"The great day of Jehovah is near!
It is near and it is approaching very quickly!
The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter.
    There a warrior cries out...
A day of storm and desolation."
(Zeph. 1:14,15.). “Take Refuge in the Name of Jehovah”
“I shall certainly let remain . . . a people humble and lowly, and they will actually take refuge in the name of Jehovah.”—ZEPH. 3:12.  A different type of storm is approaching—one that threatens the very existence of the human race. It is a figurative “day of storm.” This “great day of Jehovah” will affect all mankind. “Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” (Rom. 10:13) Physical salvation is promised for God’s people. Jehovah’s Witnesses honor and glorify the divine name. They sanctify it by using it in a dignified way. Jehovah takes pleasure in those who trust in him, and he becomes whatever is necessary to bless and protect his people. “He is cognizant of those seeking refuge in him.”—Nah. 1:7; Acts 15:14. JW.ORG

Be courageous and strong of heart. Yes, hope in Jehovah.—Ps. 27:14.

    http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/11/17

We get courage by trusting in God and following the steps of his Son. (Ps. 28:7) During his ministry, Jesus showed courage in various ways. He boldly exposed the religious leaders for misleading the people with false teachings. (Matt. 23:13-36) He stood firm against the world’s contaminating influence. (John 16:33) He continued to preach despite pressure from opposers. (John 5:15-18; 7:14) Twice, he fearlessly cleansed the temple, driving out those who were defiling the worship there. (Matt. 21:12, 13; John 2:14-17) In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus fearlessly identified himself to the soldiers who came to arrest him. Although his own life was in danger, he spoke up to protect his disciples. (John 18:1-8) When questioned before the Sanhedrin, he boldly affirmed that he was both the Christ and the Son of God, even though he knew that the high priest was looking for an excuse to have him killed.—Mark 14:60-65. w15 2/15 2:3, 5, 6

    A  LITTLE  HUMOR.....

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump go into a bakery shop. As soon as they enter the bakery, Trump steals three pastries and puts them in his pocket. He says to Hillary: “See how clever I am? The owner didn’t even see anything, and I don’t even need to lie. I will definitely win the election.”   Hillary says to Donald: “That’s the typical dishonesty you have displayed throughout your entire life, trickery and deceit.  I am going to show you an honest way to get the same 3 pastries without stealing or lying, and also prove that I am much clever than you!” Hillary goes to the owner of the bakery and says: “Give me a pastry and I will show you a magic trick?”  Intrigued, the owner accepts Hillary’s offer and gives her a pastry. Hillary swallows it and asks for another one. The owner gives her another one. Then Hillary asks for a third pastry and eats that, too.  By this time, the owner is starting to wonder where the magic trick is and asks:

“What did you do with the pastries?”

Hillary replies: “Look in Donald’s pocket !”  ;-)

Vístanse de amor, porque es un vínculo perfecto de unión (Col. 3:14).

    http://wol.jw.org/es/wol/dt/r4/lp-s/2016/11/16

Clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union.—Col. 3:14.

    http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/11/16

Self-sacrificing, Christlike love is the mortar that binds the building blocks of a sturdy marital union. It makes the marriage unbreakable in the face of irritating personality flaws, daunting health challenges, distressing financial crises, and challenging in-law issues. True, it takes loving devotion, loyal commitment, and earnest effort to make a marriage succeed. Rather than abandoning the marriage when difficulties arise, marriage partners should be determined to make their relationship thrive—not just survive. Christian couples who are devoted to Jehovah and to each other are motivated by their love for God and for each other to resolve their difficulties, for “love never fails.” (1 Cor. 13:8; Matt. 19:5, 6; Heb. 13:4) Building a strong and happy marriage is particularly challenging in the “critical times” in which we live. (2 Tim. 3:1) But with Jehovah’s help, it is possible. w15 1/15 3:18-20

A  REMINDER  to  our  in  past  oldest  JW,  (107 years)

    LEOPOLD  ENGLEITNER / AUSTRIA

The oldest known male survivor of the Nazi concentration camps, Austrian-born Leopold Engleitner, has died at the age of 107, Austrian media reported Thursday.

Engleitner passed away on  April 21. 2013,  but his death was only announced now in accordance with his wishes, said the daily Salzburger Nachrichten.

A Jehovah’s witness and conscientious objector who refused to serve in the Wehrmacht, the Austrian — born on July 23, 1905 in Strobl near Salzburg — was deported by the Nazis in 1939 and survived the concentration camps of Buchenwald, Niederhagen and Ravensbrueck before he was released in 1943 to carry out forced labour.

He weighed just 28 kilogrammes (62 pounds) upon his release.

Called up again in 1945, he escaped and managed to hide in the mountains.

After the war, he led a discrete life until a biography by Bernhard Rammerstorfer in 1999, “Unbroken Will”, turned him into a much sought-after speaker.

Engleitner travelled through Europe, Russia and the United States in the following years, giving lectures, including at the Los Angeles Simon Wiesenthal Center, and telling his story in schools and universities.

A recent short film about his life entitled “Ladder in the Lion’s Den” has won awards at film festivals in the US and Puerto Rico.

The world’s oldest concentration camp survivor is believed to be Alice Herz-Sommer, born in 1903.
