We need to safeguard our spirituality. Because we live in a world that is dominated by Satan the Devil and because we are imperfect, it is easy for us to adopt the wrong thinking and conduct of the world. The world’s spirit might be compared to a river current that is pulling us in a direction we do not want to go. To avoid being swept downstream, we must vigorously swim in the other direction. Similarly, effort is required to keep from being swept away by the spirit of Satan’s world. When we are preaching to others, we focus on important and beneficial spiritual matters, not on thoughts that will erode our faith. Preaching strengthens our convictions, reminding us of God’s promises and loving standards. It also helps keep our spiritual armor intact. (Eph. 6:14-17) If we keep busy in our spiritual activities, we simply do not have time to become overly concerned with our own problems, and that helps to protect us. w16.01 5:12, 13

Los cristianos tenemos que cuidar nuestra relación con Jehová. Como somos imperfectos y vivimos en una sociedad que está controlada por el Diablo, es fácil que se nos contagien la manera de pensar y la conducta de la gente en general. El espíritu de este mundo es como la corriente de un río que nos lleva a una muerte segura. Si no queremos que nos arrastre, debemos nadar con todas nuestras fuerzas. De forma parecida, tenemos que luchar para que el espíritu del mundo de Satanás no nos arrastre y destruya nuestra relación con Dios. Cuando predicamos, nuestra mente se concentra en cosas que nos benefician, no en cosas que debilitan nuestra fe. Nuestras creencias se hacen más fuertes porque repasamos las promesas y las normas de Jehová. Por otro lado, la predicación nos ayuda a mantener como nueva la armadura espiritual (Efes. 6:14-17). Si nos mantenemos ocupados en actividades espirituales, no tendremos tiempo para preocuparnos demasiado por nuestros problemas, y eso también es una protección. w16.01 5:12, 13

¿Por qué hablan los testigos de Jehová con personas que ya dijeron "No estoy interesado"?

Los Testigos de Jehová, motivados por el amor a Dios y el amor al prójimo, disfrutan compartiendo el mensaje de la Biblia con todas las personas, incluyendo aquellos que han dicho anteriormente: "No estoy interesado." (Mateo 22: 37-39) Obedecer el mandamiento de su Hijo "de dar un testimonio completo" (Hechos 10:42; 1 Juan 5: 3) Para hacer esto, traemos el mensaje de Dios más de una vez, tal como lo hicieron los profetas antiguos de Dios. (Jeremías 25: 4) Debido a que amamos a nuestros vecinos, tratamos de compartir la "buena noticia del Reino" salvadora con todos, incluso aquellos que al principio no estaban interesados en ella (Mateo 24:14).

A menudo encontramos interés cuando regresamos a hogares donde no encontramos interés antes. Considere tres razones:

    La gente se mueve.

    Otros en el hogar muestran interés en nuestro mensaje.

    La gente cambia. Los acontecimientos mundiales o las circunstancias personales hacen que algunos se vuelvan más "conscientes de su necesidad espiritual" y se interesen por el mensaje de la Biblia. (Mateo 5: 3) Incluso aquellos que se oponen pueden tener un cambio de corazón, como lo hizo el apóstol Pablo. - 1 Timoteo 1:13.

Sin embargo, no forzamos nuestro mensaje a nadie. (1 Pedro 3:15) Creemos que cada persona debe tomar su propia decisión en el asunto de la adoración. - Deuteronomio 30:19, 20

Si se guardan cuidadosamente de estas cosas, prosperarán. ¡Buena salud a ustedes! (Hech. 15:29).

El consejo de ancianos que dirigía a la congregación cristiana termina su carta con una frase que también puede traducirse “fortalézcanse”. Sin duda todos queremos fortalecer nuestra salud para servir al máximo a nuestro gran Dios. Mientras vivamos en este mundo y seamos imperfectos, tendremos que seguir luchando con las enfermedades. Hoy día no podemos esperar que nuestros problemas de salud desaparezcan milagrosamente. No obstante, Revelación 22:1, 2 nos asegura que muy pronto seremos curados por completo. El apóstol Juan observó en una visión “un río de agua de vida” y “árboles de vida” con hojas que servían “para la curación de las naciones”. Eso no quiere decir que exista o que vaya a existir un remedio a base de hierbas. Más bien, esta visión representa las cosas que Jehová hará por medio de Jesús para dar vida eterna a la humanidad, algo que deseamos con todo el corazón (Is. 35:5, 6). w15 15/12 4:17, 18

These final words of the letter that the first-century governing body sent to the congregations can also be rendered “be strong.” We definitely want to prosper in “good health” and be strong as we serve our great God. As long as the present system of things remains and we are imperfect, sickness is a fact that we must face. We cannot expect now to be cured miraculously. However, Revelation 22:1, 2 points to the time when we will be healed completely. The apostle John saw in vision “a river of water of life” and “trees of life” with leaves “for the healing of the nations.” This does not refer to any herbal remedy now or in the future. Rather, it points to Jehovah’s provision through Jesus for giving everlasting life to obedient mankind—truly something we can look forward to.—Isa. 35:5, 6. w15 12/15 4:17, 18

@Susan Ramirez  I  agree  with  you  my  sister !  Your  idea  is  very  right-minded...  to wait  for  the  resurrection  and  then  we  can  ask  King  Hezekiah  himself !   Many  here  have  daily  SO  many  questions  or  conjectures,  thats  humanly,  but  we  can't  find  a  clear, true  answer  of  all  that  about  the  far  old  time,  thats  normal.
