  1. For this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.—John 18:37. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/10/21 When on trial for his life, Jesus Christ said those words to the Roman governor of Judea. Jesus had just identified himself as a king. Years later, the apostle Paul referred to this courageous example of Jesus, “who as a witness made the fine public declaration before Pontius Pilate.” (1 Tim. 6:13) Indeed, it sometimes requires great courage to be a “faithful and true witness” in Satan’s hate-filled world! (Rev. 3:14) As a member of the Jewish nation, Jesus was a witness of Jehovah by birth. (Isa. 43:10) Indeed, he turned out to be the greatest witness God has ever raised up in behalf of His name. Jesus zealously witnessed about God’s Kingdom. The Gospel writer Mark reported: “Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the good news of God and saying: ‘The appointed time has been fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent, and have faith in the good news.’”—Mark 1:14, 15. w14 7/15 4:1, 2
  2. South Korea court frees Jehovah’s Witnesses who refused to serve in military... Two South Korean men who refused to do military service have had their convictions overturned in a landmark ruling against the government. Cho Rak Hoon and Kim Hyung Geun were freed by an appeals court in the southern city of Gwangju today. They had been sentenced to 18 months in prison for refusing military service at their trials, in June 2015 and May 2016 respectively, according to Amnesty International. All South Korean men are required by law to do two years of active military service. Most go into uniform aged 18; anyone else has to complete their service. 3.
  6. Assist those who are weak.—Acts 20:35. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/10/20 You may know from personal experience that it can take time to recover from a debilitating physical illness. Similarly, a Christian who has been weakened by personal difficulties or very trying circumstances may need time to regain spiritual strength. True, our fellow believer will need to strengthen his own faith through personal study, prayer, and other Christian activities. But will we show patience until he regains his balance? And during that recovery, will we show enduring love? Will we strive to help those who are temporarily weak to feel valued and to sense our Christian affection? (2 Cor. 8:8) Never forget that as we provide support to our brothers, we experience the joy that only giving can bring. We also cultivate our capacity for showing empathy and patience. But there is more. The congregation as a whole grows in warmth and love. Above all, we imitate Jehovah, who considers every individual to be precious. w14 6/15 3:18, 19

  11. Jesus began preaching and saying: “Repent, for the Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”—Matt. 4:17, http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/10/19 Jesus taught his disciples to do the same work. He told them: “You will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the most distant part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) The early followers of Christ definitely understood what was required of them. At Antioch in Pisidia, for example, Paul and Barnabas boldly told their Jewish opposers: “It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken first to you. Since you are rejecting it and do not judge yourselves worthy of everlasting life, look! we turn to the nations. For Jehovah has commanded us in these words: ‘I have appointed you as a light of nations, for you to be a salvation to the ends of the earth.’” (Acts 13:14, 45-47) Since the first century, the earthly part of God’s organization has been making known his provision for salvation. w14 5/15 3:13
  12. THE LOTUS EFFECT... CREATED BY JEHOVAH ❤ Water on the surface of a lotus leaf.... Computer graphic of a lotus leaf surface... The lotus effect refers to self-cleaning properties that are a result of ultrahydrophobicity as exhibited by the leaves of Nelumbo or "lotus flower".[1] Dirt particles are picked up by water droplets due to the micro- and nanoscopic architecture on the surface, which minimizes the droplet's adhesion to that surface. Ultrahydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties are also found in other plants, such as Tropaeolum (nasturtium), Opuntia (prickly pear), Alchemilla, cane, and also on the wings of certain insects.[2] The phenomenon of ultrahydrophobicity was first studied by Dettre and Johnson in 1964[3] using rough hydrophobic surfaces. Their work developed a theoretical model based on experiments with glass beads coated with paraffin or PTFE telomer. The self-cleaning property of ultrahydrophobic micro-nanostructured surfaces was studied by Barthlott and Ehler in 1977,[4] who described such self-cleaning and ultrahydrophobic properties for the first time as the "lotus effect"; perfluoroalkyl and perfluoropolyether ultrahydrophobic materials were developed by Brown in 1986 for handling chemical and biological fluids.[5] Other biotechnical applications have emerged since the 1990s --- read more... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_effect

  14. 10/17/2016 - INDIA, Indien, Zone karnataka - Mumbai (AsiaNews) Karnataka: 6 Jehovah's Witnesses arrested on charges of forced conversions. :-( Two far-right Hindu groups filed a complaint against the Witnesses. Leaflets encouraging conversions to their beliefs were found in a car. For Christian leader, "India is a secular nation” and “the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion." Speaking to AsiaNews, Sajan K George, president of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), condemned the arrests. He said that the Jehovah’s Witnesses "were stopped as they handed out religious tracts house to house,” noting that “the distribution of Christian religious material is neither illegal nor criminal." The incident occurred in Manikallu, Udupi district, scene in recent years of several attacks by Hindu radicals against Christians. Members of two nationalist groups, the Bhramari Yuvaka Mandal and Hindu Jagran Vedike, alerted police in Kota of the presence of Jehovah’s Witnesses, saying they were converting people by force. The police rushed to the village and took six Witnesses into custody, on charges of religious propaganda. Leaflets inciting people to convert were found inside a car. Sajan K George rejects the charges against the Christians, and slams the police, "which leans towards the local extreme right-wing groups and charges Christians and others on false charges." "India is a secular nation,” he reiterated, “and Article 25 of the Constitution guarantees the free profession, practice and propagation of religion." (NC)
  15. PREACHING THE NEW KIND.... Sister takes her car, parked in a public place and mount point information. As the Watchtower study this week, adapt to new means of preaching he says. MAY JEHOVAH BLESS HER ❤
  18. Thank you very much for the detailed and wonderful comment, Brother Praeceptor. You could enjoy the nice talk from Brother Lett. I got the text and picture from a Spanish Brother. I also know such of connected talks from other GB. Brothers, so nice, yes ;-) Again, thank you !
  19. Jehovah is my helper; I will not be afraid.—Heb. 13:6. http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2016/10/18 “People often comment about how happy Jehovah’s Witnesses are,” says a longtime elder in a developing country. “They also notice that even poor Witnesses are always nicely dressed and appear to be better off than others.” This harmonizes with the promise Jesus made to those who put the Kingdom first. (Matt. 6:28-30, 33) Yes, your heavenly Father, Jehovah, loves you and wants only the best for you and your children. “The eyes of Jehovah are roving about through all the earth to show his strength in behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him.” (2 Chron. 16:9) He has given us his commandments—including those relating to family life and material needs—for our benefit. When we follow them, we show that we love him and trust in him. “This is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome.”—1 John 5:3. w14 4/15 4:19, 20
  20. BROTHER Steven Lett, visited Greece on 16 October ALL CONGREGATIONS OF GREECE AND CYPRUS WERE CONNECTED ONLINE. The title of his speech was: "Protect your relationship with Jehovah by cultivating humility." Jesus was so humble that speak of himself in the third person, as "the son of man." The proud person is something unpleasant to the Lord because he claims something that belongs only to Jehovah. The brother then visit LIBERIA AND CONGO in Africa, which will give you a surprise in your language. ;-) Enjoy !
