse the transplant to save lives, due to a certain principle of his Jehovah's Witnesses faith. "The fact that I was not going to accept blood, blood transfusions, or any whole blood product," Gibson said. Ten years ago, Duke started his Center for Blood Conservation. They developed a process for any surgery involving transfusions to control bleeding. Dr. Mani Daneshmand said that they worked closely with representatives of Jehovah's Witnesses. Gibson was hospitalized for more than a month, receiving a natural hormone to stimulate the production of red blood cells. Later they are allowed to remove some of their blood, yet they remain true to a key principle. "We actually keep the blood in continuity with its own blood, but we remove it so the blood can not bleed," Daneshmand said. That more concentrated blood is replaced with other non-blood fluids, so a little bleeding will not present problems. There is also a "cell protector" device. "So any blood that is lost is absorbed immediately by that apparatus and returned to the bloodstream," Daneshmand said. "They wash all the organs before they put them on me, so they would not be exposed to blood," Gibson said. Gibson said he is anxious to return home and enjoy a more normal life. "I'm looking forward to seeing how my new heart feels and how I'm going to be able to do new things," Gibson said. Http://www.wral.com/duke-makes-organ-transplants-possible

  11. MEMORIAL Memorial of Jesus’ Death.... We warmly invite you to attend the annual Memorial of Jesus’ death with us on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 A free Bible-based talk will explain how Jesus’ death can benefit you and your family. Peace, Health, and Prosperity—Everyone’s Dream! Centuries ago, a divinely inspired prophet foretold the time when man would be at peace with nature. Illness would be eliminated. Families would build their own houses, plant their own fields, and enjoy the fruits of their labors.—Isaiah 11:6-9; 35:5, 6; 65:21-23. Jesus performed powerful works that showed on a small scale how such prophecies will become a global reality. His death was fundamental to the future elimination of every cause for sorrow. So important was Jesus’ death to the fulfillment of God’s purposes that Jesus commanded his disciples to commemorate it.—Luke 22:19, 20. This year, according to the Bible’s lunar calendar, the anniversary of Jesus’ death falls on Tuesday, April 11. Jehovah’s Witnesses invite you to meet with them on that date to listen to an explanation of how his death can benefit you and your family. https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/memorial/

  14. Happy are the pure in heart, since they will see God.—Matt. 5:8. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2017/3/17 How might we see Jehovah’s hand in our lives? Consider: Perhaps you feel that the way you received the truth was clearly at God’s direction. Have you ever attended Christian meetings, heard a part, and said: “That was just what I needed”? Or you may have experienced an answer to a prayer. Maybe you decided to expand your ministry and were amazed at how Jehovah helped to work things out for you. Or have you ever experienced leaving a job for spiritual reasons and then seen the truth of God’s promise: “I will never abandon you”? (Heb. 13:5) By being spiritually alert and “pure in heart,” we can discern how Jehovah has helped us in many ways. How can we be “pure in heart”? We must be clean on the inside and stop any wrong conduct. (2 Cor. 4:2) As we cultivate stronger spirituality and manifest upright conduct, we put ourselves among those who can see God. w15 10/15 1:17, 19
  15. The Ransom—God’s Greatest Gift Why Did Jesus Die? The Bible’s answer... Jesus died so that humans could have their sins forgiven and receive endless life. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 1:7) Jesus’ death also proved that a human can remain loyal to God even when faced with the severest of tests.—Hebrews 4:15. Consider how the death of one man could accomplish so much. Jesus died for “the forgiveness of our sins.”—Colossians 1:14. The first human, Adam, was created perfect, without sin. However, he chose to disobey God. Adam’s disobedience, or sin, profoundly affected all his descendants. “Through the disobedience of the one man,” the Bible explains, “many were made sinners.”—Romans 5:19. Jesus was also perfect, but he never sinned. Therefore, he could be “an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 2:2; footnote) Just as Adam’s disobedience contaminated the human family with sin, so Jesus’ death removed the stain of sin from all who exercise faith in him. In a sense, Adam sold the human race into sin. Jesus, by willingly dying in our behalf, repurchased humankind as his own. As a result, “if anyone does commit a sin, we have a helper with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one.”—1 John 2:1. Jesus died “so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”—John 3:16. Although Adam was created to live forever, his sin brought upon him the penalty of death. Through Adam, “sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned.”—Romans 5:12. In contrast, Jesus’ death not only removed the blemish of sin but also canceled the death sentence for all who exercise faith in him. The Bible sums up matters this way: “Just as sin ruled as king with death, so also undeserved kindness might rule as king through righteousness leading to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”—Romans 5:21. Of course, humans today still have a limited life span. However, God promises that he will grant righteous humans everlasting life and resurrect the dead so that they too can benefit from Jesus’ sacrificial death.—Psalm 37:29; 1 Corinthians 15:22. Jesus “became obedient to the point of death,” thus proving that a human could be faithful to God under any test or trial.—Philippians 2:8. Despite having a perfect mind and body, Adam disobeyed God because he selfishly desired something that did not belong to him. (Genesis 2:16, 17; 3:6) Later, God’s chief enemy, Satan, suggested that no human would unselfishly obey God, especially if his life were on the line. (Job 2:4) Yet, the perfect man Jesus obeyed God and remained loyal to him, even undergoing a disgraceful and painful death. (Hebrews 7:26) This completely settled the matter: A human can remain faithful to God under whatever test or trial may be brought upon him. read more... https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/why-did-jesus-die/

8:7-11). w15 15/9 5:5, 6
